I would definitely recommend AM Plastering. Jimmy did a fantastic job plastering our kitchen and dining room, including covering two complicated brick archways. The work was completed to a very high standard, in a fast time. He was very polite and friendly, and quoted a reasonable price for the work.

Jimmy and his team knocked down our old utility room and replaced it with a brand new one making it a safer and smart new build which is also more secure. He and his team were very helpful and got over a few snags that we had. He arrived early every day and left whenever he could’nt do no more work for that particular day. This was a far from straightforward Job given the antiquated and inefficient plumbing in place, but Jimmy and his team replaced and relocated pipe work (including fitting a stopcock, and changing old fashioned S bend toilet) leaving a far more efficient and attractive system, while ensuring easy access - a major consideration for me. The bathroom was completely stripped out, and Jimmy disposed of all rubbish on a daily basis. At my request, he sourced and collected a new hand basin, vanity unit, bath, shower, toilet, cupboard with mirror, floor and wall tiles - the choices he made were perfect and of good quality. All work was carried out to a very high standard and I am delighted with the end result. The team arrived at the same time every day, and worked incredibly hard. It made a huge difference knowing that I could rely on Jimmy and his team to complete the work reliably and efficiently. I have asked him to provide me with a quote for further work in the New Year.

AM Builders are just amazing! This is now the second time I have used them. Jimmy and his team are great at what they do and the quality in their workmanship from beginning to end is no short of outstanding. Their level of professionalism and expertise is what you would expect for the money you pay. Jimmy came to our house at the exact time agreed and inspected everything thoroughly. We went through all our ideas and he gave us his honest opinions as well as other suggestions and gave us a fair price. There were no corners cut throughout. The whole house was rewired, re-plumbed, plastered as well as a kitchen and 2 bathrooms also fitted, on top of replacing all interior doors, laminate flooring and skirting boards. Jimmy and his team gave us exactly what we wanted and they have really impressed me. They opened up a large wall to create a beautiful open plan kitchen / dining area and made sure the structure was completely sound and within regulations. Materials that were used were of good quality and if there were any concerns or issues that presented themselves Jimmy would always consult us before carrying out the necessary work. I can't thank Jimmy enough for helping us achieve our dream home in the 7 weeks that was agreed and would recommend AM Builders to anyone! I plan to use Jimmy and his team again next summer where we plan to extend up into our loft to create 2 new rooms and a bathroom.

I discussed various building work with Jimmy, including a new bathroom, new stairs for the loft, and a new kitchen. He spent over an hour looking at all the work, giving me lots of information and a rough idea of the cost. He also gave me some valuable advice regarding the best low cost (and low maintenance) options for the work. Fantastic customer service!

We are new to the area and bought a house knowing it would need work. AM builders were recommended by our designer. We were given details of another recent customer and she vouched for the quality of Jimmy's work, and their project was impressive. Jimmy and his crew started with us in late April: they opened through from the kitchen to dining room, repaired sagging joists, insulated under the entire ground floor, installed underfloor heating in the kitchen, took out an old toilet and installed a new cloakroom / shower room, made openings for new windows to be installed, re-tiled the entire floor and redecorated - all in about 5 weeks. The standard of workmanship was impeccable, they kept in touch and made decision making easy, their costs were entirely reasonable and they were a pleasure to work with. As the title says, we can't recommend highly enough.

Jimmy and his team undertook an extensive remodelling of the downstairs area of my house and courtyard garden. I’d had a few quotes before selecting AM Builders but the thing that really won it for me was their time quote. Others were quoting 3-4 months whereas Jimmy was quoting 6 weeks. In the end the build took 7 weeks. The builders were here every day between 7.30-8.30 am and they worked very hard. The build included: New kitchen with UFH New position for sink New roof above kitchen with skylight A lean-to New decking and tiling in the garden Carpentry in the living room Moving the boiler and washing machine Budget-wise the build went 10% over the quote due to me needing a new roof (discovered once the ceiling was removed), a new fuse box (the current one didn’t have enough room for the extra fuses needed) and a new soil pipe. The standard of work was not compromised in the speed in which they completed it. The finish is very good. Painting was included in the quote so it felt very nice to have a finished house to enjoy at the end of the build. They even put up a few shelves and extras for me. After the build was completed I realised my dishwasher didn’t work. I ordered a new one and Jimmy sent his plumber over to remove and fit the new dishwasher free of charge. The plumber also kindly fitted a water filter for me and finished a few other jobs. The aftercare has been very good. I would recommend AM builders to others. Especially if you want a job done quickly!

Jimmy was absolutely outstanding, and his crew of workers were equally impressive. My large three-bedroom house was in a terrible state most rooms had damp, the upstairs ceiling was inverted and looked ready to collapse, stair rails were broken, and the double cellar was filled floor to ceiling with rubbish. The property was completely dilapidated and needed a full renovation. Jimmy started in early July and, incredibly, completed everything by the end of the month. He gutted the entire house in a week and carried out a complete transformation: new roof, full electrical rewire, new kitchen and bathroom, fire doors all finished to a high standard. His team worked tirelessly, were highly skilled, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Jimmy was professional, listened to what I wanted, and delivered beyond expectations. He was fairly priced and completely committed from start to finish. I highly recommend Jimmy and his brilliant team.

We had Jimmy and his team k rend the front of my house and a small shared bit we share with the neighbour. His team arrived on time worked very hard and stuck to the original quote. The team were very helpful kept us informed throughout the work being done and cleaned up afterwards. The front of the house now looks amazing and like a new home. Jimmy and his team did a great job replacing the ceiling in my brother in law's studio flat in a Victorian conversion. They were quick and kept disruption for my brother in law to a minimum without affecting the quality of their work. Would happily use Jimmy's services gain in the future

My 3 bedroom house in East London needed a full refurbishment so I called in AM Plastering & General Builders, I had used them last year to carry out some repairs but this was a much bigger project requiring the removal of an interior wall to create a new kitchen, installation of central heating (for the first time)and a full rewire to replace 40+ year old wiring, to complicate matters I would be living in the house while the work was being done. Jimmy and his team worked around me and did their best to make the time as stress free as possible, explaining what they were doing when I asked and leaving me at the end of the working day with as clean a house as possible. We worked together to solve any unforeseen problems (like the replacement of the ceiling in what was to become my new kitchen) and I was informed of any extra costs as we went along. They fixed defects in walls and ceilings, redecorated every room (Jimmy suggested a colour for an upstairs room which I also had my bedroom painted in) and repainted the outside of the house. The job took 6 weeks and I now have a lovely new kitchen and a warm bright house. This is a very professional team who take pride in the job they do and I would not hesitate to use them again for any work I may want in the future. I have recommended them to some friends who are thinking of having some work done to their house.

This is the second time I've used AM Plastering and I'm very happy with the service. The team erected scaffolding, removed the roof tiles, replaced or repaired any parts in bad condition like repointing the chimney, and replaced all tiles and guttering. They were swift and efficient and invited me up the scaffolding to review their work which was very reassuring. The job is excellent and I'd have no hesitation in using them again.

We had been left in the lurch by another firm and were looking for a new firm to complete work for us. We looked for a local company to carry out the work, thinking that they would start to time & put in a full days work. We asked AM Builders to quote for the work which included making good two built in cupboards, fitting and painting eight interior doors, completing a bathroom installation, enclosing an open staircase to a loft room and building and painting storage cupboards under the stairs. We liked Jimmy when he came to quote. He listened to what we wanted and made useful suggestions. He was clear about the costs and advised where savings might be made. Although his quote was higher than some others, there was something about him that gave us confidence and we asked him to do the work. We were not disappointed. He project managed everything and supplied some of the materials as well as giving us his details so we could to get some items ourselves from a preferred supplier. He was here nearly every day making sure we were happy and checking to ensure the right materials were here so work could progress smoothly. His team are very professional, courteous and hard working. They arrived early, worked hard and always left things clean and tidy every day. We asked for some additional painting to be done (at an agreed extra cost) and this was done extremely well and contributed to a very good outcome for us. As agreed, he ensured the work was finished just before Christmas.

My central heating boiler was 35 years old and having broken down twice in recent months, I was increasingly concerned that it would not last another winter. I had recently used AM Builders for a range of building works at my house, and having been impressed by the results, and realising that they also offered gas installation services, I asked them to quote for supplying a new boiler etc. Jimmy of AM Builders quickly got back to me, and having accepted his quote, he speedily sourced a new Vaillant boiler and arranged for its installation. The boiler was duly fitted with a new flue and magnetic filter, a new room thermostat was provided, and the radiators were given a power flush. As a result, I have an energy-efficient boiler, which will hopefully help with heating bills, and radiators which work more efficiently than they have done for some time. The work also involved the removal of water tanks, so no more worries about large quantities of water in my loft during cold winters and the removal of the hot water cylinder from a bedroom has given me much needed space in that room. As before when I used AM Builders, I was pleased by their speed, efficiency, and helpfulness.

We were very happy with Jimmy and the team! We were operating under a tight timeframe to do a total house redecoration and AM completed to the deadline with results we are super happy with. The team did a lovely job with the painting and bathrooms and in addition to the jobs, we asked them to do they were really helpful at fixing other problems that emerged in the course of the project. AM builders did a very good job renovating our house. Their strength is that they took the structural work very seriously, ensuring they liaised thoroughly with all other relevant professionals including structural engineers and building control until they were 100% happy with the plans in place. This allowed us to feel the project was in safe hands which was our utmost priority and the reason for which we are most grateful to have gone ahead with AM builders to undertake the work. All workers were ready from the day that we agreed to start and often arrived early in the morning to ensure work was completed as agreed. Despite difficult weather conditions at times, the roofing work was undertaken in a timely and efficient manner. A strong attribute of the company is their availability to discuss any questions or issues with the lead at any point. This included evenings and weekends if required to ensure we had our questions answered and were happy with progress. Overall, a reliable company who can be trusted to deliver good quality work safely and on time.

Agreed on a job and price, then stopped answering phone calls and messages. Wasted my time. Very disappointed.

Jimmy (owner) managed a team of workers who were polite, punctual and extremely professional. They did a fantastic job on our courtyard garden studio transforming it into a quiet, calm, well insulated space for us. Jimmy was thoughtful and clearly proud of his work and reputation, which is well deserved. He is also a very good communicator. This was a job done on time, to budget and beautiful finished. We will definitely use AM Builders again in the future.

Had these guys come and do my lounge ceiling and they did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend them they left my house very clean and they was very reliable.
