About
Hi, My name is Tony Byrne, I have been carrying out electrical work for over 30 years. I am a sole trader, so it would be just me carrying out any work. I am registered with the NICEIC and carry all the relevant insurances.
In 2013 i collected the Which?Local trader East award at an awards ceremony in London, which i nearly didn't go to, but luckily my daughter persuaded me.
I wish i could mention hobbies, but really do not get time for any, apart from being a spurs supporter, but please don't hold that against me.
I carry out all Electrical work including small jobs locally, like changing a light fitting, so don't be worried to ask for a small job to be done. Also repairs to light fittings.

Tony has carried out work at our house on a number of occasions so we had no hesitation in asking him to quote for installing new spot lights in two rooms where the ceilings were being re plastered. Tony will always come to see what the work involves and gives thoughtful advice. He sets out his quotes so that you can clearly see what is being charged and the different options. Tony completed the work on schedule and cleared up afterwards ( as he always does) We are very pleased with Tony’s work and he is totally professional. He is polite, considerate and above all totally trustworthy.

This is first time I have used Tony, but it certainly wont be the last. Had two new sockets fitted, Tony did a great job, very tidy, and covered everything well though not needed as no mess at all. Very reasonable cost, and I cant recommend him highly enough. Will be booking Tony again in the future for any more electrical work that needs doing. So for everyone reading mine and other reviews, dont waste time looking around, just call Tony.

I have used Tony before, who has always given me 5-star service, both for quality and value. On this occasion, I asked for help and he was able to provide a cost-free solution which saved me £1,000. I had defrosted my fridge/ freezer, causing water to leak onto the plug, which perpetually tripped the bank electrical sockets. Unfortunately, my fridge/freezer is contained within a furniture unit, making the plug inaccessible. By talking to Tony over the phone, he very patiently narrowed down the problem and suggested that I simply wait for the plug to dry out, thus avoiding the need to replace a particular-sized unit with the complication of getting it fitted. Very grateful.

We’ve used Tony a couple of times now and he never disappoints. As well as being a super nice guy, he’s also reasonably priced, an effective communicator, always arrives on time and is always professional. The outside lights on our pergola had suddenly stopped working and Tony traced the issue to the internal electrics rather than with the cabling outside, and so saving us the cost of digging up bits of our garden and patio. We have used Tony on a number of occasions and as always he was brilliant. We have always found him thorough and efficient and friendly with it. We can't recommend him highly enough.

Tony updated the electrical sockets in our bedroom, introducing two new double sockets as well as replacing a very old ceiling light. We are absolutely delighted with the new LED remote control adjustable ceiling lamp which he recommended and installed. He mended a spotlight in our living room and replaced an electric shower pull cord in the bathroom. in the past we have had several issues with ageing ceiling spotlights which he has resolved and given advice on. He is always reliable and gives a clear idea of the estimated cost of any work, big or small, leaving everything clean and tidy. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Tony, he is an absolute star, and I am so glad we found him initially through Which? Trusted Traders!
