John prepped and decorated our large kitchen/living area and hallway, including stair balustrades. He provided an accurate quotation and the work was carried out in accordance with his schedule. The job was not completely straightforward as we have three dogs, which live in the main room. However John took it all in his stride and we worked together to overcome this issue to our mutual satisfaction. John is completely trustworthy He takes his time and has great attention to detail, meaning the job is done to a very high standard and in a timely fashion. We are completely satisfied with the job and would highly recommend him.

The wooden facade of our home was unfortunately affected by woodworm. I contacted several contractors, most of whom advised painting over the infestation, with one exception. John provided thorough guidance on how to treat the wood and recommended an appropriate wood stain. He also clarified the waiting period before applying the stain. During his visit, he provided a detailed and reasonable quote for the work, which was straightforward with no pressure tactics. He respected our property throughout the process. The final result was tidy and professional. I learned about John through a plumber who mentioned he was registered with Which. I have no regrets about choosing to work with him. He truly delivered excellent service.

The project to redecorate the hall, bathroom and w.c. in our bungalow (involving covering the Artex ceiling and removing the anaglypta wall covering) increased in scope as plaster unexpectedly came away with the stripped paper. Unphased, John tackled all the tasks with true professionalism and undertook all he did with great care and attention to detail. His very pleasant and friendly manner helped overcome the inevitable disruption decorating creates, and nothing was too much trouble for him. A clean and meticulous worker, he cooperated with my other tradesmen periodically (plumber, HV engineer and electrician) who were undertaking ancillary works. A delight to have such a considerate craftsman in the home. Highly recommended.

I phoned John up to do a very small job. He fitted the work in around his other work, and was courteous, prompt znd communicative. He let me know his expected arrivsl time via text. I would definitely use him again

He carried out the redecoration of our kitchen/breakfast room to a very high standard and even picked up on bits which were not in the original specification. John completed the redecoration to our entire satisfaction and we would highly recommend him. We will definitely use his service again.

I found the work of John to be of the highest standard. It was a pleasure to have him working in our house. He made good suggestions for sensible repairs to the damage to our stairwell.

The house l have just moved into needed remedial work and new shelves made for two cupboards. I am well pleased with the work John has done to suit my needs in good time and that he left everything clean and tidy, as well as making helpful suggestions re space use.

I hired John to redecorate the house I had just bought. This included patching holes in the walls, repainting the walls and ceilings, sanding and treating all the solid oak floors. John’s quote was clearly itemised and he was accurate on when he could start and how long he would take. Although not the cheapest or the quickest completion time of the quotes we received, John seemed the most committed to doing a high-quality job and obviously knew what he was doing. We have not been disappointed. From the start of the job, John was proactive in his communication and quick to highlight unexpected problems that would slow him down or increase the cost of the project. John was also very tolerant and accommodating with extra things that cropped up that needed to be done, or in some cases, redone. For example, he finished painting the walls in the master bedroom only for us to discover we suddenly needed to make a hole in the wall to provide access to pipes in the adjoining bathroom. This meant John needed to fix the wall with an access panel and repaint the whole area again. John was very good natured about all of that, which was such a relief. Throughout the house, John’s work was thorough and precise and the quality was excellent. No shortcuts anywhere. John was a pleasure to work with, trustworthy, reliable and a hard worker. I expect to hire John again for many other jobs in the future.
