Apex took the trouble to discuss the problem with our dishwasher in detail when I rang. They were then able to identify two alternative faults, each requiring a different part and the final cost of the repair for each. They sent out an experienced engineer, Hamza, who arrived on time. He was extremely polite and friendly and quickly got stuck into the job. He identified the fault and installed the replacement part needed. The job took some time as much of the machine needed to be dismantled. The overall cost was what they quoted for the fault identified and seemed extremely reasonable. Hamza tidied up nicely and the machine is now running again. Thank you Apex.

I contacted Apex to request a service of my washing machine. Everything went like clockwork; my initial call was answered promptly by the extremely helpful and friendly Tiernan. An appointment was booked speedily, a fault identified by the appliance engineer and the repair carried out as soon as the part became available. The Engineer, Alasdair was knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent service all round that I would thoroughly recommend.

Our washing machine - a Bosch - was displaying an E43 error code, indicating that there was a problem with the brushes. According to numerous YouTube videos it is possible to clear this problem yourself. In this case, it wasn't. The engineer - Hamza - surveyed the machine and replaced the brushes quickly and efficiently, with the machine working once again. However, after a few washes, the machine started emitting an unpleasant smell so Hamza came back, quickly identified the problem and resolved it. The machine is now working as well as it ever has done. Hamza was very professional, personable and clear in his explanations. I now know an awful lot more about how the machine works and what to look out for.

Washing-machine wasn't spinning the water out properly.. The engineer was very tactful in explaining that there hadn't been enough in the machine to achieve the right balance ... (I'd been washing my small dog's small blankets in the 15min wash-n-rinse for her smelly stuff. But it seemed there hadn't been enough weight in the drum for it to spin properly, so it didn't. - well, I know now! ) As the engineer had plenty of time left, he also found & showed me where the drain hole is for the fridge-freezer.... He rodded it through and gave me the flexible tube he'd used. I said that the previous fridge-freezer had come with plastic skewers to clean out the visible drainage hole, but this one hadn't. He was a nice man and very helpful. I think it is a bad design fault to put any fridge drainage hole where it cannot easily be seen. This one was so well hidden under the small ventilation rack at the back, that it is impossible to see it.

I needed my dishwasher repairing and had trouble finding a company to return my phone calls or turn up at all to do the job! Apex was completely different. The booking was handled efficiently from the office , the engineer arrived in the appointed time, analysed the problem, sourced the part and fixed the machine. Following paperwork included a job report and receipt of payment. Everything was very efficiently handled. I would definitely use Apex Appliance Ltd again.

When I contacted them they were very professional, they clarified the call out charge and the timeslots for the appointment. Norman the contractor kept me updated by phone on his estimated time of arrival as his earlier job ran over. When he arrived, he continued to be polite and professional. He was extremely competent and quickly located the problem with my old washing machine. He explained everything. He checked for the parts and advised me of the quote and that he would return to fit it. He advised me I would receive an email with the quote. Once I responded to the email to agree the quote within days Norman returned and fitted the parts. He tested the machine and tidied up after himself. My very old washing machine is now running like new; I am extremely grateful to Norman who has saved me the price and hassle of a new washing machine. Apex answered the phone properly, turned up when promised, did the job quickly and using parts they had already brought, and left behind no mess. Fairly priced. Will definitely call them any time I have an appliance problem from now on.

We came back from a month’s holiday, loaded the washing machine with dirty underwear and it died within a few minutes. It was clearly more than a fuse so I contacted Apex straight away. They gave me a four hour time slot for a visit the next day, and Norman came round well within that time slot. He was excellent - he had pre-empted the problem by bringing a heating element that fitted the model of my machine with him (I was impressed that I had been asked on the phone to give the model of the machine - and now I understood why). He was calm, efficient, worked extremely cleanly and within less than an hour, my washing was rescued and I had a working washing machine again! Overall an excellent service - I will recommend to all my friends.

Problem was drying cycle failure on a washer-dryer. Response about 3 hours after my email enquiry. Visit arranged for a 4-hour time slot the following day. Given a call during that time slot with 20 minutes' notice of arrival. Engineer (Norman) efficient and very much into problem solving. Problem component identified (seized-up dryer fan) and rectified with no expensive part replacement needed, just the basic callout cost. All went very smoothly.

Apex repaired my (fairly old) washing machine which stopped working one evening. Arranging a time for them to come was easy, and they had good availability. The repair man turned up as expected, and phoned 30 minutes before he arrived to confirm. He quickly managed to locate the problem and had managed to bring a sufficient collection of spares with him so that he could sort the issue then and there. He explained what the problem was and checked we were happy with the solution before replacing the necessary parts and checking it all worked. Good value for money, excellent service and we were left with a working machine.
