Allen and Young Removals

I can not recommend Kelvin and his team highly enough. They were absolutely fantastic in helping us on our big move from London to the Kent coast. They were very patient and kind in packing up our lovely old house. The personal attention we received was so re-assuring in what we all know is a very stressful time when moving. They were just excellent.

Kelvin, and his team really set our house move off to a good start. They took the dishevelled state of our home in good spirits as we dismantled 16 years of family life. The only comments they ever made were compliments/ at both our old and our new house. They packed our fragile and electric items fantastically well and labelled everything clearly enough that we have had no trouble unpacking. And they cheerfully put up with the many boxes we had packed far less expertly. Kelvin did his best to keep the costs reasonable. It was a very long day and not one of the team complained or slacked. Our friends commented on how hard they were working right up to the end- traipsing up and down three flights of stairs and reassembling furniture, fitting washing machines and congratulating us on our move . All the reviews ring true! Thank you Kelvin, Andy, Paul and the rest of the team - we don't know all your names but we remember the chats about cats and the conversation about fitting the washing machine

Really appreciated Allen and Young's service from start to finish. A very reasonable quote with (unlike some removal companies) no hidden costs; friendly and helpful staff, all done in good time and with appropriate care - no breakages or other damage. Would definitely use them again.

It's hard to choose a removals company. But Kelvin at Allen & Young came highly recommended by "Which?" so we gave him a call. He came round, surveyed the property, and came back to us with a very reasonable quote. For three long swelteringly hot 30C+ early September days, Kelvin and his great team carefully packed, carried and loaded a mountain of boxes into several vans, including one van solely for the 100 garden pot plants, all moved as carefully as if porcelain. And on the third long, hot day, we finally moved into our new home and the team carefully and efficiently filled every room with the same boxes. It couldn't have been done by a nicer bunch of people.

Kelvin and team helped us move from London to Lancashire with a number of stops along the way. They were very efficient, friendly and reliable. Nothing broken, great communication. All in all, a fantastic service.

I recently moved house and used Allen and Young. I was impressed with their service. The day before 2 of them came the day before and put three hours in packing. This was carried out efficiently . On moving day day 3 movers arrived on time 8 am and got straight to work. They were friendly and respectful although it was challenging at times as there was a lot of stuff. Unloading was difficult as a lift and several long corridors had to be encountered into my flat.. There were no breakages at all as there were quite a lot of ornaments and pictures . The guys worked nearly non stop till 7pm. A house clearance firm was suppose to pick up furniture and they did not turn up .Kelvin the boss went the extra mile said we will pick it up and saved the day.

Allen and Young moved a desk and filing cabinet for me, just a short distance. The work was carried out promptly and efficiently.

I never cease to be highly impressed by the speed and quality of the removals undertaken by the crew from Allen and Young. It's incredibly refreshing to have a trader that you can trust to just get on with a job without needing constant micromanagement. Simply point them at at a pile of boxes and furniture (in my case extensive) and away they go. The crew is always friendly and punctual and a pleasure to employ. I will definitely be using them again!
