It has been a joy to do business with Alaskan. They took time to visit me to discuss what would best suit my needs. The whole process was conducted with minimum fuss and to fit in with my timescale of other work I was having done. Fitters were professional and efficient, and left everything clean and tidy. The window was fitted a few weeks ago and there have been no problems with it, despite some heavy wind and rain. Based on my own experience, I would thoroughly recommend Alaskan windows.

Alaskan Windows have competitive prices which initially attracted us to their product. We were met at the showroom by extremely professional and knowledgeable staff. They were able to match our current windows to their windows, and the price was very good. £600 less than a big competitor ! Alaskan Windows give you the fairest price right from the beginning of quoting. And as we already had other quotes from other companies at hand, we knew this to be true. They followed every step via email along the way until the windows were installed. Each staff member, surveyor and installers were exceptionally polite and knew their business well. They are a smart, modern, no fuss company, no pressure, no stress, no job big or small is a problem. We enjoyed working with them. We will definitely be using them again.

Alaskan Windows provided excellent customer service. They were courteous, professional and always on time. The quote was provided without pressure to sign. The contract and works specification were clear, the details checked before the items were manufactured and the snagging items were resolved swiftly. The stage payments were due on contract, prior to delivery, on completion. The final price paid was the same as that quoted on the very first visit. The double glazed tilting sash windows and multipoint locking doors look and function exactly as hoped. Even the after completion service has been excellent, with FENSA and company guarantees registered and supplied promptly.

This is the third time I have used Alaskan Windows and have always found them to be reliable courteous and to deliver a high standard of workmanship. I had bay windows installed by "Chris" who could not have been more helpful. I would not shop any where else.

I had a very good experience with Alaskan Windows Ltd. I have ordered secondary windows to reduce the noise from the road in my bedroom and living room. I am very satisfied with the quality of the product and installation. Chris who installed the secondary glazing also noticed that the primary windows (which were already there before) did not seal properly, so he added extra rubber sealing strips to stop the noise at this level. And the secondary windows he installed also reduced the noise a lot. My home is much quieter than before. So it was a very good job at a very reasonable price.

We had a quote for UPVC sash windows. Once ordered we got a very quick fitting date and the work went smoothly and the windows look fabulous. Great teamwork in this company from Micheal who did quote, to Tony who finite measured and Vinnie’s team who fitted in a tidy and good manner.

When we recently bought our flat we became aware of a rotting frame around our bathroom window. Alaskan came to give us a quote for the replacement. They were very reasonably priced, and the sales advisor who came to visit was very helpful and made sure we were well informed for what we were being quoted for. After deciding to go ahead with Alaskan, we were given a date for installation sooner than we expected. The installation itself was very efficient, the two installers arrived promptly and the quality of the window exceeded expectations. All in all I'd recommend Alaskan Windows and will be using them in the future if the need arises.

The team at Alaskan Windows were helpful and professional throughout the whole process. The consultation was quick and easy and I didn't have to wait too long for a fitting date either. The two window fitters were very friendly and kept any disturbances to a minimum while I was working from home. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything in a good state. The entire process from quotation to the final installation of our porch door and windows was stress free. My wife and I were massively impressed with Alaskan Windows' performance when they recently installed new windows in four of our rooms. Not only was Douglas the sales manager extremely clear in explaining the different options open to us, but Chris and his colleague did a fantastic job when they came and put the windows in, as well as being friendly and courteous throughout and leaving practically no mess at all. On top of all that, the company showed exceptional flexibility in agreeing to our last-minute request for a change in the order they'd planned to do the rooms in - even though this meant an extra, unforeseen delivery. It was no brainer to again ask Alaskan Windows to supply and install a replacement window in our kitchen on the strength of the service and professionalism received when not long ago they replaced three first floor windows. Again, the same service and professionalism was present now as it was then from start to finish.

Alaskan fitted new double glazing in my house in 2014. Since then I've had them out twice to carry out minor works under the guarantee. On both occasions the team in the office who organised the visits were very efficient, helpful and friendly, and the fitters who attended (including Tony last week) were excellent, really quick and tidy workers. Would certainly use them again, and recommend them to others.

The surveyor who measured the windows in my opinion has an undersized height of the upstairs windows. It is normal to take 20mm off the brick size but he took 35mm off the brick size height. I am kicking myself that I did not check his measurements. By contrast, the windows installed by a different company at the front of the house are the correct size. Of the 2 installers, the younger one was very good and took care with his work using a reciprocating saw to cut out the old frame fixings rather than levering them out. The older fitter was rough and damaged 2 bricks when levering out the old frame in one of the windows. Also when fitting a new plastic window board he forced it in so that it has a 5mm dip in one of the corners. I intend to remove it and either refit it to buying a new one. There were 3 faults with the windows and a patio door which I drew to the attention of Alaskan Windows and they attended to them so I am satisfied in that respect. Their paperwork and the issue of the guarantee was efficient. However, overall I am disappointed. The company that I used to install windows and doors at the front of the house were far better in my opinion.

Alaskan Windows removed some 20+ old existing windows of various types and sizes and replaced them all with their uPVC windows. The work was done to the agreed schedule and budget. I found them to be a very approachable, informative and responsive company that provided an excellent service throughout the process of initial survey and quote, acceptance, final survey and installation. The work was carried out as promised within a 3 day period by a friendly and competent team of four men. There were just a few minor adjustments and alignments we identified during the following 3/4 weeks which they assessed within 24 hours of our phone call and quickly rectified several days later.

Alaskan were a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating and professional. We had 4 windows installed (3 casements and one sash window) and all work was done to the agreed price. Our new loft and renovation happened over a few months which meant the team came on a few occasions to measure up and fit (as soon as a room was ready for the windows). The team are small and because of this it felt like a very personal service. Communications were good and they are not a pushy company and just give you what you want. Douglass is very helpful and easy to deal with. Connor and the team who installed our windows were professional, friendly and they came on time and worked efficiently when they were in the house. Would recommend highly!

I apologise for the delay in this review. I had my windows fitted by Alaskan in December and I am super happy with the job. Really friendly guys, they made a great effort to keep the place tidy and at a really competitive price. Unlike any of the other quotes I had, they came back to me with a quote based on the makers figures from the dimensions given. This gave me complete confidence that I was getting a fair price and it really was for the work that was done. I will be using them for the rest of my windows on the house. A special thanks to Brendan and Martin who fixed the windows for me.

I had UPVC window replacement in my loft, which was fine and of good quality. However, I also had an aluminium sliding door, installed in my kitchen which leaves me speechless. It has no handle on the outside. So you are trapped in the garden. This was not explained to me. Otherwise, I would have chosen a different design. So very mixed feelings about Alaskan windows to be honest. They have not offered to to do anything to rectify the sliding door problem which is Major in my opinion It looks ridiculous.

My front door lock developed a fault after being installed by Alaskan 6 years ago. They could not fix it and the manufacturer no longer made spare parts. Alaskan replaced the entire front door under the guarantee with a replica for no additional cost. Terry did an great job and left the place tidy. This is a fantastic company and after so many years still look after you and find a solution. Genuinely a trusted and reliable company you can count on! Do not hesitate to use this great company.

Having delayed on this project for some while, due partly to fears on the cost, process and pressurised selling, we would have jumped far more quickly had we known a firm such as Alaskan existed. From the moment we met Douglas in the showroom, we were put at ease. The process was explained simply, we were able to view product samples and our questions were answered comprehensively and in layman terms. This was repeated in a consistent way through the measuring, surveying and fitting processes. We liked the fact that the final measuring survey was carried out by the team leader of the fitting team, so the property and potential problems were known in advance. There were potential issues around how some windows would be fitted with regard to lead flashings, but these were addressed on the first window fitted and uniformly applied on all similar windows. The fitting team were great, and the team leader, Martin, very good at addressing and solving unforeseen issues, and also assiduous in seeking our feedback on the installation and anything, no matter how small, we were unhappy with - and then resolving them! They worked through the four July heatwave days, but still finished on schedule. Overall tidiness was very good, with some - but minor - collateral damage to internal/external decoration. Given the age of the building and the weather, this was unavoidable. We appreciated the lack of selling pressure, the no-nonsense pricing and the value for money.

We had a number of quotes for a new front door and all of the bigger names came with a really heavy handed and pushy sales approach. Alaskan were the complete opposite and didn't resort to any sales tricks. We had to move the installation date at short notice as we had a newborn, Alaskan swapped the date without any hassle at all. The installation was excellent, the guys came exactly on time, left no mess, and the quality of the work was exemplary. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially in comparison to some of the other quotes we had.

From start to finish, our experience with Alaskan Windows has been fantastic. Everyone we encountered was friendly, polite and punctual as well as being great at their jobs! We were first quoted for replacing double glazing about 18 months ago, but only booked the job very recently and Douglas honoured his original quote. Mike who came to survey and fit the windows was so punctual and friendly, as was Vinny who was also there to fit them. They went the extra mile to help us with some sealant work in another room and were so tidy after fitting the new windows. Can't fault the products themselves, but they made it very clear if we do encounter any problems within ten years, they will rectify them immediately. Nikki in the office has made the whole payment process quick and easy and is lovely over the phone! I would wholeheartedly recommend Alaskan Windows - we're seriously considering using them to replace our sash windows too.

I used this company for a second time, on this occasion to replace the rear windows of my home. They arrived promptly and worked non-stop in a clean, considerate and efficient manner. The finished product looks superb and is a vast improvement. The back of the house seems much quieter and warmer now! Found a couple of tiny gap around some of the window frames so called Alaskan to ask advice - I could easily fix them myself but without question they said they would sent some to come and fix them. AW installed secondary glazing for my box sash front windows, to schedule and on budget. The product uses acoustic glass and works very well to deaden noise from a busy road; the latch is simple to operate so that the front windows can be opened when required; and it's unobtrusive inside and out. They gave me a six week lead-in time and kept me informed by e-mail. The installers arrived on the day on time at 8 a.m. and completed the work in 90 minutes. Service was efficient and professional throughout from the first meeting with Doug the sales rep through to the installation. I didn't obtain alternative quotes but theirs seemed good value and matched my expectations. Overall it has been a smooth and stress-free experience and I would not hasten to recommend this excellent south-west London firm.

There was no hard sell in the beginning and the price was incredibly competitive. We moved to an Edwardian house, so wanted to work with a firm that had expertise in installing double glazing in older properties. I was impressed with Douglas on our first meet. It was also good to have the option to pop by the show room so as to visualise what the end result was like – staff there were equally as friendly as Douglas. Quality of workmanship was excellent. The team were able to install the new double glazed units without damaging existing timber architraves, which wasn’t easy. At the same time, where existing internal architraves had to be removed we opted for Edwardian-style white primed MDF over plastic – an option that we couldn’t get from others. Throughout, communication was excellent – from providing detailed emails advising on ideas to quickly responding to last minute changes. Douglas and his team is a very different animal to other players in the sector. Rather than high pressured tactics, this family run a firm that provide competitive prices and warm, polite and friendly advice. I’d have no hesitation recommending them. Months after we had the windows installed, I think one of our visitors had damaged one of the bedroom monkey tail handles (not entirely sure). We called up Alaskan for advice. Impressively they sent over the boss of the company and a colleague to take a look. They fixed the problem immediately without any fuss, bother and at no additional cost. Completely amazed.

Needing to replace an old ill functioning double glazed patio door we contacted 3 companies from Which trusted traders. Doug & Michael from Alaskan listened to what we wanted made valid and constructive comments and left us with a printed quote for our original requirement and their suggested alternative which included replacing an adjoining window. From the 3 quotes we chose their suggestion which we felt was well priced. Overall we were very impressed with the whole handling of our enquiry from beginning through quote and paperwork to the product and its installation. We also appreciated the admin documents and clarity from Nikki in the office and the always prompt replies we received. My experience with Alaskan Windows has been all positive. They reacted quickly to my quote request and provided me with a clear document. No pressure to decide quickly. The quote was very good value compared to others, so I decided to order five casement windows and one door with them. They were all installed on the same day with a big team of men. In the middle of the day I thought my house was never going to be the same again, but they managed to do the job in one (long) day and left the place spotless. Very happy with the windows and the installation.
