I asked Alex to replace all the windows in my house, a big job. From the start, Alex was professional, thorough and knowledgeable. During the time from placing the order and the arrival of the windows for fitting, Alex kept me informed of the progress at the factory, delivery day and what I should expect once he and his team came on site. His customer service ethic is outstanding. The job was completed on time. On the last day, Alex and Gary tidied up everything and took away the old windows and frames, leaving me with the new windows in a tidy home. I’m delighted with the new fitted windows - they look even better than I expected!

This is the second time I have used Alex and his team because I had such a good experience the first time when they replaced my large kitchen window and back door. They have now replaced every window in my house and I am absolutely delighted with the results. A stone, catapulted from the lawn mower, completely smashed the fixed window of our patio door. We obtained a few quotations from local companies, including the firm which initially had installed the patio door, which turned out to be the most expensive. The quote from Alex Dobson Windows and Doors Ltd seemed reasonable and we are pleased to have chosen this firm. Mr Dobson arrived on time and carried out the job quickly and professionally. He also attended to some other windows which required re-balancing. Again he remediated the problem competently. Overall, he carried out all the jobs to our complete satisfaction and we are very happy with the service we received. We certainly would use this company again and can highly recommend it.

We asked Alex to replace a square bay window, hallway window and front door. From our initial meeting, he was friendly, helpful and flexible. We already had our sights set on a particular brand of window and Alex was able to accommodate. For the door, Alex made recommendations and clearly explained the pros / cons of each option. Once we had made a decision, Alex and James were able to start work much quicker than I had expected. They were friendly, tidy and completed the work to an exceptionally high standard. What really struck me was the attention to detail; spotting and rectifying any imperfections without needing to be asked. I can be quite particular, so this was something I valued immensely. If I spotted something, Alex never made me feel like I was being picky or unreasonable (as I have felt with some tradespeople!) and was quick to offer solutions. Other little things, like the use of 4 or 5 different kinds of sealant to ensure the best finish, discreet plastic trim (instead of the large trims some fitters use), the care taken to get perfect mitres on the window board, to name just a few, speak volumes of the pride that Alex and James take in their work. Since having the windows and door fitted, they have been admired by many visitors; one was so stunned by the quality of workmanship that they started to doubt their own choice of fitter! I look forward to inviting Alex & James back to replace the other windows. I would unreservedly recommend AD Windows & Doors.

I had a unit of windows and French doors replaced. Good start as there are no pushy salesman to deal with. When quoting Mr Dobson made practical and sensible suggestions about how to deal with the tumble dryer vent and sink drain and changing the layout of the unit from the original. He was clear about when the work could be done and gave me ample notice of his starting date. Quote was a good price. He and his colleague turned up on time; they were quick and tidy workers; paid attention to detail; and cleared up well when they'd finished. The unit itself is well made and solid. I cannot recommend the firm highly enough - a pleasure to do business with.

The team turned up on time (early actually) and delivered high quality work putting in two doors in a morning. They tidied up all the mess and ensured I was happy with the quality of the work before they left. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Installation of a new three-pane leaded light window. The workmen were very polite, and cleared up after the work was finished. Very pleased. This is the second time we have used this company.

I had all my windows & patio door replaced. Alex and his team arrived on time for the 3 days it took to complete the job. They were quick in installing but very tidy, clean and respectful of the property. At the end of the day (after they left) one would not know that I had windows replaced. I highly recommend them.

It would be nice if all projects went as well as this one. Alex and his team arrived the day they said they would, at the time they arranged. They were carful in protecting areas around their workspace and cleared all rubbish as they went along. The fitting of the doors is superb and every thing was clean and tidy on completion. Alex provided and installed a complete house replacement of all our windows and doors. The work was outstanding. Communication from the start was always prompt and very helpful. Excellent service provided by Alan and his team. We needed quick turnaround for a new slide door. Alan was speedy, professional and highly efficient throughout. I have not used the company before but all previous reviews were very good . We had 2 windows replaced and a front window converted to a bay window.
