We highly recommend AJP Home Improvements! Our garage door opener failed. James came right away, did the work the next day. He inspected the frame and tracks and we were able to keep them, saving considerable cost. Others might want to upsell you with a new door but he said we just needed a motor. Fast, reliable, friendly service. Uses good quality components. What more could you ask?

AJP Home Improvement came to the rescue at very short notice when one of the hinged lifting struts failed on my garage door. Being a subscriber to Which I turned to them to provide a tradesman that I could trust, and with AJP, boy, did they come up trumps! I contacted James (the J in AJP) and we arranged a date for him to come and look at the job. James arrived on the agreed date, looked at the job and gave me a very acceptable quote there and then. I accepted the quote and to my surprise, James immediately got on with the job. He not only did a real quality job but explained everything he’d done and took all the old parts away with him. I am really impressed with AJP and highly recommend them.

Having had a look to find a local roller door installer we were pointed in AJP's direction , after leaving a message James contacted us and made an appointment, we explained our requirements and he made his recommendation after taking some measurements. We asked if he could do it in say a month or so and he said yes , a small deposit and a few days later the order was in , James rang a couple of weeks later and confirmed a fit date , in the meantime we arranged a suitable power source and had that done. James arrived around 9.30 and the whole installation was completed by 1 pm , neat and tidy , no issues at all . Roller shutter looks a treat. We can only recommend AJP.

Really great service, highly recommend. James came out quickly for a quote, had loads of advice to give since I wasn't sure what to get. I picked out a door, agreed on a date, paid a 10% deposit. James arrived on time on the agreed date and got the door installed - only problem was the door trim had been damaged during shipping. He was happy for me to delay paying until the job was complete, but I paid anyway since the door was in and working. He came back another day once a replacement trim had arrived to fit it, now it's all done and looks excellent.

Tony fitted my Loft Ladders needed to access my boiler. Called me back the next day and arranged a time and date to quote. Left me a competitive quote. Fitted me in to fit the ladder at short notice because of a cancellation. The whole process was completed within the week. Communication was first class and even rang to confirm the work was satisfactory. A new precedent was set for service, delivery and workmanship. If only all tradespeople were so reliable. I have loads of work to do on this house and I only hope they are not too busy to quote for more work. First class, Recommended.

James fitted a new Garage door on my prefabricated Garage which has made my Garage stable and saved the expense of a new Garage, it also looks a lot better than the old one and fitted a new Panel above the door as well, the work was expertly done and James and his nephew where very helpful from when James came to assess the problem, the price was very good and I would strongly recommend AJP for their work, also the after service is very good as well as I wanted a minor adjustment and he came to do it with no quibble as he said when it was fitted it may do when it started to bed in and I am 75 years old, thanks for a job well done

Our double door on the garage stopped working in the up position, A call to James at AJP promised the same day visit to investigate the problem. He arrived, just ad promised, diagnosed the problem and disconnected the motor so that the door could be raised and lowered manually. It was a relief to us to be able to lower the door at night and if we went out. The part arrived a couple of days later and was fitted straight away. We now have a working door. This was a great response from a local company that can be trusted. Thank you James

We contacted AJP initially as they were recommended by a local builder who has used their services on a number of occasions. They came out and covered the various options for our garage door. The installation of my new insulated roller garage door was completed within a few hours on the day that had previously been agreed (at quite short notice but convenient for myself). The work was carried out efficiently and all mess tidied up subsequently. As part of the cost the old door and fittings were removed. James went through the operation of the door along with the security and safety features. I must say that James did a great job of selling the door I'd just had installed. He genuinely appeared to be proud of both the work carried out and quality of the product itself. I have no hesitation in recommending AJP Home Improvement to other people.

AJP fitted a new garage door after old one was damaged, not usable or repairable. James offered good advice on options for a replacement and was not at all pushy or over bearing in what he recommended, listening to what I wanted/needed. Great price and efficient service. Fitted in a short time - from his first visit to ordering to fitting. Work done to a high standard. Took away old garage door and bits. All left very tidy. I'd have no hesitation in using AJP again, or to recommend his services to someone else.
