Alex was super responsive as always and was able to come out the same afternoon to repair a broken toilet handle. He asked for photos in advance so he could come with the right part rather than needing multiple visits. Alex is always very reasonable and fair with his charges and he is knowledgeable, efficient and communicative. I would recommend!

The service from Alex at AMT heating is second to none. He installed this boiler around 5 years ago. The installation was perfect - such care & attention to detail. Ever since he has serviced the boiler for me, and always given excellent advice. I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with the work. Excellent communication from first contact to job completion. Fully explained work required. ThoroughFlush heating system, replaced pump, installed new radiator, replaced Magaclean, which had been installed in wrong part of system, with a different magnetic filter. Work carried out efficiently. Both Alex and Josh were professional and friendly.

I contacted Alex as we needed an urgent repair as we had no hot water and the boiler was leaking. Alex came out the same day to have a look and explained the situation and provided solutions. We opted for a new boiler as it made more sense to replace than constantly repair the existing one which was quite old. Alex broke down what needed to be done and quoted clearly what he was going to do. I was really happy with his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

A positive experience with Alex from AMT Heating. Responded quickly to initial messages and arrived at the indicated appointment time, and was friendly and personable yet also professional. Assessed the boiler issue and provided several options for repair or replacement, and presented the facts without trying to oversell anything. Went away to work up the quote and final cost was as indicated during the initial visit. Work to replace boiler parts was done quickly and efficiently and resolved the issue, no problems after the work.

We've had Alex do multiple jobs around the house over the last few years. Most recently, he fixed a broken toilet flushing mechanism. His communication ahead of the day was very clear and helpful. He always takes time to understand the situation before his arrival to ensure he can fix the problem quickly and cheaply. He also often goes the extra mile to offer free advice, both before and after the job has been done. I can't recommend Alex enough. 100% our go-to for all things heating and plumbing!

Alex from AMT was the first gas engineer to come round & explain in detail & in a way that I could understand about the size radiators I would need & about the new boiler, which in the long run could save us money. He was to the point & his experience came through. Alex was really kind, making sure that I wasn't cold on the day & even fixed my leaky tap! His work was neat & quick & he took time to explain the thermostat to me twice!! I'm so grateful as he has made me feel comfortable, I have now passed his number on to two friends.

Disappointed, distressed, upset and inconvenienced by this company. The work was for removing the existing condensing boiler and replace with a new combi boiler. Alex was a very different person when quoting for the works, but as soon as he arrived he had a poor attitude, was condescending about any questions we had about the work and generally wanted us to not ask anything. This was a 2-day job according to him and the 1st day only the apprentice (Josh) turned up and did the work. Alex only turned up for half a day to finish the job the next day. This was horrifying because Josh was lifting 40-50kg items on his own upstairs without any safety equipment. We had problems with the installation afterwards and Alex refused to visit to inspect the problems meaning we had no choice but to pay Vaillant to come out to fix the problem. We also noted the mains pipe was left running through the loft even though the cold water tank was disconnected. This pipe should have been moved and we should have been informed and advised about it by Alex, but he said nothing. We felt Alex took advantage of our lack of knowledge of boiler systems. He charged the maximum price even though he did the bare minimum work (e.g. didn’t relocate gas pipes or water pipes). When we tried to speak to Alex, he was rude and condescending and refused to check his work. We cannot recommend this company and we will taking matters further.

I find your view of my demeanor during our communications to be entirely unfounded. From first contact to post install I was available to answer all questions, even outside of work hours We specified that your install would last up to two days. Both of which I was in attendance, personally installing the boiler and answering questions about flue positions & pipework - receiving a text later that evening with a question which included a photograph showing my tools on-site from that day Josh is not an apprentice, he has 7 years experience in the industry. His competence and professionalism must have been apparent as you contacted him several weeks after completion, asking for his help After a long conversation attempting to alleviate your concerns that the boiler was faulty because of a small pressure drop over several weeks post install, the advice given indicated the most likely cause would be a leak on the existing heating system, which was not installed or worked on by us Vaillant were in attendance that day but found no fault or issues with the boiler or the installation. Their advice was that the pressure drop was in all likelihood due to a small leak on a pre-existing radiator valve that the Vaillant engineer identified whilst on-site. The Vaillant report confirms the engineers findings. Again, this radiator was not installed or worked on by us Our aim is to provide a professional service, and this review is not indicative of several other customers experiences

From the time of the initial survey to the completion of the work I found Alex to be extremely professional and clearly a highly experienced heating engineer. His level of knowledge and approach instilled confidence that the work would be completed to a high standard. I have not been disappointed. A big thanks to Alex and Josh from AMT. I can understand why AMT is a preferred installer for Vaillant. Highly recommended!

AMT installed our boiler 12 yrs ago and to date we always call as and when we require their services. Had an issue less than a week ago and contacted Alex, he was prompt to get back to us and schedule a visit, I explained the issue at a high level so with that they could prep for the worse case of having to replace the thermostat. On the day our thermostat was broken, so a new one was installed, and a service carried out. Very professional service and very friendly in his visit to carry out the work.

I had no hot water or heating. I contacted AMT who I had used previously and Alex attended promptly. The problem was diagnosed and a new part fitted all in the same day. My boiler recently started to leak which quickly became much worse over several days. On the initial callout Alex was able to come around the following morning to diagnose the problem and order in some new parts. When these parts arrived, Alex did a fantastic job repairing the boiler and giving it a much needed service afterwards. It's now in perfect working order, very happy with the job.

*NB This review is very overdue, due to family health issues.* Having been badly let down by a major co after complete failure of my 12 year-old combi boiler, I contacted AMT Heating Ltd, encouraged by excellent reviews on WhichTT & Checkatrade. Alex was swift and responsive with his communicatons. Unsurprisingly, he was busy, but I was confident enough to wait for his first availability, rather than try anyone else (some others I approached weren't so good replying!) and my instinct was absolutely correct. Alex and Josh arrived, on time and with a brilliant, friendly customer-focused attitude; amenable, professional and clearly knowledgeable. Josh spent the day doing the powerflush, explaining everything, happy to answer questions, he's an excellent, good-natured worker, even went the extra mile trying to resolve a related matter, rather than heading straight off. Unfortunately, the boiler heat exchange was beyond repair, so Alex informed me of all my options; the amount of detailed information he offered, including a lengthy phone call, was highly impressive - no 'hard sell', purely objective information, backed up by his extensive experience. Ultimately, I opted for a new boiler, which Alex and Josh returned to fit. Again, absolutely faultless in their approach, couldn't do enough to get the job done to a high standard - including Josh returning to finally rectify an issue with a couple of my radiators. Cannot recommend AMT highly enough! Huge thanks to Alex and Josh.

I realised early evening that I was without hot water or gas central heating and I emailed Alex, whom I'd not contacted before, to ask if he could maybe come the following day to look at my boiler. He emailed back that evening and asked me a couple of questions. He then advised me of a simple fix I could do myself, and it worked a treat. It was such a generous gesture and he is clearly a person to trust. He will definitely be my first port of call for more substantial plumbing work in the future.

AMT relocated and installed a new Combi boiler in 2020 . The installation was first class clean and efficient. AMT have done the Annual Services since then. Alex has just installed and commissioned a new range gas cooker today and re-routed the pipe work as necessary. As expected the work by Alex was neat and tidy again and the pricing for the work is again very reasonable. The company is reliable and punctual.I would definitely recommend AMT.

We’re really happy with communication, professionalism and workmanship of Alex and Josh at AMT and would wholeheartedly recommend. Having contacted AMT, Alex was quick to respond and talked me through the process and work that would be carried out to replace our boiler. He also highlighted common issues in the system as a whole that might require extra work and charges - power flush, pump replacement etc. On the day, Josh arrived promptly as promised. The work was completed to a high standard and we were kept updated throughout the day. The system was tested and house left tidy.

Alex supplied and fitted a new Comfort 1 control and thermostat for my Worcester Bosch Greenstar combi boiler after the old controller had failed. He also removed a pressure-limiting valve I'd had fitted to the water supply some years ago. Alex assessed the job online with the photos I emailed him, arrived on time with everything he needed to complete the work, was cheerful and informative as he worked, taught me how to use the new controller, and was finished within an hour. The bill was exactly the same as the quoted price and was very reasonable. I'd like to stress this: the bill for both pieces of work, including the cost of the controller and thermostat, was less than one-third - one-third! - of the four-figure sum I was quoted last spring by another local plumber for the same work. I spent a whole winter without a fully functioning boiler because I was so concerned about that earlier quote. Clearly, there are some less than scrupulous plumbers around, but thankfully they aren't all like that. Alex is my go-to plumber from now on. Highly recommended.
