Hi, My name is Tony Byrne, I have been carrying out electrical work for over 15 years. I am a sole trader, so it would be just me carrying out any work. I am registered with the NICEIC and carry all the relevant insurances.
In 2013 i collected the Which?Local trader East award at an awards ceremony in London, which i nearly didnt go to, but luckily my daughter persuaded me.
I also carry out work for a local conservatory company and a swimming pool and hot tub centre, which i have done for the last 12 years.
I wish i could mention hobbies, but really do not get time for any, apart from being a spurs supporter, but please don't hold that against me.

I carry out all Electrical work including small jobs locally, like changing a light fitting, so dont be worried to ask for a small job to be done. Also repairs to light fittings.

Tony Byrne came to our home to review some electrical work we required and gave a very precise detailed estimate. In addition he investigated and sent us various options for light fittings. The work he carried out was to a very high standard and he was an excellent communicator as he proceeded with the work. We found him to be very flexible, rounded off with a very pleasant personality. Finally, he provided an excellent summary of the work that would be very useful in the future i.e. replacement bulbs etc.

Tony arrived promptly and located and solved problem with ring main (which a previous electrician had failed to do). Also went above and beyond by reconnecting our boiler controls from an unrelated issue so we didn’t need to get a plumber back. Very friendly and polite throughout and charged a very reasonable price. No hesitation in recommending him.

I found Tony using the Which? trusted traders scheme, having successfully used it before for a loft conversion and a major garden project. Having been messed around by another electrician, and without having any other contacts, I looked to Which? again. After texting Tony he came to quote for the job a couple of days later. I was reassured by the Which? reviews, but Tony seemed very genuine and took time to understand the work I needed (new circuit for AC, a socket move, connection of a CCTV camera and alarm box). The quote was very clear and specific, unlike another quote I received, which said something like 'do your AC circuit and socket £XX'! Tony was very upfront about how busy he is and we agreed a date a few weeks away. I was encouraged by that. Confirmed the date the week before and arrived as agreed. Very tidy and easy to have around. Also took time to chat and explain the work. Work was completed when agreed and per the quote. I hope to ask Tony to do more work in future and am pleased to recommend him to others.

Very happy to recommend Tony to my family and friends. I had an electrical fault where my fuse box was tripping out. After investigation Tony located the problem with one of the downlights and he also fixed a cupboard light and replaced a switch. He is a very friendly, efficient and someone with whom a lady living alone can feel completely safe. I will use him again.

This is the seventh time I have used Tony over the last 2 years, had to sell two houses that required new fuse boxes and certification along with various electrical additions at those and our new property, as always he is reliable and competitive on price. Have recommended them to friends who have also used him on more than one occasion. This time it was outside lights for a garage and power sockets for outside working.

Tony came to my new home as few weeks ago to assess a number of items which needed sorting out (mystery switches, defunct extractor fan etc). The work was carried out and completed this week to my complete satisfaction. He could not have been more helpful. He was prompt, very pleasant to have around, cleaned up after him and his charges were reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

Went over and above to help fix our problem
We thoroughly rate Tony's services and felt he went above and beyond to help us fix a frustrating problem. We had purchased a hot tub from Europe that came with a European plug and couldn't get it to work with just a plug adaptor. Tony spent 30 minutes on the phone with me to help me get to the bottom of the problem. He was incredibly patient and very honest. He didn't want to just cut the plug and fix a UK plug on for example in case we experienced problems and needed to sent it back. He had several helpful suggestions and sent me a link to an adaptor he thought might work. He also came out to give us a quote for installing a plug socket if the adaptor he sent didn't work. Fortunately for us, the adaptor did work, which we were delighted about. We felt Tony went above and beyond to help us and we are very grateful for his honesty and professional help. We have recommended Tony to our friends and family.
