About

Albany Windows is a family business, small enough for Peter Knox and his son Nathan to have close involvement and tight control over very high installation standards and service, but big enough to obtain supplies directly from large high quality manufacturers of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors and conservatories.

Whatever your requirements, we have glazing options for every need and budget, and welcome all sizes of project from a single window to a large house full of windows and big conservatories. We also supply some local builders of high quality homes with their glazing requirements.

As well as being very proud to have been approved as a Which? Trusted Trader we are members of FENSA and Trustmark, so your investment in home improvements couldn't be in safer hands.

We obtained four quotations for a new back door and chose Albany who were quick to respond, with an uncomplicated sales pitch, a competitve price, a short lead time of 4 - 6 weeks and required no deposit. A follow up survey preceded the installation which took place within the estimated time, without fuss and the room/outside area was left clean and tidy. All the Albany personnel were polite and easy to deal with and we are very happy with the the overall quality of the finished job. Thank you Albany, certainly a company to recommend.

Install UPVC French doors and kitchen door. Estimate of time from order to delivery, one month. Yes, within a day or two. Notice of installation, short but acceptable. The company had installed a smart front door a few weeks earlier, which had gone without hitch. The doors appear well made with good security features. The installers were friendly and helpful. A couple of minor faults were dealt with very quickly by the companies trouble shooter. Overall, very happy.

I chose Albany over another company with very similar price quotes because Albany's suggested the lead time to fitting new double glazed patio doors and kitchen windows was about six weeks as opposed to sixteen weeks quoted by the other company. In the event, because of a cancellation Albany did the job in less than a fortnight. Albany staff were helpful throughout and I'm very happy with the finished product.

Having had our doors replaced earlier in the year we decided to have our windows replaced. As before the work was completed to a high standard and in a timely fashion. The fitters were polite, friendly and tidy workers. We would thoroughly recommend Albany Windows.

Whilst replacing the door, they encountered a challenging situation which was resolved, but took longer than had been expected. Nonetheless, the invoice for the installation was unchanged rather than asking us to pay for the extra time and materials to remedy, which was a pleasant surprise. Very happy with the door, although Covid issues restricted some of the colour choices that would have previously been available.

Albany Windows have just completed a full replacement conservatory to match the existing old hardwood conservatory. The end result is a great job that will make a huge difference and matches perfectly what was there before. The fitting teams and back office were both great at communicating, and the quality of the work is first rate. Very happy to recommend Albany Windows for this type of work.

Albany Windows did a good job when they first fitted our French doors, and provided excellent aftercare service when they came round to fix the hinge, which was knocked out of alignment when the wind blew the door open due to our carelessness. Very grateful for the engineer’s help and assistance. Great job.
