I phoned AHL Locksmiths mid morning. Paul responded. He said he could visit mid afternoon today, but subsequently phoned to say he was actually on his way to my area for another job and could came to me straight afterwards. Which he did. The problem was quite a small one - unable to open a door from my utility room because the upper Security Roll ock was stuck in the locked position and the door could not be opened. Paul Paul dealt with it quite quickly. Paul's general manner is bright, efficient, polite, and friendly yet professional. His charge was reasonable in relation to the job in hand and his time spent. I would have no hesitation in calling AHL Locksmiths once more if the need arose.

Paul fixed the lock to a security gate which had jammed shut. Really pleasant and straightforward to deal with. He was in / out of my flat in 15 minutes with the problem resolved.

Not having used them for over a decade, we had misplaced all the keys to the two (SoldSecure Gold) D-locks that secured our bike shed, and it was also obvious that our ancient front door lock also needed attention. I found Paul through WTT. He promised to come round & sort them all out & quoted a fair price so we arranged a time a few days later. He rang on the day to confirm & to warn us that he’d been held up on the previous job and might be 30minutes late. He wasn’t, as it turned out, but it was reassuring to be forewarned. It took him about 30 seconds each to cut off the bike locks (😳) & he gave us some options for the front door lock. We took the cheapest and quickest, which was perfectly adequate, & took him about 30 mins. All expertly and neatly done. Absolutely no complaints. Top man, and nice with it. I’d be very happy to have him back.

Paul replaced two door locks for us, one of which was locked and broken, the other was an unusual and difficult size. His service was prompt and very efficient. He gave us clear quotations for the work, kept us informed about delivery and arrived punctually. Paul is a very friendly and helpful person who takes pride is his work. Paul was brilliant. My mother's door needed new locks and keys in an emergency and within less than 90 minutes Paul had driven across London to us. Not only did he replace the locks, he also fixed an issue with the door not closing easily. He also moved the second new mortice lock to a more secure position (all of this he did in addition to fixing the immediate issue without extra cost). He was also very thorough and tidied up after the work once he was finished. He is a really experienced trained locksmith and we would recommend him without hesitation.

Contacted Paul at AHL Locksmiths to get some maintenance on a rear double glazed door lock that did not feel right when it was being locked. Paul attended promptly at the time and date agreed, reviewed the state of the lock, and explained what needed to be done to repair it. We agreed, and then Paul got on and did the work. We now have a new, smoothly operating, more secure lock to our back door, which we are very happy with. Thank you Paul.

No matter how many keys you think you have for a very important (locked!) padlock there’ll be a day when you can’t find any of them. But Paul was able to open it in 15 seconds. No unfair call-out charge. Very fair price. And good advice on door locks. He’s been doing this for 40 years so knows more than a bit about it!

Paul fitted a new front door lock.He was knowledgeable friendly communicated well .He was able to arrive earlier than originally planned fortunately.All carried out at a reasonable cost.I would be very happy to recommend his services .What a breath of fresh air, if only all tradespeople were of this standard.

Paul of AHL Locksmith did such a fast and efficient job changing the lock on my front door that I asked him back to replace locks on patio windows and doors. He was friendly and his prices seemed reasonable.

I called AHL one afternoon when my front door lock failed. Paul arrived on time the next morning, and finished the replacement work quickly and efficiently.

We have a huge glass patio door that we couldn't open because the key had broken in the lock and the lock was stuck in the locked position. Several people came to assess what was required but none came up with a workable, cost effective, solution until Paul visited. He was able to open the old lock that was jammed, without causing any damage to the door. He brought with him a wide range of locks and identified a new one that would work - a discreet bolt on the door at floor level. We now can open this door to access our balcony and get a good cross breeze across our flat.

Paul not only fitted a new lock but also realigned the plates on the door frame: the locking mechanism on the door now operates very smoothly. He also gave some great advice on how to reduce wear and tear on locks. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul for his excellent service and skills.

Trouble with front door lock started late on a Friday evening. Called Paul on Saturday morning who arrived rapidly and dealt with the problem straight away. Excellent service carried out by a skilled and friendly fellow.

Paul made a big effort to help our elderly neighbour who had lost her front door and porch keys. He came quickly, fitted three locks and was friendly, professional and patient with her. He offered good value and replaced previous shoddy work as sadly the locksmith sector is not regulated! He even called later to suggest a retracting belt key ring for her future use. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending him, a very nice and experienced person.

We have used other Which Trusted Traders previously, and found them to be excellent. Paul was no exception. Our UPVC back door had several faults and Paul discussed these with me before starting. He arrived when he said he would arrive, did what he said he would do, and charged what he said he would charge. Very professional – neat and tidy too. When he had finished and tidied up, he gave us some useful advice on how to prevent problems in the future. We are delighted with his work.

High security Yale lock jammed in locked position. Arrived on time, opened the lock, fitted replacement, tidied up, explained throughout what needed doing and why and what it would cost, and how to maintain the new lock in good condition. All done to high standard. Local, long established business. Thought overall price was reasonable.

Paul came and replaced two locks on our front door, (including one that had been badly botched by a previous "locksmith") liberated a bike shackled to a wall due to the failure of a chain lock and gave great advice and service saving me a few quid into the bargain. Despite us being a bit off his usual turf he made the journey twice . He was professional, friendly, very knowledgable and had some great stories too. The job was completed with the minimum of mess and at a very reasonable price. I can't recommend him highly enough.
