AEF carried out an EICR in my first flat, an 1890s tenement with some 1990s appliances and some previously bodged electrical work. Following that, they replaced and rewired the fuse board, removed two unearthed plug sockets and installed new ones, installed a new 32A cable for an induction hob and returned to install the hob itself and an electric oven, upgraded the fire alarm system, replaced the bathroom spotlights, and changed a pendant fitting to a flush-mounted ceiling light. Dave was very quick to respond and courteous throughout the process - I had made it clear from the outset that I needed to keep my costs as low as possible, and he took the time to talk me through the different options for the major work to help my budget. Jonny and Callum were absolutely brilliant when they came to do the rewiring, which involved taking up and replacing some old stripped wooden floorboards. Apart from a bit of dust (and some gorgeous new, safe, plug sockets), there was literally no trace they had been there when I returned home! They even took a look at the switch on my electric shower, which had started 'sticking' on the morning they were here, at the same time and diagnosed the problem, meaning I could call out a separate company for a specific repair, saving me money. For each piece of work they made what could have been a stressful and difficult experience in my first home very easy and I wouldn't hesitate to get back in touch with them for any electrical work in the future.

AEF carried out a full house rewire as part of internal building work we were having done. Their work included the electrical work associated with new kitchen installation. The work was very well planned and done in collaboration with our builder and architect. Dave and his team were helpful and professional throughout and communication was excellent. The work started on the planned date and finished as scheduled. One quite minor issue thereafter was quickly dealt with. The work was done at the quoted cost. I would have no hesitation in using AEF again and in recommending.

Dealt with both Dave and Jonny as job took a couple of steps to complete. Very pleased with all aspects, from initial contact, through advice, and completion of job in two stages. Wasn't really sure what was needed, and got solid advice which saved me a bigger job later (RTS Switch off). Turned up exactly when they said they would, clean and tidy job at a fair price. 100% recommended.

I have used Dave and his Team at AEF Electrical Ltd several times now for various jobs. Always reliable and excellent service recieved. Jonny came this time round to undertake some rewiring of bathroom lights. As always arrived on time, undertook the work as required and left the place clean and tidy. We were very impressed by AEF Electrical Ltd. From first contact until the work was completed. We had night storage heaters fitted in our flat. The work was carried out, by friendly and polite electricians. They arrived on time, they were very professional and left all areas neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend and use this company again.

I am very happy with the work carried out by AEF. I had a load of small jobs needing to be done, so we agreed to an hourly rate. The jobs were finished to a high standard, and the end cost was very reasonable. More than happy to recommend and use their services again in the future.

Very professional, excellent workmanship and service. Dave was amazing in his prompt replies, advising on the best options and arranging everything. Joanny did a brilliant job on the day. He was very professional and arrived on time. He fitted a silent extractor fan/ isolator switch in the bathroom, it was all done in an hour with no cosmetic repairs needed AT ALL ( see photo). He also did some electric work around the kitchen cupboards tidied up / redirected / mini trunked exposed wiring and wired a new single socket position for the new fridge-freezer place. Whole house was rewired, taking less than 2 weeks. When estimating for the job, they made several suggestions that we had not considered that were helpful The work was speedily done and came in under the estimate. The electricians were friendly and helpful. Will definitely use them again.

Used AEF for a new bathroom fan. Requested quotes from four firms. AEF were slightly cheaper (?£10) but the reason we chose them was their help in providing details of the make and model of fan which we requested. On the day they did a great job, friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.

We found this contractor from the Which website. They were efficient - came and did an estimate quickly, gave good advice on options and then came back and did the work on the day and time arranged - no problems.
