The entire process from quotation to the final installation of our porch door and windows was stress free. Thanks to Douglas for the excellent advice and quotation, and to Vinny and Tayler for the professional installation. They even filled the small gap beside the window with a side panel and cladding for free. I’ve no hesitation in recommending Alaskan Windows and shall be using their services again in the future.

My wife and I were massively impressed with Alaskan Windows' performance when they recently installed new windows in four of our rooms. Not only was Douglas the sales manager extremely clear in explaining the different options open to us, but Chris and his colleague did a fantastic job when they came and put the windows in, as well as being friendly and courteous throughout and leaving practically no mess at all. On top of all that, the company showed exceptional flexibility in agreeing to our last-minute request for a change in the order they'd planned to do the rooms in - even though this meant an extra, unforeseen delivery. We can't speak highly enough of this firm!

It was no brainer to again ask Alaskan Windows to supply and install a replacement window in our kitchen on the strength of the service and professionalism received when not long ago they replaced three first floor windows. Again, the same service and professionalism was present now as it was then from start to finish.

Alaskan fitted new double glazing in my house in 2014. Since then I've had them out twice to carry out minor works under the guarantee. On both occasions the team in the office who organised the visits were very efficient, helpful and friendly, and the fitters who attended (including Tony last week) were excellent, really quick and tidy workers. Would certainly use them again, and recommend them to others.

Excellent communication from the company throughout. Clear pricing and no hidden costs. Taylor and Vinny who fitted the windows were polite, careful and put the windows in really well with a high standard of finish - despite the difficulty presented by our 1930s old windows.

The surveyor who measured the windows in my opinion has an undersized height of the upstairs windows. It is normal to take 20mm off the brick size but he took 35mm off the brick size height. I am kicking myself that I did not check his measurements. By contrast, the windows installed by a different company at the front of the house are the correct size. Of the 2 installers, the younger one was very good and took care with his work using a reciprocating saw to cut out the old frame fixings rather than levering them out. The older fitter was rough and damaged 2 bricks when levering out the old frame in one of the windows. Also when fitting a new plastic window board he forced it in so that it has a 5mm dip in one of the corners. I intend to remove it and either refit it to buying a new one. There were 3 faults with the windows and a patio door which I drew to the attention of Alaskan Windows and they attended to them so I am satisfied in that respect. Their paperwork and the issue of the guarantee was efficient. However, overall I am disappointed. The company that I used to install windows and doors at the front of the house were far better in my opinion.

Thank you for your feedback I appreciate your comments and are glad you found the experience dealing with our administration and support team positive. In regards to the issues relating to your installation back in August 2020, I am obviously very disconcerted to learn of your overall disappointment. Having looked into this further, I hope you would agree the product ‘faults’ were resolved for you in a timely fashion given the challenges surrounding supply chains, manufacturing and the movement of people in the current environment. In terms of your general concerns over the fitting of the windows, I can assure you we take our duty of care when working in customer’s homes extremely seriously. I have directly spoken to the surveyor and installation team involved and although I would counter that the windows were measured accurately by our experienced surveyor given the specific parameters of each window, I would like to extend my genuine regret where you feel Alaskan Windows has failed, on this occasion, to meet your expectations and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Whilst we in no way claim to be perfect, we strongly believe that close to 2000 feedbacks on consumer feedback sites - with a vast majority of customers acclaiming the professional care taken by our installers - testifies to the enduring care and pride we take in every aspect of our installations.
