AM builders did a very good job renovating our house. Their strength is that they took the structural work very seriously, ensuring they liaised thoroughly with all other relevant professionals including structural engineers and building control until they were 100% happy with the plans in place. This allowed us to feel the project was in safe hands which was our utmost priority and the reason for which we are most grateful to have gone ahead with AM builders to undertake the work. All workers were ready from the day that we agreed to start and often arrived early in the morning to ensure work was completed as agreed. Despite difficult weather conditions at times, the roofing work was undertaken in a timely and efficient manner. A strong attribute of the company is their availability to discuss any questions or issues with the lead at any point. This included evenings and weekends if required to ensure we had our questions answered and were happy with progress. Overall, a reliable company who can be trusted to deliver good quality work safely and on time.

We had a an amazing experience working with Jimmy and his team. Very through, efficient and time management was on point. Every little concern of ours was handled and the adjusts were made without a second thought in mind. We was extremely happy with the customer service Jimmy and his team had provided. We didnt have to worry doing any running around if anything was missing - Jimmy handled everything from the smallest to the biggest issue. My kitchen was left clean and tidy ready to use as soon as they left. I would definitely be using AM builders again! For anyone reading this you wouldnt regret this either. I wish there was a way to give you more than 5 stars on here as id definitely wouldve been doing so! Jimmy and his team undertook an extensive remodelling of the downstairs area of my house and courtyard garden. I’d had a few quotes before selecting AM Builders but the thing that really won it for me was their time quote. Others were quoting 3-4 months whereas Jimmy was quoting 6 weeks. In the end the build took 7 weeks. The builders were here every day between 7.30-8.30 am and they worked very hard. The build included: New kitchen with UFH New position for sink New roof above kitchen with skylight A lean-to New decking and tiling in the garden Carpentry in the living room Moving the boiler and washing machine Budget-wise the build went 10% over the quote due to me needing a new roof (discovered once the ceiling was removed), a new fuse box (the current one didn’t have enough room for the extra fuses needed) and a new soil pipe. The standard of work was not compromised in the speed in which they completed it. The finish is very good. Painting was included in the quote so it felt very nice to have a finished house to enjoy at the end of the build. They even put up a few shelves and extras for me. After the build was completed I realised my dishwasher didn’t work. I ordered a new one and Jimmy sent his plumber over to remove and fit the new dishwasher free of charge. The plumber also kindly fitted a water filter for me and finished a few other jobs. The aftercare has been very good. I would recommend AM builders to others. Especially if you want a job done quickly!

Jimmy and his team removed our old kitchen and fitted a new one, they did a great job and actually completed the job in less than the time quoted, would not hesitate to use again. AM builders is a full service company and Jimmy doesn't sign the job off until you are completely happy with everything. Would definitely recommend them.

Jimmy did a great job supplying and fitting a new shower cubicle. Damaged tiles were replaced and the whole area was grouted. Very professional, arrived promptly, cleared rubbish and everything was left clean and tidy.

I have used AM Builders previously and was happy to use them again. They are always friendly and make useful suggestions without being pushy. This time I needed a complete replacement of my bathroom as it needed to be made suitable for someone with mobility issues. They replaced the 90 year old plaster which was hanging on by a thread, fitted a new toilet, power shower, basin, tiles and some grab rails. The shower tray is now just 15mm (half an inch) above the floor so is easy to step into. The room is so much more accessible now. We also had the door replaced with a sliding door as the bathroom is tiny and is now so much easier to get into. They completed the work in time and I am happy with the results.

I engaged AM Builders to make my dad's ground floor area into a more accessible living room, kitchen and bedroom with an accessible toilet. Due to a lack of time on my part, I could only give them a loose idea of what was required. They did everything requested and made some helpful suggestions without trying to force them on me. I changed some of my original request when it became clear my dad's needs had changed, and they took the extra work in their stride. Throughout the process, the team arrived every morning as agreed, were friendly, easy to get on with and clearly knew what they were doing. All the work has been completed to a very good standard, on time and on budget. I would happily use them again.

Jimmy and his team completely refurbished an entire property for me. This involved structual work including new support beams, door openings as well as repositioning of the kitchen. The project included the complete strip out and reinstallation of plumbing (new boiler, radiators and pipework), electrics (new cabling, sockets, lighting, smoke detectors), new kitchen (new units, gas installation and appliances) as well as bathroom (tiling, bath/shower, sanitary ware). Jimmy and his team were excellent. The quality of their work was outstanding, they took great pride in their respective trades. Communication was excellent, the team were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy. A great sense of humour was a bonus! The project finished on schedule. I was always informed of things to anticipate ie sourcing items, deadlines and logistics. I felt that my property was in safe hands. Jimmy's mantra of 'if we're going to do it, let's do it properly' was always reassuring. I was thrilled with the quality of the finish and any issues that were raised along the way were always addressed promptly. A very happy customer.

We are new to the area and bought a house knowing it would need work. AM builders were recommended by our designer. We were given details of another recent customer and she vouched for the quality of Jimmy's work, and their project was impressive. Jimmy and his crew started with us in late April: they opened through from the kitchen to dining room, repaired sagging joists, insulated under the entire ground floor, installed underfloor heating in the kitchen, took out an old toilet and installed a new cloakroom / shower room, made openings for new windows to be installed, re-tiled the entire floor and redecorated - all in about 5 weeks. The standard of workmanship was impeccable, they kept in touch and made decision making easy, their costs were entirely reasonable and they were a pleasure to work with. As the title says, we can't recommend highly enough.

We used A M Builders because they can do everything we needed and at a reasonable price. Jimmy gave us some good ideas and advice. Jimmy & his team gutted our bathroom first, then tiled our walls and floor and around our window frame. Then fitted a new shower unit, re plumbed everything & fitted new sink & toilet & rad etc. Jimmy & his team then started on our Kitchen as we wanted a kitchen diner. They knocked down our partition wall and closed of a no longer needed doorway. Then took ceiling down & insulated & re plastered, levelled the flooring & one wall, then re plastered throughout. Then started on the plumbing side and took old gas pipes out & fitted new piping for electric appliances. Then tiled our floor throughout and fitted us a new separate downstairs toilet new tiling & small sink. Then Fitted out new kitchen units & rad, sink etc and decorated for a fantastic finish. I would highly recommend Jimmy and his hardworking team to anyone.
