Alcon Electrical Installations has been established since 2008 and is jointly owned by business partners and brothers, Adam and Craig Ward.
With more than 25 years of combined electrical experience the company cover all aspects of electrical work including both commercial and domestic projects. We offer our clients a personal and bespoke service which will cater to their specific electrical needs.
Over the years we have built up a vast network of clients including domestic homeowners, landlords, property management companies, building contractors, care homes, logistical companies and various other types of commercial businesses. Most of our clients find us through word of mouth and recommendation and have provided us with several testimonials to vouch for our services.
We pride ourselves on our professional approach and our ability to provide a high quality installation and service.
Alcon’s electrical contractors are all City and Guilds qualified and the company is accredited with the NICEIC.

Advice on electric shower wiring
On contacting 3 electricians about melted insulation in a shower switch only Craig at Alcon replied. With the help of photos and clear advice from him we were able to diagnose the cause and I changed the switch myself without the need for a visit. The advice was given freely without charge.

Craig was most efficient and courteous and was a pleasure to deal with. We needed certain light switches replaced which had failed and a new security light and security camera installed. The quality of work was excellent and I can recommend Alcon and Craig highly. He will certainly be our trusted electrician in the future

I needed a check on the electrical system in my flat and also wanted two fluorescent tube lights in the kitchen to be replaced with similar LED lights. I found Craig very friendly and helpful and he came to do the work very promptly. He seemed to be very efficient and I am very pleased with the result.

We required our 50 year old house to be checked for electrical safety, to be rectified as necessary, updated, and made ready for an EV charger to be installed. Many internal and external light fittings were to be changed along with other tasks. Several days work was required, mainly by Craig but two days included brother Adam. Everything was done most professionally to the agreed schedule and budget. The brothers were polite, tidy, helpful, most constructive in their advice - every task was completed to a very high standard. I am most happy to strongly recommend them and to call on them again when required.

Alcon’s Craig did a terrific job outlining options for a revamp of sockets in our home office, explaining what each choice would mean for 1) cost and 2) impact on amount of work required. On the day, he outlined exactly what he would be doing, how long it would roughly take (v useful as it meant lack of broadband for a short while) and what I could expect from the final work in terms of trunking and aesthetics. The finished job was fantastic; exceptionally thorough, brilliantly professional and v tidy to boot - can’t recommend enough.

Craig was responsive to emails and quoted by email after I sent photos. Arrived on time, discussed the job, and installed new bathroom heater as agreed. Tidy trunking of wiring from outside the bathroom. Friendly, efficient and neat. Price slightly lower than email estimate so... all good!

My family has used Craig and Adam for several years for various domestic jobs (including electrical wiring testing; fitting new kitchen lights etc) and we have always been very impressed with them. They are highly professional - responsive, friendly, reliable and arrive promptly. They always do a lovely job and have great ideas and solutions too - thoughtful as to cost as well as what looks nice and works well practically. They work very efficiently and tidy up afterwards. They also clearly explain what they are doing and patiently answer any questions. Invoices match pre-agreed quotes.
