I needed a new garage roof which would be capable of allowing natural light into the garage. The inspection and provision of an estimate was provided by John Aldridge. John was meticulous in conducting a detailed survey and gave me excellent advice as to how the work should be undertaken. We agreed a time when the work would be scheduled knowing it would take two weeks. The work commenced on time and was completed on schedule at the price stated in the estimate. The team who undertook the work were first class. Everyone was polite, professional and the project was completed to a very high standard. I am extremely pleased with the new roof and would recommend Aldridge and Sons Roofing accordingly.

Having had a dreadful experience resulting in my taking legal action against another roofing company, I was naturally somewhat nervous when undertaking a complete re-roof. From the outset, John instilled confidence, explaining the process, quality of materials and provided the most detailed of all of the estimates. He also identified, unprompted, where other works had not been carried out to a good standard by the previous company, explaining the risk of not addressing these too. During the work, Sam and the whole team, including Shane and the team of scaffolders, could not have been more helpful. They are polite, courteous and hard-working and just generally a pleasure to have around. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Aldridge and Sons and in fact, have already done so.

When the soffit fell off the front of our house, we went back to Aldridge & Sons. We'd used them for a small unrelated roof patch in the past and had been impressed by their detailed quotes, communications, volunteering useful information (such as waste carrier licence), sticking to budget and the fact that they're NFRC members and have competent roofer membership. So we went back to them for the full reroof. They met our high expecations set by the previous work. In addition, John was able to answer my long list of questions and provide detailed explanations. The work took a couple of weeks longer than estimated due to rain, a bank holiday and additional out of scope work needed. The bay window roof structure needed replacing (not anticipated) and as that was out of scope that was an additional cost, but otherwise the work was completed well and on budget. The team who did the work were polite and tidy. They're not cheap, but we felt it was worth paying for quality for an important job.It looks so much better now and our neighbours have been admiring it.

We have used Aldridge & Sons twice this year for roofing works, the first time for a replacement flat roof in March and just recently for a repair to the main roof. We found them to be experienced and professional. They carried out the work to a high standard and with attention to detail. Aldridge and Son had excellent communication throughout. John visited our home and provided us with his extensive knowledge and competitive quote. Danielle the office manager was extremely prompt with her emails, and arranged for the works to be carried out at a time convenient to us. John called the week before the works were due to start to confirm the times/days for the works. The scaffolding was installed in just a couple of hours, and the roofers who carried out the works were very polite and were able to find and fix the leak. I would definitely recommend Aldridge and Sons and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future if we encounter any further roof issues.

Two young men arrived on a really hot day and worked immediately by removing the cast guttering which was leaking badly and replaced it with new black PVC They were very diligent and polite and finished with cleaning up very well. Thank you Mr Aldridge for a job well done.

Ours was a big job – which included replacing the flat roof and large rooflight, renovating the fascias and soffits, replacing guttering and even decorating some of the upper windows whilst the scaffolding was up. We were looking for a contractor who could do all of this and we found Aldridge & Sons. I’m so glad I decided on them, even though they were not the cheapest, they offer you the best price based on the quality of work. They give you a proper quote, use good quality materials and an insurance backed guarantee which gives you peace of mind should anything go wrong. It was a pleasure dealing with them from start to finish. John, Danielle, Sam and his team are very professional, friendly, courteous and easy to deal with. They really want to do a good job for you and are very accommodating. There were a few challenges owing to the erratic weather we have been having but Sam will reschedule work accordingly and ensure that everything is weatherproof before they leave you at the end of each day. They did a great job, on budget and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Competitive and detailed estimate given for roof tile replacement due to spray foam insulation. The guys worked hard removing spray foam from timbers as well as removing old roof tiles with spray foam adhered to them. They did a fantastic job and my house with its new roof now looks very smart. I had a front sloping tiled roof replaced. I was kept informed when job delayed because of storm, and the job went ahead continuously thereafter except slight delay whilst waiting for velux flashing. All men on site were cheerful, knowledgeable and competent. Scaffolding removed quickly and site left clear of rubbish. Aldridge were professional throughout and I am pleased with my choice. Theirs was not the cheapest estimate but it was very detailed and offered an insurance backed guarantee. I was nervous beforehand after a previous bad and expensive experience with another company, but Aldridge were entirely professional in every respect. A roof is a big outlay and I needed it to be a John Lewis experience.

We had water ingress at the back of our house and had previously employed a different company to fix it. However it still leaked and they would not return my calls. I was recommended Aldridge by a colleague with Which. He came and looked and could see the issues straight away. Work was completed in a professional manner and I was informed of an unavoidable delay.

My job was the flat roof on my mums garage and I would say Aldridge and Sons treat everyone professionally and with courtesy. The response to my request, the visit and the quote was received very quickly and work was carried out a few weeks later as they arranged. Our flat roof started to leak after some work was done on main tiled roof, and John came round to see if he could fix without replacing flat roof. He tried to, but when it didn't work quoted for replacement. He gave us options that would work for us both quality and cost wise. We had to wait a few months as he was fully booked up (which he made clear before we signed contract) and work was carried out at the beginning of this month (February). Everything went like clockwork: we were advised when the scaffolding would be erected and when the work would start, and once it did, we were delighted with the polite, professional and expert service we received. The young men worked very hard until the roof was finished, tidying up at the end of each day, and their courteous and respectful behaviour made them a joy to have around. We were shown photos of the roof on completion and when the foreman came to take his leave, as well as thanking me, asked me to say goodbye and thank you from him to my husband, who was out. It was the second time we had used Aldridge and sons (the first time was to fix faulty guttering) and we would highly recommend them - they really know their stuff and provide a quality service.

Called Aldridge to investigate roof leak possibly coming from around soil stack or boiler vent pipes. Aldridge came to my house within 24 hours and provided a written quote to seal the area around the pipes. The work was carried out promptly and professionally the following week.

I had a loft conversion over October 2019 - January 2020 but the company involved went into liquidation and so the work was not finished properly. The project manager was helpful in getting things done, and I hoped that it would prove adequate, but problems emerged (despite being passed by Building Control) and I needed find a trustworthy and competent company to assess what was needed and do the remedial work. The ‘presenting problem’ was a leaking gutter but I anticipated that there was more to it than that. John Aldridge came to look and identified the issues clearly and comprehensively and subsequently sent a prompt, detailed and clear specification of what they proposed - this included other work that I knew was needed (eg pointing the chimney stack) and the specification was immediately amended to include an item we had discussed but had been omitted from the first version. The work was delayed because of rain and the team had to contend with frequent heavy rain throughout the job but managed to keep the inside dry. Hats off also to the scaffolders who put up a safe and solid structure in the pouring rain. I had enormous confidence from the care and attention to detail given to the work and the speed with which a couple of small issues were resolved quickly at the end of the job. I had been provided with a recommendation for Aldridge & Co and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. I am so pleased to have a water-tight house again.

We had several leaks and our roofing felt had disintegrated. I asked for the whole pitched roof to be removed, fit new felt and battens and replace the tiles. Unfortunately the work started when the rains began so it was difficult to keep the house dry whilst still performing the task in hand. Everything was done with the utmost care and attention to detail, I stayed dry and the work still carried on. The finish is just what I asked for and I would recommend Aldridge to anyone, in fact I have recommended them to several friends. They are a very pleasant company to deal with, as are their workforce, who always arrived early no matter what the weather and tried their best to complete the job to the highest standards. The price was what I expected, and was competitive as I had 3 other quotes when I was looking for a roofing company.

Aldridge and Sons Replaced a leaking flat roof. They did everything they said they would when they said they would. The scaffolding went up on time, The roofers turned up when they said they would and started working straight away, they worked hard were polite, friendly, considerate and very professional, they kept me informed of what they were doing, the progress they were making and what they were going to do next. We had been experiencing minor leaks in the roof over some years but, following inspections, it became obvious that little could be done to sort this niggly problem other than patch repairs again. So we decided to have a complete new roof as well as two new flat roofs. John Aldridge came round and talked us through what his company could do, materials, timescale, training for his staff etc. His detailed written quote was first class and detailed exactly what would be done, materials used at each stage and a full breakdown. We thought the price was very good considering all the work involved. As winter was starting, we asked that the work did not start until March, which they were happy with and the price did not increase because of this delay. We cannot fault the workmanship. Scaffolding, skip and portaloo arrived, then work started on time. The roof was stripped in sections and waterproofed prior to re-tiling. At the end of each day, they tidied up and swept which made life much easier for us. They even swept up and cleaned as much as possible in the loft which was really helpful. We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Extremely professional and always kept us in the loop of what was happening. We are very delighted with the finished work.

I had a leaking roof mainly due to the ineptitude of a previous building company that used the wrong mortar. Aldridge's rectified the problem. They provided a detailed comprehensive breakdown of the task and lots of other useful information. The team were extremely efficient they arrived early and worked hard throughout the day. The team was extremely polite and made few demands. At the end of the day the site was always tidied, swept and equipment stored safely. Unfortunately at the end of the project, the weather was against them but came on Saturday to complete the work. I am very pleased with the standard of workmanship and feel confident about their work. I would recommend them highly.

In January 2023, I had a new house roof, gutters and downpipes, from Aldridge and Sons. They typed up a detailed list of work they were going to do. I only had to wait about 2 months, for the work to begin. (That's a good sign. If a roofer says they can start tomorrow, that's a bad sign.) I've been waiting 2 months to write this review as there has been almost no heavy rain since then. The roof looks strong and is well done. The gutters and downpipes are not leaking. (The back gutter had leaked for at least 20 years and a string of cowboys from other companies failed to fix it.) The back wall was mouldy under the leaking gutter. It's now drying out and I'll be able to get it painted in the summer. The men from Aldridge and Sons did the whole thing in less than a week, in very cold weather. They arrived every day at about 8.00 a.m. and started work straightaway. They worked quietly, without shouting or playing music like other workers do. This kept the neighbours happy. They worked until about 3.00 p.m. As it was winter it was getting dark by then so they had to stop. They left the site tidy at the end of each day. Getting a new roof is a big undertaking. I'm confident I chose the right company for the job.

Aldridge & Son (A&S) carried out a couple of jobs for me. The first job was in June 2021 - replacement of flat roofing including renewing gutters. The second job in December 2022 - roof cleaning -i.e., moss removal. Both jobs were completed to my expectation in terms of satisfaction with custom service, quality of work, completion to schedule and to agreed price.

we used Aldridge in the past for a complete replacement of the roof on our kitchen extension so it was a no-brainer to use them to replace some guttering that was not working properly.
