I am very pleased with the work carried out. It was an awkward area to decorate, including a high double-storey hall, landing and stairs, as well as new large cupboard doors. Everything was completed to an excellent standard. John was meticulous, punctual, reliable and tidy throughout. I have happily recommended him to neighbours. I initially contacted him because he was a Which? Trusted Trader, and he lived up to the description.

John took on an unenviable task: renovating a dilapidated garden shed. Renovation required removal of ivy, cleaning of brick walls, repair of rotted timberwork. reglazing a window, painting inside and out, and laying a new screed floor. He did all of this, and more, with scrupulous care and craft: no detail too small. The result exceeded my expectations: the shed has been transformed. John is not only a consummate craftsman, but also gets on the job with good cheer, courtesy and goodwill. Delighted with his work. I cannot recommend him too highly.

John truly delivers exceptional service, customer care, and a first-class finish. This isn’t the first time he’s completed work for me; his top craftsman’s skills span from decorating to plumbing and a wide range of property repairs. John is reliable, highly skilled, and someone I completely trust to carry out any job in my property. I would choose him over anyone in his trade.

John recently fitted a new walk in shower for me, replacing the tiles, shower tray and glass door. Plus repainting the walls and skirting boards. As well as re plastering and repainting ceiling in lounge which had been affected by a leak. As always, John did an exceptional job. I can’t recommend him enough. Excellent craftsmanship.

John was perhaps the most calm and communicative tradesperson we have had over the past three years living here, and we have worked with our share of tradespeople. The process started with a no cost quote for a number of different jobs including: repairing persistent wall cracks(non structural), closing up holes in walls, redecorating rooms, installing a hand rail, repairing floorboards, and refreshing the silicone in the bathrooms. We agreed that given the varied work, he would work on a day rate, which proved very reasonable. In the lead up to the work John communicated very well about different materials to get and paints to use. Once the works began we were extremely happy to find a tradesperson who was both knowledgeable and patient with us, who did not get frustrated with changes or annoyed by finicky repairs. We were very pleased with the general quality as well, and he even added on a number of unplanned for jobs such as some minor retiling work, and modifying/refinishing the dining room table. We would definitely call him up again next time we are in need!

John completed the work professionally as agreed, He took time and trouble to complete a large job to a high standard. John was pleasant and helpful and carried out the work with minimal disruption. I would highly recommend John for external or internal decoration.

John does indeed provide top quality service, customer care and a first-class finish. John patched-up and smoothed out our Living Room to remove all the cracks, water ingress, rough areas from old curtain attachments, mis-colours from previous decorating and imperfections from new radiator installs. All this work from John resulted in smooth walls, ceiling, skirting and window sills that all looked better than they ever had done in decades … things were sorted out where I wouldn’t have known how to sort them out. His painting job was pretty much immaculate … there are no wrong colour brush strokes between skirting & wall & ceiling and no brush strokes visible at all really. Very good attention to detail, no mess left and all done at a fair price.

John prepped and decorated our large kitchen/living area and hallway, including stair balustrades. He provided an accurate quotation and the work was carried out in accordance with his schedule. The job was not completely straightforward as we have three dogs, which live in the main room. However John took it all in his stride and we worked together to overcome this issue to our mutual satisfaction. John is completely trustworthy He takes his time and has great attention to detail, meaning the job is done to a very high standard and in a timely fashion. We are completely satisfied with the job and would highly recommend him.

The wooden facade of our home was unfortunately affected by woodworm. I contacted several contractors, most of whom advised painting over the infestation, with one exception. John provided thorough guidance on how to treat the wood and recommended an appropriate wood stain. He also clarified the waiting period before applying the stain. During his visit, he provided a detailed and reasonable quote for the work, which was straightforward with no pressure tactics. He respected our property throughout the process. The final result was tidy and professional. I learned about John through a plumber who mentioned he was registered with Which. I have no regrets about choosing to work with him. He truly delivered excellent service.

The project to redecorate the hall, bathroom and w.c. in our bungalow (involving covering the Artex ceiling and removing the anaglypta wall covering) increased in scope as plaster unexpectedly came away with the stripped paper. Unphased, John tackled all the tasks with true professionalism and undertook all he did with great care and attention to detail. His very pleasant and friendly manner helped overcome the inevitable disruption decorating creates, and nothing was too much trouble for him. A clean and meticulous worker, he cooperated with my other tradesmen periodically (plumber, HV engineer and electrician) who were undertaking ancillary works. A delight to have such a considerate craftsman in the home. Highly recommended.
