Andrew and his team acted professionally throughout... from initial contact to completion. The price paid was the price on the initial quote. They even replaced pipework to an outside tap as it looked unsightly, with no extra charge. The new boiler was moved to a new location with minimal fuss. The team were considerate of their surroundings and cleared up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to engage their services again and would recommend them highly to others.

Andy and Tim are very knowledgeable and experienced. We were having an urgent replacement of a 23 year old Potterton gas boiler by the latest Worcester-Bosch. We'd had an earlier quote by a well known local rival, but were not impressed by his method. Andy's quote was higher than his, but justified by his advice for a higher power model of the boiler, a replacement of the pump, etc. -- and why. Andy sticks to his quote and his thorough list of what he will do, whereas the other man expected us to sign a legal document with a long list of legal clauses, after a very vague list of what he was going to do. The whole complex job was started at 8am and was done by 4.30pm. Not cheap, but good value.

Our Boiler finally gave out during recent cold weather on a January Sunday evening, on phoning AGW, our normal boiler service engineer first thing Monday, they arrived by 11.30am and managed to get the boiler operating again, but confirmed that the boiler was on its last legs. We had been informed about this likely situation during it’s annual service some three months previously. A full quotation for a new Worcester boiler was sent to us within two days, which was accepted as it was very competitively priced.The installation was carried out in one day, on a date that suited us, and also with nothing for us to clean or clear away. The New Boiler is a great improvement, and almost silent. AGW are extremely pleasant to deal and very efficient, we would not hesitate it recommending them.

AGW replaced our old combi boiler and moved a radiator in one of our bedrooms. Andy visited to quote and emailed the quote later the same day. Date for work was set quickly and all communication was was prompt. Andy’s team arrived on time on agreed day and worked diligently to get the job completed the same day. The team tidied up when they had finished and Andy reassured me to contact him if we had any issues in the future.

Many thanks to Andy and Tim who on short notice replaced our very old (35+ years) failing boiler. Excellent and efficient service from start to finish of the job. Very pleased and the new boiler is a significant improvement over the old one. Couldn't recommend these guys enough.

AGW replaced a very old heat only boiler after it became uneconomical to repair (again!). The quote Andy gave was very competitive, however, we chose to use AGW because they are a local company and because of the recent Which? Trusted Trader reviews they'd received. We were really pleased with the work Tim and Andy did and they took their status as a Trusted Trader very seriously. The work they did was carried out professionally and did the whole job in a day. There were no hidden costs to the quote they looked at what we had, what was required and gave a clear quote for the job and made it clear that that is what we'd pay and it was. We had a couple of problems with the heating after installation because of the way the previous owners had had the house plumbed, but they returned and got this sorted with some good old fashioned humour. I've used AGW a couple more times since the boiler installation and they have always been extremely reliable, turning on the day and time they say and getting the job done without fuss. I have waited a couple of months before writing this and I am now more than happy to unreservedly recommend AGW to anyone looking for a professional and reliable heating engineer - a mate in the trade told me recently that reliable heating engineers are as rare as rocking horse s**t - well here's one - nuff said.

Had a new boiler installed. Tim arrived on time and worked cleanly and respectfully throughout the day. Answered all my questions thoughtfully and with understanding. Thoroughly cleaned up afterwards, removed all rubbish and old boiler and left my home as he found it. Warranty registration documents and building regs certificate have arrived promptly. It started well and stayed that way - Andy was there to see the work start and then left his 'experts' to get on with it. I've never seen such well turned out fitters before - and their work was all done in a calm and measured way - very reassuring. They even had the bandwidth to apply their skills to resolve a domestic emergency which unfolded while they were on site - thanks lads. And those of us that appreciate neat pipe soldering were treated to a masterclass. There was little trace of them having been in the house, when they left - aside from a lovely new boiler. Just as well as that's what we were expecting. AGW a firm recommendation then.

Andy and Tim have done an excellent job replacing my old Potterton boiler and Boilermate tank with a much more efficient and controllable system and it only took 2 days, as Andy said it would. I'm really pleased with it all and they were a pleasure to have in the house. Not only were they very efficient and cheerful but also very mindful of lockdown safety. They're a great team and I've already been recommending them to friends.

Andy and Tim fitted our new boiler, they were efficient and knowledgeable. The work was carried out to a high standard and our kitchen was left in a clean and tidy state. Being a local trader it’s good to know that they are close by and will call in if we have any problems. I would recommend this company.

My son recently moved into his first property. In typical fashion the old boiler in there decided to pack up and he has had no water or heating for 10 days. Other local plumbers we knew of or who had been recommended to us let us down by not even bothering to return our calls. Having read the list of Which Trusted Traders I decided to call AGW, and I’m so glad I did. My first call, in a real state of desperation, was on Monday afternoon. Andy was courteous and informative and after our conversation and my providing photographs he advised me the best way to sort the problem. I was provided with a detailed quote that I was more than happy with on Tuesday and a call on Wednesday confirmed that a new boiler had been sourced and would be fitted on Thursday. 4 days! Tim turned up promptly on Thursday and worked tidily and demonstrated great expertise, all the while observing social distancing but more than happy to keep us informed of what he was doing. On completion of the installation he took the trouble to explain the boiler and programming controls. Leaving us with the reassurance we could call if we needed any help. Andy also turned up for a short while during the morning to check everything was going ok and we were happy. I have no hesitation in recommending AGW Gas & Plumbing to anybody. They will certainly be my first call for boiler servicing and any other plumbing matters.

AGW GAS LTD have been brilliant. The first call was a water leak on a Saturday at 5 pm AGW came within 10 minutes of my call, dashed to obtain parts and the leak was stopped. Second visit to replace taps, and toilet seats and click and release type sink waste system. Perfect again, clean and completed quickly. Last week our old boiler died. I rang AGW they came the next morning, the boiler had been ordered, was delivered by 10 am and fitted that very afternoon. I cannot recommend it more highly, and the price was much better than I envisaged. A very hardworking, honest and thorough plumber.

We woke to our boiler not working, I called Andy at 08:30 he answered the call and was at our house an hour later. Replacement boiler ordered and fitted the next day! Detailed invoice supplied prior to agreeing to proceed. Everything explained in detail and very polite and tidy team. Would recommend.

Andy replaced our 21 year old boiler with combo boiler and fitted some new radiators. He was prompt in providing a quotation and provided a full explanation of what was involved. The work was completed on time and within the budget. Andy is articulate and we were very impressed with the quality workmanship and was tidy when doing the work. Overall it was a good experience throughout the whole process and was impressed with Andy's professionalism.

1) as part of a house extension we needed to replace an existing boiler. Andy provided very professional advice on the replacement, then worked in close collaboration with the builders to install the new one while extensive building work was ongoing. At the same time, he put in place preparation work for later stages, there was very little disruption and it was a beautifully neat job. 2) At a later stage, Andy and Tim installed the new bathroom items. I was particularly impressed by their attention to detail, a glass basin unit I had sourced separately was found to have minor faults but they strongly advised me to get replacements - four separate replacements before a good one. This is the sort of advice I needed but would not have had such a good result without their encouragement. They advised on design features, installed shower tray, cubicle and radiator, laid the floor, organised wall tiling and finished really nicely. The final result is simply superb. 3) During the building works, a long-standing problem with odour in a separate downstairs cloakroom was finally tackled. This required taking up an existing ceramic tiled floor (the reason it was long-standing), identifying the problem (cracked drain), repairing the broken part, then re-laying a new floor and fully reinstating the cloakroom, as well as installing a new stopcock (original would not turn). In summary, Andy, Tim and team have been very efficient and impressive and I would recommend AGW to anyone.

We had a new Worcester Bosch gas boiler installed. (We hadn't used AGW before, but were attracted by their customer reviews). Their advice and quote was comprehensive and speedy. The installers did an excellent job, were polite and provided a good walk through the controls. In fact the whole process was hassle free from start to finish! I would have no hesitation in recommending AGW.

We hired AGW for our cloakroom refit and changing our downstairs radiators. Andy was prompt with his quote, available on the phone and via email and reliable. He helped us choose suitable products and sourced them for us. Andy and his team worked effectively and efficiently. They told me what they were aiming to achieve each day and it was always done. They were polite and tidy. Not the cheapest quote we had but the quality of work was worth the extra.
