New Aira syatem for barn conversion
We approached Aira with the knowledege specialist companies serve a specific specialist service. Aira certainly met these credentials. We stumbled across Aira at an exhibition and found them to be informative and attentive to our considerations. Having sent our drawings for consideration and after many hours of discussion to educate oursleves and understand the parameters of the system, installation took place. We spent many hours considering tank locations and ASHP position. The time spent discussing with Aira and identifying bottlenecks in the design was certainly not wasted. The team arrived on site, Sheffield boys, shorts, Tea shirt, boots, I must admit our eyebrows raised. I can honestly say our visual concerns may have been a concern but unwarranted and totally misplaced. Visually questionable perhaps but professionally they were brilliant and competant individuals. Thanks to the time spent by all involved assessing ideal tank positions and pipe runs on site work commenced glitch free. The care and attention that was taken with regard to positioniong the pipework and carefully locating the tank was a pleasure to see. It was a work of art. For anyone considering Aira you will be in safe hands. Thank you Aira

Excellent work by excellent firm
In April I had a completely new Aira heat pump system installed in my house. Matt Whitbread was in charge and did most of the work himself. He did the whole job in just four days. He wad most helpful, polite and friendly all the time and explained everything as he went along. It was a pleasure to meet him and I highly recommend the Aira service and system to anyone thinking of getting a heat pump

Aira Air Source Heat Pump installation
Our gas boiler was not repairable & we had always planned to switch to an ASHP as the replacement. We have a 1904 semi which is unusual for having the cellar filled in. These are generally leaky air/heat wise, but we had recently had an airtightness score of 7 (usually 8-12 for this type of house) and done remedial work to improve on that. I checked several reviews and chose 3 reputable and Which recommended installers. One didn't reply. One were really knowledgeable and could work with our existing solar hot water system. Their system would only fit in one space in our tiny back garden which would have ruined how we use that space. Aira gave a solid reason for not linking with our solar hot water (15 years old and no guarantees). However they were more flexible with where the outside and inside units would be placed. We managed to keep the greenhouse & gained a large cupboard in the bathroom. They changed the heat pump to a lower model because of our projected air tightness score. They worked with me to still have some tall radiators. Aira's initial quoted price only ever comes down. The workers were quiet and respectful. They even changed around the work schedule to accommodate our brand new grandchild staying a night. The whole system is easy to use and just to forget about. We run it at an inside temp of 18.5C - costing a little less than the equivalent gas costs when it was at full working when the temp was low - our solar PV and battery helps here.

Aira ASHP
After following feedback on the Aira system we took the plunge in mid March 2025. Design proposals were drawn up and modified during subsequent discussions. Aira took care of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme documentation and all paperwork and designs were completed with six weeks and the installation date booked. On day one the installation team proposed a modified installation layout which after discussion we agreed. A team of three worked long and hard especially when installing a new hot water tank upstairs. Of particular note was the quality of the plumbing which was exception with secure, clean lines and insulation throughout. Following the installation I had one query about the direction of flow and within a few days a plumber was back simply to talk me through the system 'again'. The complete install was finished early at less than the price originally quoted. After twelve months of operation we are thoroughly satisfied with the decision we took to go with Aira.

Aira heat pump
Excellent service from start to finish. We’d had a couple of quotes and Aira proved to be very competitive despite offering a high quality product. Installation team were lovely, hard working and neat. Water tank and other bits inside took up a bit more space than expected. Install included adding and changing a few radiators, but they let us choose some beautiful vertical ones for dinning room that look great. We’ve had the heat pump since February and it works amazing well. Whole house remains cosy at all times, never gets too hot, as the system trickles gentle warmth all the time. Very efficient, and paired with a Cosy heat pump tariff, only takes electricity at off peak, cheap rate times. App works well and easy to set for extra hot water if needed. Would highly recommend getting a heat pump from Aira.

Aira ASHP system
Having already had quotes from several suppliers we found the whole process of ordering from Aira to be well managed, professional, easy to deal with and giving us high levels of confidence. The survey was thorough and detailed without generating the up to 70 pages of figures other suppliers provided. The team of installers lead by Richard turned up on time and worked hard. They went out of their way to fit in with our requirements and work around an issue with the design. When it came to commissioning the system it turned out there was a fault in the compressor. We were impressed that Ben (the project manager at Aira) was able to arrange a replacement heat pump to be delivered and installed the next day. The system has worked faultlessly since then. We only had to pay the £149 survey fee prior to installation. The one blip that has occurred was that the same day the invoice arrived we got a message from Aden implying we were delaying paying and that the payment must be paid the same day. We put this down to a mistake on their admin side as we had always had the funds available and paid as soon as the invoice arrived. We haven’t had much cold weather since installation but the system appears to work well and be simple to use. The hot water temperature has been excellent and exceeded our expectations. The Aira app is helpful but could give a little more information, e.g. the power used for water heating as separate from the whole system.

Aira air source heat pump timely installation.
Aira replaced our oil central heating with a 8 kw ASHP in March 2026 after providing a comprehensive survey to see if we could reduce our heating costs. The quote included upgrading only 3 radiators (I was expecting a lot more) and with the government grant of £7,500 made the decision easy. Work was completed by a very competent team in 4 days explaining everything to us in simple terms and leaving us hot water right up to when the unit was commissioned. The system is extremely efficient once it gets to know our needs giving us plenty of hot water and constant 20% C throughout the house Electric consumption has only increased slightly and the cost compared to our oil consumption for the same period the previous year is almost 30% down. With the increase in heating oil since March probably 60% down. Thank Aira for a job well done.

Great service and experience
Decided to upgrade our heating whilst carrying out other work in the house. Glad we went for a heat pump and glad we went with Aira. There was a slight premium over a standard heat pump but it was worth it for the warranty, look of the product and the app. The installers were nice to deal with, super tidy and did a great job. We were without heating and hot water overnight but the installation only took 2 days! No issues so far!

Excellent experience
It is just over three months since the Aira Heat Pump was fitted and commissioned. However, the whole process was not without its issues. This had nothing to do with the product, it had more to do with getting the environment ready for installation. For example, electrical supplies had to be upgraded. It involved roadworks that closed the road. This added three months to the lead time. Nevertheless, the installation and commissioning went without any hitches. The engineers were first class fitting new radiators with little upheaval and similarly the removal of the gas boiler. One problem appeared during week one, however, it was soon resolved and the system has worked very efficiently since. What needs to be understood by households taking on the air heat pump is that a complete rethink needs to take place. Unlike a central heating system where when switched on one expects relatively instant heat, the air pump works on background heat. However, the in built ‘smart tools’, work to insure an efficient and economical system. The app that controls the system provides all that is required to monitor the system. Nevertheless, the key to get the best out of the system is to switch it on and forget about it! It will tell you if there are any issues and it also reports the problem via the internet. I have no problem recommending Aira and their air pump!

Excellent workmanship has given a great result
We had an Aira 8kw heat pump installed in January '26. The work also entailed the replacement of 4 radiators and conversion of the plumbing to direct mains fed rather than the use of tanks in the loft. This meant quite a lot of reconfiguration to pipework as well as removal of the tanks from the loft. It also meant ensuring that the correct feed was taken off of the water softener. So more complicated than a lot of installations. The people we had on site were superb, nothing phased them when a challenge arose and the whole job from start to finish was very professional. Our bills are lower, the house has a much more comfortable level of heating which permeates the whole house, so no more hot or cold spots and no more blazing hot radiators. The change to direct mains pressure has cured all of our water pressure problems both on the cold and hot water systems. This meant we could also have a noisy shower pump removed. This has all been a huge benefit that we hadn't really thought of when we decided to get a heat pump. The external and internal units are quiet and the external unit looks much better than most heat pumps. We've had many favourable comments from visitors who thought it would really stand out on the front drive. It's been a great move to convert to heat pump, it's efficient, has smart features and gives a much more comfortable home environment. Aira design and build their own systems and use their own employees for installation. That's delivered for us.

Well designed heat pump and great service from Aira
Aira installed our heat pump in the first week of January. While we wouldn't choose the coldest week of the year to remove a gas boiler again we quickly warmed up and are very happy with our heat pump. As we have a long thin house we thought we may need 2 heat pumps but Aira's design provided a 12 Kw heat pump plus 4 replacement radiators. Professional service from Aira throughout with ongoing support. The heat pump and plant are very well designed, look great and are not heard by the neighbours although situated beside a boundary fence.

Heat Pump Installation
After a year of research we employed aira to design, supply and install a 6 KW heat pump. The design process was thorough, answering all my queries, and the installation was excellent. The team worked hard and tidily through the week, replacing all radiators as well, but keeping us warm each day in minus 9 conditions. We have had minor snags to address, but nothing fundamental. The system has performed well with a heating COP of 4.9-5.1 and hot water cop of 2.9-3.2. It is saving us money on gas and we are warmer consistently and plenty of hot water. The unit is smart and quiet in its operation. Overall really pleased with our decision and it performance. The only minor issue is now the hot water tank has moved it takes a long time for hot water to reach the kitchen sink, which wastes a bit of water.

Very professional
Everyone we came in contact with from Aira presented themselves well, were clear and professional and did what they said they would do. The initial contact and quote was followed by a survey which clearly confirmed the amount we would pay and how much government help we would receive. The installation date was agreed to suit us and in a timely fashion. The installation went to schedule, and the quality of the workmanship was first-class. The fitters were tidy, clean, respectful, and generally helpful. We hadn’t fully taken in the total amount of components and pipe work involved but solutions were found that work well for us. The explanation on completion told us how to control the system but we did find it took time to set the thermostat at a temperature that suited us - we were too hot! We found the app helpful and informative but complicated. The one or two queries we had subsequently have been responded to promptly and helpfully. We have no problem recommending Aira wholeheartedly.

Aira's installation of a heat pump
The pre-installation work was very straightforward. The salesman explained the processes, carried out a survey which committed Aira, so we knew how much we would be paying and how big would be the Govt. grant. Aira were totally flexible regarding the dates for installation. The actual installation took the time predicted, and the quality of the workmanship was first-class. The fitters were tidy, clean, respectful, and generally helpful. The explanation on completion told us all we needed to control the system. The one or two queries subsequently have been responded to promptly and helpfully. We would recommend Aira for straightforward installation work. However, some friends who were incorporating heat-pump installation along with other building work found that the two working procedures were incompatible, and had to abandon the heat pump.

Aira heat pump installation
After working with Aira to agree the most efficient design (& the price) and which radiators to replace they removed our old gas boiler & 7 old radiators and replaced them with an 8 kW Aira heat pump, 250 litre water store and new radiators. (Note - We live in an Edwardian terrace house with uninsulated solid brick walls and other companies were quoting us for 12 Kw heat pumps). After a slow start on day one the work proceeded well and was completed in 6 working days. Aira operatives were friendly and efficient and were receptive to our ideas as to the heat pump location and how best to hide pipework. They agreed to do all pipework for new radiators above the floor to minimise disruption. Since installation the system has worked flawlessly with generous amounts of hot water for our two bathroom house and has effortlessly kept us warm through the winter (we just set the thermostat in autumn to 21.5 degrees and haven’t touched it since. We have set it up to automatically cool down by 3 degrees every night). The heat pump efficiency is generally around 500% in summer and 400% over the winter (varies by month). We are yet to complete a full year but current estimates point to annual savings giving a payback of around 8-10 years depending on how energy prices change into the future. We are also saving massive amounts of CO2 which for us was the main aim. Based on our experience we have no hesitation in recommending Aira for a heat pump installation.

Works just fine and keeps house warm even in colder Scottish weather
The whole operation from the survey to the completion of the installation went smoothly. The company were very clear in their communication and the installation team explained each step to us. There was a very prompt response to an initial problem just after the installation. Since then the Air Source Heat pump has been working well, even in the coldest weather which can be -10degrees where we live. It also looks a lot better than some others we have seen.

Thorough job done
We had a heat pump, new radiators etc fitted at the end of last summer. Initially, after a phone call, their representative came who I felt was a little pushy to get a contract signed by us on that day. I spoke to a more senior chap the next day felt happy to sign. Work started quickly once we confirmed we didn't need planning permission. Two Scott's for most of the week, good at explaining each stage and went to a lot of trouble to keep all the equipment at one end of the attic so it could be covered with a built in cupboard in the future if needed. We were hoping the old oil boiler would be taken out whole to give away, but the additional team that came that day took it out in bits unfortunately, so it was useless. Considering all the workers and equipment in the house it wasn't too chaotic and they kept mess to a minimum. I've needed to contact Aira to adjust the settings their end on a couple of occasions,as it's not been a problem. They recommend their (I thought) partner company to do the solar/Battery. This company have gone under within months (covered by hies) however the electrician arrived in an Aira van and uniform! Aira are now fitting solar and if they'd done ours the two could work in unison on the app, which would have been helpful in terms of energy saving. I would recommend them

Ultra efficient engineers
We were very impressed that the engineers arrived at 8am every day and started work immediately. They were very tidy workers who explained everything to us - we were able to use the house as normal. When installation was complete, the engineer showed us how the system worked and how to set the system to our liking via the app. The technical team promptly answered our questions and gave us alternative sizing options. Had no issues so far, we have a nice warm house. Overall a very good company to deal with.

Clean and efficient
Started and finished on time. Work carried out efficiently and very thoughtful. The only complaint is a side panel to a new radiator was damaged and reported with no response. During the checks carried out at a later date the panel was again reported and the serviceman agreed that it should be replaced. To date nothing has happened in that respect.

Aira completed the survey and provided a quote on day1. They responded promptly to further enquiries and we agreed an installation date. The ASHP was installed and commissioned on time and efficiently by Aira engineers who were polite and professional throughout. They impressed us with the care they took to ensure we were able to operate normally in the house while the rads were upgraded and the system installed. The ASHP has operated well and minor problems have been responded to promptly. Agreed maintenance has been carried out as promised.

Superb product and fantastic service
Aira provided an extremely professional and top quality service all the way through the process from initial surveys right through to the completed installation and subsequent customer service. We set them an exacting challenge to replace the boiler and heat store, that was failing badly, with all the internal apparatus in exactly the same restricted space in the house with the connection to the new outdoor ASHP unit running through cupboard spaces. This they achieved with skill, expertise and a clever problem-solving approach. The ASHP system works really well with our underfloor heating and our house has never felt so comfortable to live in! The aftercare service has been great and any questions we’ve had have been addressed confidently and promptly. Brilliant outcome all round!

My system was fitted over a year ago. Customer Service was excellent. The engineers installed the system and several new radiators. They were efficient, quick, reliable and friendly. The work was carried out on schedule. During planning and fitting communication with Aira was great. There was a minor problem with one of the radiators, which we reported. This was rectified immediately. Since fitting, we have contacted Aira a couple of times. The Customer Service team is always responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. I don't have a moment's regret about engaging this company and having an air-source heat pump fitted.

Airia ASHP Fitted
12KW ASHP, we had a difficult installation, Stone cottage built pre 1861 and this involved the removal of the existing hot water tank and Oil Burner and install in different location with all pipes running through the roof which is low and limited space However they managed to install it, and on the Friday was given the choice to retain the old hot water tank for the weekend and they returned on the Monday to complete which went OK the pump was emitting a strange noise which has been remedied by Airia over thew winter we have been impressed with the heat from the radiators and the hot water, Overall very impressed with the installation team and the product, will defiantly be paying for the 10 year guarantee as this looks good value for money

I contacted AIRA in Feb/Mar 2025, was generally pleased with their proposal and price so proceeded to installation in April. The installation work was scheduled for four days, completed slightly early but at the stated price and very competently. Three chaps completed the work over the first two days, with the electrician not being required for the final two days. All of the AIRA contractors on site worked diligently and left the house in a very tidy manner, particularly bearing-in-mind that almost all of my radiators throughout the house needed to be upgraded/replaced. As we're now in March 2026, I can confirm that the system works well and I'm glad I made the investment in this green technology. I'm currently considering AIRA again for possible solar panels and/or battery storage as enhancements to my current system.

Installed a new AIRA Heat pump
Very impressed with the whole thing from the initial rep who came to the house and measured everything to the full installation. Have had the heat pump running for nearly 4 months through some very cold times and was warm and cosy throughout. The fan is almost noiseless unless it needs to work harder when the outside temperature was getting to zero C; even then, it was not heard by our neighbours.
