Delighted with my new roof and loft insulation work. Aldridge & Sons are a family business and experts in all roofing work. Family member and a friend had used before. John the owner is do knowledgeable and made sure to explain everything in detail before and throughout when needed. My team led by Sam and Harry were extremely efficient and skilled, as were the whole team. They completed the work in just over a week as I also wanted the porch roof done last minute which they organised and also completed. Absolutely amazing. The guys were all so polite and lovely and so professional. They also went over and above with a couple of bits for me that they didn't have to do, as im not d.i.y savvy! The guys at Aldridges put a new rood on our Victorian house. They did an excellent job and retained the character of the original. Jack did a great job on the tiles, Danielle on the admin, Lee on the painting and Sam in making sure everything came together. Our flat roof was leaking in several places and we decided to have it replaced. The team were professional from the start, the initial survey, scaffold delivery, work itself and follow up. The work was done on schedule as promised and scaffolding removed soon after work completed. The team worked hard, were pleasant to deal with and explained what they would be doing. They took photos before starting and during work and on completion so we could see what had been done. They also cleared a gutter that had been overflowing and added a shoe to the bottom of one downpipe. A follow up check was done and one minor issue corrected immediately. The cost was as quoted. Would recommend them.

Based on our previous experience of work by Alderidge and Sons, we had no hesitation in asking for a survey for work on our mid terrace roof. John the owner provided an in depth assessment of the work to be carried out, along with a time line, procedures etc. From start to finish a resounding first rate professional service. Interaction with members of the work force was first rate. They were very, informative and outlined each stage of construction coupled with minimal household disruption. At the completion of the work, debris etc was removed and the area was cleaned to its previous condition. All in all, a high standard of work was carried out and we would thoroughly recommend Alderidge and Sons.

John had already established trust with us when we sought his advice previously on a suspected leak and he said we didn’t need any work - he was right and not the company that quoted us over £10k for an unnecessary job. When we did find a leak on our kitchen extension green roof we therefore had no hesitation in calling John for advice. He talked through the issues with the poor quality original installation (by a general building firm) and provided a detailed quote. The work was completed yesterday and was very efficient and thorough. I feel confident in the quality of the work and getting the right advice. Having dealt with a number of roofers over the years, I now wouldn’t go anywhere else. Once the top layers had been taken off the condition of the boards underneath was worse than expected, vindicating the decision to go ahead with the work, but it did mean an additional cost on top of the estimate. The team were very professional and courteous, helpful and kind. The office is businesslike and well organised. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for a thorough, quality job at a fair price.

Our flat roofs were originally built some 45 years ago and have had running repairs regularly. We asked for advice from Aldridge and decided to bite the bullet and have both redone to current spec - a costly job, but we don’t regret the decision at all. The Aldridge team were polite, efficient and turned up when they said they would. We would happily use them again.

Our gutters needed replacing as previous owners went for the cheap option, so different parts and not enough support meant leaks became inevitable. John suggested how to remedy the problem and gave us a detailed quote. The lads who came were extremely pleasant and polite, and did the work quietly (no loud radios!) and efficiently. An unexpected bonus was a visit from a colleague while the work was going on, and again afterwards to check we were happy. All most impressive and an excellent experience.

I needed a new garage roof which would be capable of allowing natural light into the garage. The inspection and provision of an estimate was provided by John Aldridge. John was meticulous in conducting a detailed survey and gave me excellent advice as to how the work should be undertaken. Having had a dreadful experience resulting in my taking legal action against another roofing company, I was naturally somewhat nervous when undertaking a complete re-roof. From the outset, John instilled confidence, explaining the process, quality of materials and provided the most detailed of all of the estimates. He also identified, unprompted, where other works had not been carried out to a good standard by the previous company, explaining the risk of not addressing these too. During the work, Sam and the whole team, including Shane and the team of scaffolders, could not have been more helpful. When the soffit fell off the front of our house, we went back to Aldridge & Sons. We'd used them for a small unrelated roof patch in the past and had been impressed by their detailed quotes, communications, volunteering useful information (such as waste carrier licence), sticking to budget and the fact that they're NFRC members and have competent roofer membership. So we went back to them for the full reroof. They met our high expecations set by the previous work. In addition, John was able to answer my long list of questions and provide detailed explanations. The work took a couple of weeks longer than estimated due to rain, a bank holiday and additional out of scope work needed. The bay window roof structure needed replacing (not anticipated) and as that was out of scope that was an additional cost, but otherwise the work was completed well and on budget. The team who did the work were polite and tidy. They're not cheap, but we felt it was worth paying for quality for an important job.It looks so much better now and our neighbours have been admiring it.

We have used Aldridge & Sons twice this year for roofing works, the first time for a replacement flat roof in March and just recently for a repair to the main roof. Aldridge and Son had excellent communication throughout. John visited our home and provided us with his extensive knowledge and competitive quote. Danielle the office manager was extremely prompt with her emails, and arranged for the works to be carried out at a time convenient to us. John called the week before the works were due to start to confirm the times/days for the works. Two young men arrived on a really hot day and worked immediately by removing the cast guttering which was leaking badly and replaced it with new black PVC They were very diligent and polite and finished with cleaning up very well. Thank you Mr Aldridge for a job well done.

Ours was a big job – which included replacing the flat roof and large rooflight, renovating the fascias and soffits, replacing guttering and even decorating some of the upper windows whilst the scaffolding was up. We were looking for a contractor who could do all of this and we found Aldridge & Sons. There were a few challenges owing to the erratic weather we have been having but Sam will reschedule work accordingly and ensure that everything is weatherproof before they leave you at the end of each day. Competitive and detailed estimate given for roof tile replacement due to spray foam insulation. The guys worked hard removing spray foam from timbers as well as removing old roof tiles with spray foam adhered to them. They did a fantastic job and my house with its new roof now looks very smart. I had a front sloping tiled roof replaced. I was kept informed when job delayed because of storm, and the job went ahead continuously thereafter except slight delay whilst waiting for velux flashing. All men on site were cheerful, knowledgeable and competent. Scaffolding removed quickly and site left clear of rubbish. Aldridge were professional throughout and I am pleased with my choice.
