Aldridge & Sons are a company that we have used several times before for roofing and similar work. When I asked John Aldridge to recommend a company to undertake the re-pointing I was delighted to learn that Aldridge Sons could do this for us. From estimate to completion of the work, the team worked carefully and were very thorough. The team leader was happy to answer any questions I had as work progressed. The site was always cleaned at the end of the day, and on completion everything was cleaned thoroughly. There were no hidden or additional costs. We have recommended Aldridge and Sons to friends and family who have similarly been impressed with the service and aftercare of this company. We shall continue to recommend them and would use the again, should the need arise.

To repair the Garden Room roof at the back of the house (approx 5m wide and 3m deep) by removing and replacing the lead flashing, and also removing and replacing a number of coping stones. This was done very professionally with good quality materials and workmanship, and to a high standard (as far as I could tell). Delays were caused by the inclement weather, but they didn't want to leave the roof in a state where it might leak if/when it rained. They were safety conscious, in that they supplied supporting struts under the roof so they could work over it. They tidied up after each day and left the site clean and tidy when they had finished. I am very pleased with the work done.

Manager arrived promptly to assess the work and clearly explained the problem with the edge roof tiles being incorrectly fitted which resulted in pieces of concrete occasionally falling. Work involved scaffolding being erected and verge tiles and under-cloaks being removed and new tiles and under-cloaks being bedded in with cement. Job carefully and professionally completed with all rubbish removed. Very pleased with work and would recommend trader.

I recently used John Aldridge's company for three jobs. A loft extension flat roof replacement, rehanging vertical slates on the extension to prevent wind rattle, and replacement off a long cast iron gutter. Employing the wrong company for roofing work can be pretty disastrous and I'm pleased to say that Aldridges were the right company. John's assessment of the work was thorough as was his estimate and all the subsequent paperwork. The work started on time and had to cope with extremes of weather, from a week of extreme heat to a week of intermittent torrential rain. John employs a permanent workforce and everyone working on site arrived promptly each morning, and they were all very friendly and polite. The site was left tidy every night and completely clear of all waste materials at the end of the job. During the course of the work they decided that some timber sheeting didn't need replacing and the final invoice was reduced to reflect this. Apart from good reviews over a long period of time, one of the other reasons I chose John's company for the job was their membership of the NFRC, the roofing trade association. I'm very happy to be able to recommend Aldridges on this website.

Recently a problem had arisen where a had appeared between the edge of my roof and the guttering, resulting in rainwater cascading down my windows and brickwork. I contacted Aldridge & Sons as they are a local company with a very good reputation. Mr. Aldridge arranged an onsite inspection within 24 hours and recommended installation of eaves trays. He explained the work in a clear, friendly and reassuring manner. An estimate was provided by Aldridge's office manager within 24 hours. The work was clearly described and the pricing was very fair. Mr. Aldridge was very responsive and flexible in arranging the work, which was scheduled and completed within one week. The two roofing specialists who carried out the work arrived on time, were very friendly and helpful and completed the work very professionally, carefully and cleanly. The follow-up from Aldridge's office manager was also prompt and professional. The whole process was professional and trouble-free. I would highly recommend Aldridge & Sons and would definitely use their services again.

A thoroughly professional, efficient and friendly service. Capping long runs of fascias including three barge boards was a tricky job, undertaken good humoured in difficult weather conditions. John Aldridge, his son and the whole team were excellent. They repaired a challenging roof, which without their experience would have been either impossible or ineffective. I was kept informed at every stage, the team always arrived on time, were polite, tidied at the end of each day and the right skill mix and materials. sent each visit to deal with what was required that day. They all have obvious pride in their work and I felt informed and valued as a customer. I will have a ten year guarantee and the necessary documentation for when sell the property.

Following a storm in Feb 2022 I needed urgent repair to the front verge of my house roof. Aldridge and Sons are a local Sunbury company and were able to respond promptly, inspecting the damage the next morning and making the roof safe that day. Their quote for the repair followed quickly and after a bit of a wait for scaffolders the roof was repaired very neatly and professionally. My insurance assessor approved payment for the work without difficulty, commenting that it looked good quality work and the pricing matched his metrics.

Following recent storm damage, I was looking for a reliable roofing company to give me an estimate for the repair work required. I choose a local company called Aldridge and Sons from Sunbury and I’m so happy I did. John came round gave me a detailed quote explaining in great detail what work was needed which I accepted. They arranged for scaffolding to go up which was completed very quickly and the following day a team from Aldridge and Sons completed the repairs to my roof. They were extremely professional, friendly and did a fabulous job. They showed me pictures of before and after they had completed the repairs and the workmanship was first class. They also cleaned up after they had finished which was great. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roof work.

My flat roof was extremely badly repaired by an incompetent roofer and needed doing again. The pitched roof was in need of repair as well. I got several estimates and Aldridge's was by far the best one at a sensible price. The best thing about the estimate was that it was presented as a check-list so it was possible to see exactly what was to be done and tick it off when it was done. The Aldridge chaps came every day at the same time and worked hard stopping only for lunch breaks. They were helpful, good at explaining what they were doing and showed me photos and videos of their work and progress. They drank lots of tea! I can't recommend them highly enough. I would also like to mention Merton Scaffolders, used by Aldridge and Sons. They erected scaffolding over a large conservatory where the possibility of doing a lot of damage was huge. These were another bunch of chaps who were skilled, good at explaining and so good at their work.

I found Aldridge and Sons via the National Federation of Roofers website. John Aldridge came to examine the roof, gave me a very detailed description of what would be needed and the quote arrived in a timely manner. The scaffolding was erected very efficiently. John's team then arrived to carry out the work. The team leader kept me informed each day of exactly what was being done, often showing me photographs, as the roof was partially hidden by the scaffolding. When they left the site each day everything was tidied away and the paving in the front garden and the patio at the back were swept clean of any debris. They always turned up on time and were a pleasure to have working on-site. The work involved new insulation, roofing felt, batons, tiles, soffits and guttering. I am delighted with the result.

This is the second time we have engaged Aldridge and Sons Ltd and once again we were delighted with the high standard of workmanship, the friendliness of the team and their overall professionalism. John Aldridge inspected the site, made a verbal recommendation and followed up promptly with a clear written quotation. The job was to solve a problem where over the years the fascia board to the rear of our property had gradually dropped so that we were unable to open two of our windows properly. The work done entailed carefully lifting the bottom row of roof tiles, removing the original wooden fascia and defective UPVC fascia and installing modern white fascia board, replacing guttering and eaves trays, carefully reinstating the bottom row of roof tiles and ensuring alignment to allow our windows to open properly. Scaffolding was put up to allow the roofing team to work freely and safely. Luke and Franga did the job with no fuss, showing care and respect for our property and taking care to clean up thoroughly afterwards. I would have no hesitation in recommending Aldridge and Sons Limited.

Painting two layers of aluminium paint on flat roof are. Having used the company previously to replace my flat roof I was well aware of their high standard of professionalism. This was maintained. The job was completed on schedule at agreed price.

we used Aldridge in the past for a complete replacement of the roof on our kitchen extension so it was a no-brainer to use them to replace some guttering that was not working properly. Workers arrived on the promised time and carried out the work efficiently and tidily with no problem whatsoever. Very polite and respectful and we have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Aldridge & Son (A&S) carried out a couple of jobs for me. The first job was in June 2021 - replacement of flat roofing including renewing gutters. The second job in December 2022 - roof cleaning -i.e., moss removal. In January 2023, I had a new house roof, gutters and downpipes, from Aldridge and Sons. They typed up a detailed list of work they were going to do. I only had to wait about 2 months, for the work to begin. (That's a good sign. If a roofer says they can start tomorrow, that's a bad sign.) I've been waiting 2 months to write this review as there has been almost no heavy rain since then. The roof looks strong and is well done. The gutters and downpipes are not leaking. (The back gutter had leaked for at least 20 years and a string of cowboys from other companies failed to fix it.) The back wall was mouldy under the leaking gutter. It's now drying out and I'll be able to get it painted in the summer. The men from Aldridge and Sons did the whole thing in less than a week, in very cold weather. They arrived every day at about 8.00 a.m. and started work straightaway. They worked quietly, without shouting or playing music like other workers do. This kept the neighbours happy. They worked until about 3.00 p.m. As it was winter it was getting dark by then so they had to stop. They left the site tidy at the end of each day. Getting a new roof is a big undertaking. I'm confident I chose the right company for the job.

I had a leaking roof mainly due to the ineptitude of a previous building company that used the wrong mortar. Aldridge's rectified the problem. They provided a detailed comprehensive breakdown of the task and lots of other useful information. The team were extremely efficient they arrived early and worked hard throughout the day. The team was extremely polite and made few demands. At the end of the day the site was always tidied, swept and equipment stored safely. Unfortunately at the end of the project, the weather was against them but came on Saturday to complete the work. I am very pleased with the standard of workmanship and feel confident about their work. I would recommend them highly.

We had been experiencing minor leaks in the roof over some years but, following inspections, it became obvious that little could be done to sort this niggly problem other than patch repairs again. So we decided to have a complete new roof as well as two new flat roofs. John Aldridge came round and talked us through what his company could do, materials, timescale, training for his staff etc. His detailed written quote was first class and detailed exactly what would be done, materials used at each stage and a full breakdown. We thought the price was very good considering all the work involved. As winter was starting, we asked that the work did not start until March, which they were happy with and the price did not increase because of this delay. We cannot fault the workmanship. Scaffolding, skip and portaloo arrived, then work started on time. The roof was stripped in sections and waterproofed prior to re-tiling. At the end of each day, they tidied up and swept which made life much easier for us. They even swept up and cleaned as much as possible in the loft which was really helpful. We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Extremely professional and always kept us in the loop of what was happening. We are very delighted with the finished work.
