Paul replaced two door locks for us, one of which was locked and broken, the other was an unusual and difficult size. His service was prompt and very efficient. Paul was brilliant. My mother's door needed new locks and keys in an emergency and within less than 90 minutes Paul had driven across London to us. Not only did he replace the locks, he also fixed an issue with the door not closing easily. He also moved the second new mortice lock to a more secure position (all of this he did in addition to fixing the immediate issue without extra cost). He was also very thorough and tidied up after the work once he was finished. He is a really experienced trained locksmith and we would recommend him without hesitation.

Contacted Paul at AHL Locksmiths to get some maintenance on a rear double glazed door lock that did not feel right when it was being locked. Paul attended promptly at the time and date agreed, reviewed the state of the lock, and explained what needed to be done to repair it. We agreed, and then Paul got on and did the work. We now have a new, smoothly operating, more secure lock to our back door, which we are very happy with. Thank you Paul.

No matter how many keys you think you have for a very important (locked!) padlock there’ll be a day when you can’t find any of them. But Paul was able to open it in 15 seconds. No unfair call-out charge. Very fair price. And good advice on door locks. He’s been doing this for 40 years so knows more than a bit about it!

We have a huge glass patio door that we couldn't open because the key had broken in the lock and the lock was stuck in the locked position. Several people came to assess what was required but none came up with a workable, cost effective, solution until Paul visited. He was able to open the old lock that was jammed, without causing any damage to the door. He brought with him a wide range of locks and identified a new one that would work - a discreet bolt on the door at floor level. We now can open this door to access our balcony and get a good cross breeze across our flat.

Paul made a big effort to help our elderly neighbour who had lost her front door and porch keys. He came quickly, fitted three locks and was friendly, professional and patient with her. He offered good value and replaced previous shoddy work as sadly the locksmith sector is not regulated! He even called later to suggest a retracting belt key ring for her future use. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending him, a very nice and experienced person.

We have used other Which Trusted Traders previously, and found them to be excellent. Paul was no exception. Our UPVC back door had several faults and Paul discussed these with me before starting. He arrived when he said he would arrive, did what he said he would do, and charged what he said he would charge. Very professional – neat and tidy too. When he had finished and tidied up, he gave us some useful advice on how to prevent problems in the future. We are delighted with his work.

We reached out to Paul a day before picking up the keys to our new property and he was able to accommodate us and come the next day to change the locks. We sent him photos of the existing locks via WhatsApp and within minutes he had provided a competitive quote explaining the difference in the types of locks we can get. He arrived promptly on time and completed the change of two locks within an hour! As a bonus, he gave us loads of advice and recommendation of how to secure our home which went beyond locks! Paul came and replaced two locks on our front door, (including one that had been badly botched by a previous "locksmith") liberated a bike shackled to a wall due to the failure of a chain lock and gave great advice and service saving me a few quid into the bargain. Despite us being a bit off his usual turf he made the journey twice . He was professional, friendly, very knowledgable and had some great stories too. The job was completed with the minimum of mess and at a very reasonable price. I can't recommend him highly enough.

When I rang Paul on his 0800 number he answered immediately and made an appointment for the same day. He diagnosed the problem with my UPVC door and repaired it promptly. This involved re-hanging the door and adjusting the frame fittings. My door now locks easily for the first time ever. Highly recommended.

I called this firm when I couldn't get out of my back door on Saturday morning. Paul Flanagan came within an hour. He drilled out the old lock and fitted a new one, explaining what he was doing. He also refitted another lock on the door. He gave me useful advice about my patio door too. On the way out he noticed that my front door lock was not really adequate, so I asked him to come back and install a better one. He talked me through my options and we made another appointment. He arrived on time and did a very good job again. My new lock now meets insurance standards. He also fitted a letter box guard. He was a neat worker and certainly knows his profession.

Spoke to Paul on the phone and made appointment. He was going to be late but phoned to apologise. He assessed our locks and made suggestion which we discussed with him.
