We had problems with our gas boiler, AGW came to assess the issue the following day and gave options as to how to proceed. The boiler was over 10 years old but we were given the option to either make repairs or have the boiler replaced. We were impressed by the thoroughness of the investigation and the speed at which we were able to get the work done. We opted for a new boiler (due to the age of the current system) and were extremely pleased with the work done.

AGW did an excellent job of fitting a new boiler and shower. The work was carried out very quickly and efficiently and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

AGW fitted a new boiler, replaced valves on the water tank, drained and refilled the radiators, and left my house tidier than when they started. I originally discussed options with Andy who went through the options in detail. Following agreement Andy sent through the quote quickly. A very reasonable quote! Tim arrived on the agreed day and was shortly joined by Stuart. Tim did the majority of the technical work, ensuring I was informed of what he was doing, and why. At one point he drew a picture so I could better understand, without me asking. Tim appeared unfazed when he had to ask Stuart to pick up more, unforeseen parts. He carefully explained fittings and legislation when doing his work in response to copious questions from me. Tim also explained when he was going to do some noisy work (he knew I was working from home). I've used AGW for some years, having received a personal recommendation from a friend. And I'm really glad they were recommended to me. I am really pleased with the work that Andy and Tim have completed over the years. And the new boiler that they've now installed (and previously the fireplace and all remedial work that they've done over the years). And at a great price. Always with a smile, good humour, and professional conversation. Highly recommended.

It's now been a fortnight since our new boiler was fitted and it's performing better than expected. AGW provided excellent service throughout the process when our existing boiler broke down after a botched repair by another plumber. Broke down on the Wednesday evening called AGW on the Thursday quote on the Friday, placed order on the Sunday, boiler sourced on the Monday, Installed on the Wednesday. What can be better than that. Andy and Tim are the A team, a quality bit of pluming.

Job done quickly, cleanly and within the estimate. Fully explained controls, what to look out for and guarantee details. Assured a revisit in the unlikely event of problems.

We asked Andy to quote for a new boiler. Within the week he had visited, agreed the boiler we needed (a Worcester as recommended by Which) and provided a quotation. Andy's quotation included a comprehensive list of work required and, based on an on-line search, was competitive with other suppliers. The boiler was supplied and fitted on budget and within a month of our initial enquiry. The team that fitted the boiler turned up exactly on time, were friendly and efficient, completed the work within the time they estimated, explained how everything worked and left the kitchen clean and tidy - taking the old boiler, packaging and debris away with them. We have two houses in the family that need new boilers and the first of these (my sister's) has been completed by AGW to a very high standard and our complete satisfaction. The new installation required the removal of a failed 20 plus year old Ideal Icos regular boiler and tanks, followed with the installation of a Which Recommended Bosch 8000 combination boiler, to the airing cupboard on the landing (instead of the kitchen). Tim and his team of Stuart and Connor arrived on time and cracked-on with the removal and re-working of the pipework on the first day and completed the entire install by the end of play on the second day. They were extremely professional and courteous and also took great effort to protect her home during the work. They worked with great skill and determination during some pretty hot weather conditions and also some challenging supply issues as well. We have no hesitation in recommending AGW Gas & Plumbing based on our first experience. We are looking forward to having the second install completed and potentially further projects with AGW in both houses to upgrade bathrooms and kitchens, later. My sister is already seeing the benefits of only heating the water she is actually using, just in time to help with the current higher energy costs.

Thank you to Andy & Tim for prompt service from quote to installation in just a few weeks, a new Worcester Bosch boiler ordered (be aware lead time for quality boiler like WB are increasing). Tim installed the boiler in less than a day with very tidy workmanship. Had a few IT niggles with the app based Bosch controller which Tim popped back at very short notice to fix. Tim and team removed a 30 year old plus Baxi boiler from the kitchen and tanks from the loft and replaced with a Worcester Bosch 8000 Style Combi relocated to a walk-in cupboard on landing. This required a new 28mm gas supply pipe and a flue through the roof. They also installed the Bosch EasyControl system and Smart Thermostats to each radiator. An excellent experience throughout and a good team on the job that you can feel very comfortable with in your home. This is the second boiler installation AGW have completed for our family (at different locations) in the space of a month and we are very pleased with both and can highly recommend them to others, with absolute confidence. All work was completed to a very high standard and on time. We felt the cost of both to be very good value for money.

Boiler condemned on Monday. These guys fitted (and relocated) a new boiler 3 days later, along with upgrading pipework. Courteous, tidy and competitively priced. Will always use them from now on for all my heating and plumbing needs. Just book them!

From the start, it was a pleasure working with Andy and his reliable team. Andy used his considerable experience to offer thoughtful advice. Andy and Tim turned up to complete a boiler install but also move the new boiler downstairs. They were very thorough and kept us informed of what they were doing at all times. Provided a quote prior to work commencing and stuck to that even after going above and beyond to ensure everything was working as it should, before leaving. A fabulous service all round.

Company came along and gave a quote very quickly for replacement combi boiler and supplied a full written quote for the work and parts needed. The installation went well and all the work was completed within one day. A very efficient and good service with any rubbish removed and area left clean & tidy. A good company to use.Would use them again for plumbing work.

Fitted a new boiler at short notice as British Gas let me down on a repair to old boiler. Excellent service, very knowledgeable as boiler needed to be moved, fitted boiler in one day, very clean and tidy workmanship.

I am absolutely delighted with the refurbishment of my en-suite. Andy was extremely helpful with the planning and selection of fittings, all I had to do was choose the paint colour. Our boiler gave out during a cold snap. Andy was very responsive and even though he had commitments he managed to come and check our boiler on the same day of contact. He managed to secure a new boiler very quickly and we agreed a reasonable price before the works started, the boiler was fitted the next day. Our boiler was playing, hot water was only lukewarm. Andy replied within minutes to my initial enquiry and gave good support to diagnose the problem. This was followed up the next working day to confirm the problem and a quote received that evening. The work was scheduled and completed a few days later. Tim carried out the installation, arriving just after 8am as agreed. The work was carried out competently and Tim kept me informed of the progress. He took time to fully explain the boiler controls and the smart thermostat. Finally the area was cleaned up, rubbish taken away and he even helped me put the fridge back in place below the new boiler. Why can’t all contractors be this good?

I cannot recommend Andy highly enough. Sorted our central heating and hot water problems out, before spending time giving us advice on boiler replacement or repair on the 13th of February 2023. We went for a replacement. Received his quotation on the evening of the 13th. We made an appointment for Monday 20th. Andy and his mate arrived at 0800 and fitted a new boiler. By 16.00 they had gone having cleaned up, pressure tested the system and given us working instructions. They had removed the old boiler, Hoovered, and left no rubbish at all. The only evidence of them ever being here was a new boiler. After some "plumber" experiences over the last few years. Andy is a revelation. I would recommend him to anyone. Boiler went pop just as the snow arrived made one enquiry and within no time at all an appointment was made. Great clear prompt communication throughout. I recently had a new boiler and several radiators installed by AGW. Andy also advised having a power flush and new programmable thermostat. Everything was installed promptly and efficiently by the team. Afterwards, they organised the Guarantee and Gas Safety Certificate on my behalf.
