Whilst redecorating our Victorian conversion flat, one of the old wall's plaster came off and required some professional attention. After contacting a few traders, we ended up asking Jimmy to do the job - his promptness, clarity and value for money were the key deciding factors. This was an emergency situation and thanks to Jimmy we were able to continue with the renovation project without impacting the timelines. We highly recommend Jimmy.

Jimmy and his team completed a full renovation of my new flat including; new kitchen and bathroom, sanding floorboards, rewiring, re-routing plumbing, plastering, boxing pipes, skirting boards, hanging doors and painting throughout. I found the whole team extremely helpful, friendly and hard-working; they didn’t take a day off until the job was done, including Sunday’s and bank holidays! My main point of contact was Jimmy, and from the outset he was very communicative, keeping me updated on progress, any new discoveries (of which there were many in such a run down flat!) and ranges of options when new obstacles presented themselves. I’m not very technical, and so I found his explanation of issues and ways of solving them, including timelines and cost implications, very helpful to make informed decisions that I was comfortable with. The team also had high personal standards and sound judgement- I had to go abroad for the third and most crucial week if the renovation which wasn’t ideal, but the team were very understanding and were in regular communication via WhatsApp and were happy to go and get any missing bits of equipment themselves to ensure the job stayed on time during my absence. The team were also flexible and were good about me changing my mind on a few elements during the renovation. The work was completed to a high standard and on time. The whole team were courteous, clean and hard working, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or to recommend.

AM Plastering redecorated my house over 7 days. The overall standard of work exceeded my expectations. Throughout the process, the team was hard working, easily contactable and reliable. The work was also done to a minimum of inconvenience to my family, with the builders working carefully and cleaning up very well at the end of each day. They rightly clearly take pride in the quality of their work and operate with a very positive attitude.

We found Jimmy through Which Trusted Traders at short notice. It was a great find. Jimmy and his team were excellent. They completely refurbished our four bedroom tumble down house including knocking down three interior walls, putting in steel beams, new electrics, new boiler and all new pipes, new kitchen and new bathroom. The team fixed minor defects on the old Victorian interior walls, painted throughout, sanded floors and worked with us to find solutions to problems we never expected. Jimmy was professional throughout and easy to deal with. As on any job, we had to negotiate the unplanned extras, but found the prices were generally fair. This is a hard working team who take pride in their work. From start to finish the job took just under 8 weeks (which was a minor miracle). We moved back into the house on time. We would happily use Jimmy and his team again.

I contacted AM BUILDERS regarding some work that needed to be completed before my wife gave birth. Jimmy came around the next day on time and I showed him what we needed done. He put my mind at ease feeling confident he knew exactly what he was doing and reassured me there would be no problem getting the work completed in time. He didn’t just talk, he listened. We agreed on the price and started that week. There were a couple of little surprises under the wall paper once that came off and other things that come with old houses, but Jimmy and his team worked through them and still managed to finish on time. Very happy with the service and is a very well organised team. Very friendly, clean and tidy working tirelessly throughout the day and over the weekend. We have asked them to do the other bathroom and a few more rooms which require full refurbishment once we get settled with the baby. I highly recommend this company, I have passed their details onto my neighbour who has a list of jobs that need to be carried out because Jimmy and his team do everything from big to small. After Consulting with many different Builders, AM Builders really stood out from the Beginning. when we first contacted Jimmy, he came out on time and when it worked best for us. We explained what we wanted done, and he was able to give his professional advice of what was feasible or not. He gave us a good quote, and tried to work to our budget without cutting cost on good materials and quality. Everything we wanted he tried to make happen. Jimmy and his team, fully re-wired and plumbed the whole house, with a new switch board and boiler, they Plastered the full house and installed a new Kitchen, Bathroom, and redecorated all rooms, doors and woodwork. Not only does our house look amazing, Jimmy kept to his word and completed on the time frame he first told us. we are extremely happy with the work AM Builders done we are getting them back in September to build and decorate an extension. we would highly recommend their services.

Really recommend Jimmy and his team. When we bought our house in Forest Gate it was falling apart. They completed a full refurbishment -stripped out the house, modified the downstairs layout to make it open plan and changed the upstairs layout (from 5 bedrooms to 3 bedrooms), made large structural changes including installing steels to reinforce the basement, and above new openings to fit bifolding doors. They also, re-plumbed, re-wired, fitted a new boiler, a new kitchen and bathroom, plastered all walls, repaired the guttering, fit new flooring throughout, insulated the loft and basement, and decorated to a very high standard. The work was done incredibly quickly (done in 10 weeks) which are so grateful for - sometimes we would turn up and there would be 8 workers on site. Jimmy was always available to discuss the work (any time night and day) and gave us lots of great ideas to simplify the work which saved us money in the long run.

I have used AM Builders previously and was happy to use them again. They are always friendly and make useful suggestions without being pushy. This time I needed a complete replacement of my bathroom as it needed to be made suitable for someone with mobility issues. They replaced the 90 year old plaster which was hanging on by a thread, fitted a new toilet, power shower, basin, tiles and some grab rails. The shower tray is now just 15mm (half an inch) above the floor so is easy to step into. The room is so much more accessible now. We also had the door replaced with a sliding door as the bathroom is tiny and is now so much easier to get into. They completed the work in time and I am happy with the results.

Jimmy and his team removed our old kitchen and fitted a new one, they did a great job and actually completed the job in less than the time quoted, would not hesitate to use again. AM builders is a full service company and Jimmy doesn't sign the job off until you are completely happy with everything. Would definitely recommend them.

The AM Builders Engineer came to service a Worcester Greenstar 2000 boiler. He was most helpful and thorough, and also corrected some errors not addressed by the company which did the previous service. The service charge was as notified and I very much appreciated his work and valuable advice.

We were amazed by the quality and speed of the work completed by AM-Plastering and General Builders. They knew that the project was urgent as they saw the bad work from the previous builders decorating. So glad we used Which Trusted Traders as we had to ask the other builders to leave. Anyway, when AM-Plastering turned up early with all their equipment we knew that they would be very professional. The communication was great any issues were explained jargon-free and a few solutions were provided for us to choose from. The speed that the team worked at was beautiful to see. They all knew each other and worked well together. While two were working on one room another prepared all the other rooms. We asked a few other companies for quotes and were advised that it would take between a week and three days. Some companies did not want to lay previously bought flooring from BandQ. AM-Plastering were upfront and just said this does not matter and should take two days to complete. It took them a weekend of very hard work complete. My elderly father who paid for the work said their work was outstanding and was very impressed. I felt safe leaving them with him while I bought extra supplies or when payment was due. They have transformed the house like the million pound homes you see on Homes Under the Hammer! We would highly recommend them, not all builders are cowboys. Final price was as quoted. For great quality, speed & value you can't go wrong with AM-Plastering and Builders!

Jimmy re-decorated our back bedroom to a high standard. He and his team removed all the wallpaper and ceiling tiles. They covered the hallway floors and stairs. They always arrived at 8am and got to work right away. They re-surfaced the walls and ceiling and built a cupboard around the boiler that looks very impressive. This was the first time I used Jimmy’s surfaces and we will certainly use him again. I recommend him highly. Thank you Jimmy.

I needed some structural repairs done on my house, I found AM-Plastering through the Which web site and contacted them , I sent them a copy of my structural engineers report and Jimmy came over to discuss the work needed and suggested how it could be done and quoted a price. It meant the complete replacement of my bathroom and some major disruption as I would be living in the house while the work was carried out. Jimmy and his team worked quickly and professionally, completing the work on time. The result is I now have a new bathroom finished to a very high standard and a structurally sound house, I have plans for more renovation work next year and will use them again. I can thoroughly recommend this company.

Jimmy and his team were recommended by a friend of he family, after searching for a reliable builder. They relocated and fitted our new kitchen, bathroom, rewired the whole house added spot-lights, fitting flooring, re-routing plumbing to drainage, hung all our internal doors and re-plastered the entire house. The team were punctual, they arrived and started work every date at 8 in the morning, sometimes working late to finish the job. There work was to a very high standard and very professional. Jimmy and his team were incredibly diligent in their work. Jimmy is a credit to his profession. He was able to complete the work to the agreed schedule and on budget. He always arrived on time, and I was able to leave him to work and do the job to an excellent standard. With the nature of the work, it was expected that there would be a lot of mess. However, Jimmy and his team continuous strove to ensure that any mess was kept to a minimum. I contacted AM Plastering and General Builders for a quote for interior and exterior painting and general maintenance (replacing guttering etc). Jimmy came round promptly to assess the job and advised on different options. He was easy to contact and all emails were answered promptly. The quote for the work was absolutely accurate. Jimmy and his team were extremely professional, conscientious and reliable. They clearly took a lot of pride in their work. Their attention to detail was excellent. They arrived punctually every morning ready to begin work at 8:00. Jimmy was flexible in accommodating a request for some additional work. At the end of each day, Jimmy talked me through the work that had been done and explained what the team would be doing the next day. Everything was left neat and tidy at the end of the day. The quality of the work was first class. They really went the extra mile. I was extremely pleased with the job and I would highly recommend Jimmy and his team.

I was really pleased with how thorough Jimmy was in clearing and repairing my gutters. I had had this work done last year and it still was a problem. Jimmy gave the assurance that he had solved the underlying problem and would come back if the problem recurred in the next few years.

After being let down previously by so called builders, I rang AM Builders number from which trusted traders, Jimmy came round, he was very friendly and helpful and really knows his stuff, he and his team was polite and friendly and started work at 8 every morning, always tidied up after themselves and, and now got the bathroom I dreamed of, and I can't thank them enough, I will be contacting them later to have a new kitchen.
