Disappointed, distressed, upset and inconvenienced by this company. The work was for removing the existing condensing boiler and replace with a new combi boiler. Alex was a very different person when quoting for the works, but as soon as he arrived he had a poor attitude, was condescending about any questions we had about the work and generally wanted us to not ask anything. This was a 2-day job according to him and the 1st day only the apprentice (Josh) turned up and did the work. Alex only turned up for half a day to finish the job the next day. This was horrifying because Josh was lifting 40-50kg items on his own upstairs without any safety equipment. We had problems with the installation afterwards and Alex refused to visit to inspect the problems meaning we had no choice but to pay Vaillant to come out to fix the problem. We also noted the mains pipe was left running through the loft even though the cold water tank was disconnected. This pipe should have been moved and we should have been informed and advised about it by Alex, but he said nothing. We felt Alex took advantage of our lack of knowledge of boiler systems. He charged the maximum price even though he did the bare minimum work (e.g. didn’t relocate gas pipes or water pipes). When we tried to speak to Alex, he was rude and condescending and refused to check his work. We cannot recommend this company and we will taking matters further.

I find your view of my demeanor during our communications to be entirely unfounded. From first contact to post install I was available to answer all questions, even outside of work hours We specified that your install would last up to two days. Both of which I was in attendance, personally installing the boiler and answering questions about flue positions & pipework - receiving a text later that evening with a question which included a photograph showing my tools on-site from that day Josh is not an apprentice, he has 7 years experience in the industry. His competence and professionalism must have been apparent as you contacted him several weeks after completion, asking for his help After a long conversation attempting to alleviate your concerns that the boiler was faulty because of a small pressure drop over several weeks post install, the advice given indicated the most likely cause would be a leak on the existing heating system, which was not installed or worked on by us Vaillant were in attendance that day but found no fault or issues with the boiler or the installation. Their advice was that the pressure drop was in all likelihood due to a small leak on a pre-existing radiator valve that the Vaillant engineer identified whilst on-site. The Vaillant report confirms the engineers findings. Again, this radiator was not installed or worked on by us Our aim is to provide a professional service, and this review is not indicative of several other customers experiences

Had a new boiler fitted by AMT on Monday and couldn't be happier. Alex was great to deal with when purchasing and got me a very good discount. Josh carried out the installation and his work was perfect — very polite, clean, and professional throughout. He explained everything clearly and showed me exactly how to use the boiler. Excellent service all round and I'll definitely be using AMT again for future work.

Alex came to my property after my heating stopped working, he tried a number of things to get the boiler working again but it had gone completely and needed to be replaced. Alex gave me a number of quotes for different boilers. I booked Alex in to do the work and he arrived on the agreed day and carried out the work to a very high standard. He was prompt, tidy and very knowledgable and I would happily recommend AMT Heating.

Alex (of AMT Heating) responded to my online request for quotes. His site visit to my home was thorough as was his professional advice concerning my setup. The quote he provided was detailed and he worked within the price quoted hence no surprises. The installation day arrived and Alex arrived on time with a colleague and they came prepared with dustsheets and cleared up at the end of the day taking the old boiler with them. The price was fair for the job ie not cowboy cheap but certainly not extortionate. I am pleased I took Alex’s recommendation about the boiler spec (which included 10 year parts and labour warranty) and peripherals - all of which are working beautifully. In summary, I highly recommend AMT Heating. They are professional, very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

New boiler - from old gravity fed system to new Vaillant Combi boiler

I wanted to upgrade an old gravity fed heating system to a more modern combi boiler configuration. I had decided on a Vaillant boiler, and found AMT amongst the companies listed in my area by Vaillant. I read reviews of all of those local to me and decided to drop AMT a line. Alex called me the same day (at a weekend) to discuss the work and agreed to call around the following week, which he duly did. He took great care to discuss options with me, and had some great suggestions on how to arrange pipework to make it a really neat job. The work was carried out within 2 weeks and I me really pleased with it. The quality of work is superb. Alex & Josh really took great care to keep their work neat and tidy. In addition They fitted a new Triton digital shower for me to replace an old Triton electric shower. Both pieces of work were done in 2 days, and quality of both installations is first rate. I thoroughly recommend AMT - if you want good work doing this is the company to chose.

I woke up on Wednesday morning to no hot water. I was passed Alex number over by a colleague who had used him previously. I called him first thing in the morning he was busy on another job but said he would come round no matter what time it was. This put my mind at rest as being at home all day with no heating or hot water was awful. True to his word he came round after hrs. I found him to be fantastic, he appreciated the 2 meter rule worked in a tidy and respectful manner and thankfully fixed the issue, a faulty pump All in all I found him brilliant and would highly recommend

Alex supplied and fitted a new Comfort 1 control and thermostat for my Worcester Bosch Greenstar combi boiler after the old controller had failed. He also removed a pressure-limiting valve I'd had fitted to the water supply some years ago. Alex assessed the job online with the photos I emailed him, arrived on time with everything he needed to complete the work, was cheerful and informative as he worked, taught me how to use the new controller, and was finished within an hour. The bill was exactly the same as the quoted price and was very reasonable. I'd like to stress this: the bill for both pieces of work, including the cost of the controller and thermostat, was less than one-third - one-third! - of the four-figure sum I was quoted last spring by another local plumber for the same work. I spent a whole winter without a fully functioning boiler because I was so concerned about that earlier quote. Clearly, there are some less than scrupulous plumbers around, but thankfully they aren't all like that. Alex is my go-to plumber from now on. Highly recommended.

My boiler recently started to leak which quickly became much worse over several days. On the initial callout Alex was able to come around the following morning to diagnose the problem and order in some new parts. When these parts arrived, Alex did a fantastic job repairing the boiler and giving it a much needed service afterwards. It's now in perfect working order, very happy with the job.

A positive experience with Alex from AMT Heating. Responded quickly to initial messages and arrived at the indicated appointment time, and was friendly and personable yet also professional. Assessed the boiler issue and provided several options for repair or replacement, and presented the facts without trying to oversell anything. Went away to work up the quote and final cost was as indicated during the initial visit. AMT Heating installed my new boiler 2 years ago and I have used them for the annual boiler service for the last two years. The work is excellent. Have always been reliable and trustworthy. Communication is good. Any issues or problems have been resolved promptly and satisfactorily. Always helpful and happy to be contacted for any aftercare or advice if necessary. Prices are fair and competitive and always to budget. I had some other plumbing work carried out this time to replace some old parts as well as having the boiler service. Really pleased with the time, effort & professional manner in which AMT carried out my installation. The AMT team arrived when they said they would, talked me through exactly what they were going to get done and even managed to complete the install on the same day ( a Saturday as well) by staying late to have the boiler commisioned so we had heating and hot water for the weekend. Great advice given prior to install on the type of heating system that would best suit our property as we go through an extension build. Would happily recommend their service & expertise.
