Applewood Kitchens

Applewood Kitchens provided us with a first-class service for our kitchen and utility room refurbishment, overseen by the very efficient Sarah and very enthusiastic Scott, who won't relax until he has another happy customer. From the design stage (Janaye was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with some useful suggestions) through to project completion we always felt that everything was under control. As Applewood undertook all aspects of the project management, and as we went with the people they recommended for building work, installation and flooring, the process was pretty seamless. All the people at each stage were friendly, efficient and professional. A special mention has to go to Matt and Martin, the kitchen fitters, who were perfectionists in all that they did. Any minor issues which arose (inevitable in a project such as this) were resolved promptly and to our satisfaction. One other point worth mentioning is that as we had our appliances replaced at the same time (hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer), Applewood was happy to sell them to us at trade price - a significant saving. We would recommend Applewood wholeheartedly for anyone looking to get a fantastic new kitchen.

With a blank canvass, Scott put forward some helpful options for our new kitchen. Having settled on the final design, from thereon, everything went according to plan. Nothing was too much trouble when, partway through, we requested some modest changes. Furthermore, we had to postpone the fitting date and they again demonstrated flexibility. The materials arrived as scheduled, closely followed by the installer who was meticulous and tidy in his work. Templating of the granite worktops was then undertaken and 1 week later our new kitchen was completed, and we are absolutely delighted!

Really good experience from start to finish. The kitchen was planned to suit my requirements and height. The kitchen fitter Andrew Wheeler was meticulous and ensured everything was finished to a high standard. The recommended building company Mega Group were excellent and I employed them to carry out a complete refurbishment of the ground floor. Luminous Marble who fitted the quartz worktops were very skilled and professional. Tyne flooring did a great job fitting the Amtico flooring throughout the ground floor. Bradley Betts provided a very high standard of decorating. The Company kept in touch throughout the whole process and communication was excellent.

A belated thank you to Janaye and the Applewood team. Following a recommendation by a friend who had an Applewood kitchen fitted 10 years ago, we were introduced to Janaye who immediately made us feel at home. During several months of decision making and fine tuning, including incorporating part of our old kitchen, Janaye provided excellent guidance, honesty and unlimited patience throughout. Nothing was too much trouble despite contstant indecision on our part, changes of mind and not conforming to the "norm". Along the way there were a couple of hitches but each was promptly solved by the team; nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen was fitted precisely on time by Applewood fitters; professional, courteous, neat and tidy. 6 months down the road we still pinch ourselves having achieved our dream of a new beautiful kitchen which works perfectly and adds the finishing touch to our new extension. We cannot recommend Applewood highly enough.

We used Applewood for a complete refit of our kitchen. They provided design services, surveying, ordering and fitting of the kitchen. They also linked us to their trusted contractors for building, flooring and decorating services. It was a pleasure to work with Applewood throughout - from design (where we went back several times after changing our minds) through to finish. They provided responsive, attentive and accommodating customer service from start to finish. Applewood also oversaw the scheduling of the work including the work of the contractors that we had engaged directly, making the process much less work for us than we had expected. Their fitters and contractors performed excellent work to a very high standard and were polite and easy to have in the property. The quality of the work was exceptional, and we couldn't be happier with the materials and appliance choices that they recommended. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

We recently had a new kitchen installed by Applewood Kitchens. The kitchen is superb and the installation process was just as described. Sarah Husband project managed their trusted partners and completed everything in 4 weeks as planned. They also met the budget we set. We would have no hesitation in recommending Applewood Kitchens to anyone thinking of kitchen replacement. They do what they promise. Scott visited us at home and brought some sample panels to let us see the way our new kitchen might look. He guided us on choices of cabinets, worktops, sink, taps and appliances, recognising our wish to have easy access to everything (less bending and stretching). He also referred us to their trusted partners for building work, flooring and finishing/decoration. Work started as planned with ripping out the existing kitchen, preserving a few components such as the Aga. The team from Mega (the Adam’s) spent a day removing everything and left the kitchen stripped back to bare walls, floor and ceiling. They plastered, laid a flat floor and installed the electrics and plumbing. That was followed up by cabinet installation by Andy, flooring by PFS, worktops by Luminous Marble, appliance installation by Andy/Mega and finishing/decorating by Bradley. There were too many names to remember everyone, but without exception they were friendly, helpful and highly skilled at what they do. We have ended up with a lovely kitchen. Applewood did a great job. I retained some cupboard carcasses to keep the cost down. Applewood were flexible with this approach. Communication was clear, and any problems or snags dealt with promptly. I was originally going to keep my existing tiles, but Applewood advised against it and in retrospect this was excellent advice as the finish would not have been anywhere near as good without the replastering of the kitchen. I was glad they did not allow me to cut corners on this. Great customer service. Great team from design, survey and installation. Always turned up when arranged. Generally a smooth process from beginning to end. The quote they gave was a little more expensive than the others I had, but I feel I got the service and product that I paid for so glad I chose Applewood. Thanks to Sarah (project manager), Zoran (the designer), Tony (the surveyor), Adam (the builder for the plastering), Matt (the installer) and the rest of the team for guiding me so smoothly through the process and answering all my questions and concerns with patience.

He truly listened to my ideas and created a space that perfectly complements the barn style of my home while adding a sleek, modern edge. We are delighted with our new kitchen. It was a big project involving the total removal of the old kitchen, re-design and replace with new. The team at Applewood looked after us perfectly from start to finish. And the team extends to project management, designers, electricians, plumbers, fitters, carpenters, plasterers, etc. All top quality professionals. It is evident that Applewood have huge experience of delivering quality kitchens because they were able to deliver a kitchen that exceeded our expectations.

I had a kitchen designed and fitted by Applewood kitchens. From our first meeting the enthusiasm of Zoran their designer stood out.I had ideas but Zorans design blew us away. The firm pays great attention to detail, liaising with our builder's associated trades to make sure the schedule was adhered to on time and budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends.

A new kitchen is a big investment for me which is why I looked at six kitchen providers and obtained three quotes with full drawings (a major retailer and two independents) before I signed up with Applewood. The director, Scott Husband, did not attempt any type of hard sell. I chose him because his offering represented the best quality combined with great value. I couldn’t be happier with my small galley kitchen which is of a high quality, functional and very stylish. The installation process took three weeks from beginning to end and ran like clockwork. This included ripping out the old kitchen, plastering, new plumbing and electrics, carpentry, installation, template and fit of quartz worktop, new porcelain floor etc. Everything. The team also worked around the installation of a new door and window I had commissioned separately. Mess and disruption were kept to a minimum. Any unforeseen issues that arose (which were minor) were dealt with seamlessly. At the beginning of the process Scott said that he would not let me down, and he kept his word. Honest, reliable and highly skilled and what they do, I recommend Applewood without hesitation.

I was quite nervous about sorting out our kitchen, but I needn't have been. Scott and the team at Applewood Kitchens were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and they made sure everything ran smoothly. I particularly liked that Scott really listened to what I had to say and asked me all the right sort of questions before designing my lovely new kitchen. Applewood Kitchens did a fantastic job on the design and fit of our kitchen. Terrific choice of quality units, worksurfaces and appliances, and so good to talk directly with a designer (not a salesperson) from the very first conversation, and to have their insight and experience guiding the design. The surveyor and fitting team had terrific eye for detail and offered great suggestions and support throughout. Such an easy, productive, and positive experience. We are immensely pleased with the result and would recommend Applewood without hesitation.

What a truly excellent company. Applewood Kitchens gave us a great service from the moment we walked through the door of their Moss End showrooms to the day they announce final completion. Even when some unexpected issues arose, they just took it in their stride and rapidly produced solutions. We started with Scott who designed our kitchen really well as we only have a small kitchen. Next, we had Stuart who ripped everything out, plastered and did electrics. Always on time an excellent skilled worker and brilliant at tidying up at the end of the day. Very friendly We then had Andy who fitted the kitchen who was also excellent and very skilled. He also was really good at tidying up at the end of the day. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Sarah arranged all the dates and times and was extremely good. The Quartz worktops were fitted beautifully and when they said. I can only thank Scott and his team of workers for such an excellent job on our kitchen. We are super happy.

We have just had a new kitchen fitted by Applewood Kitchens We can only say it was managed so brilliantly by Scott and Sarah Husband Firstly we had Stuart who took out the old kitchen and did all the electrics. He was outstanding at his work and so professional. He cleaned up every night and took everything away with him or it was collected. The second week we had Andy Wheeler who was also so professional and outstanding at his job. Superb fitter and also left no mess at all at the end of the day The Quartz works by Marble Express did a great job at fitting the worktops. Applewood kitchens were fantastic. They did the work to a very high standard and came on time finishing my kitchen promptly. Scott the director is very helpful and will look after you every step of the way. The tradespeople he uses are excellent. They turn up on time and do an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. We chose Applewood to install our new kitchen as a relative recommended them, having had them install a quality kitchen ten years ago. We visited a few other kitchen showrooms, but the quality of the Applewood kitchen impressed us the most. Sitting down with an experienced kitchen designer to plan a new kitchen is the best way to go, as they know what is and isn't possible within the confines of the space available. As well as coming up with a great design for the kitchen, Applewood's designer Zoran was able to advise us on some building work that transformed the appearance of the room. Our kitchen transformation required building work, plumbing, electrics, replacement UPVC door and windows, kitchen installation, worktops and decorating. All the trades are used to working with each other, which ensured that the work progressed smoothly, and was in fact, finished ahead of schedule. We are absolutely delighted with our new Applewood kitchen, not only is it practical it looks fantastic too.

Sometimes my wife and I leave reviews immediately, sometimes it is important to take the time to feel just how good it is. When you buy a kitchen it is buying something which is the heart of the home. We went through a great process with Applewood where they helped us express exactly what we wanted. Almost one year on my wife and I can see that it has really delivered. The standard of workmanship is the best. Applewood care so much that what was specified is delivered and meets your needs. We could wax more lyrical over each feature, but that would be just personal. We really recommend that you allow Applewood to find that kitchen that really, really makes your home a home.

Applewood we’re one of two companies we met and received quotations for our proposed new kitchen. The quotes from both companies were very similar in price, however, we were much more impressed with Scott Husband from a sales perspective and professionalism, plus the added quality of the Applewood product. As far as the installation was concerned, works commenced on time, were completed within a working day of when they were supposed to and the standard of workmanship was superb by our fitter Byron Lewis, along with the stone installation team. Throughout the process Sarah Husband kept in touch to ensure matters progressed smoothly. The kitchen was completed on budget and our timing expectations were met from our first meeting to final completion. We are absolutely delighted with our completed kitchen, it looks fabulous and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Applewood to any prospective kitchen buyer.

We are having a major house extension and were lucky enough to commission Scott and his team to design and install our fully fitted kitchen. Scott came recommended to us by a close friend. We were originally looking at the usual high street suppliers but felt frustrated because the designs suggested and indeed the service was a bit hit or miss and never really hit the spot. The initial plan was to ask Scott to help us design the layout of the kitchen and then go back to the high-street suppliers for the units and appliances as his installations were high-end and slightly out of our budget range. It was clear from the outset that Scott knew his stuff – full of great ideas, and totally professional in his approach. In the end we decided to go for the lot - yes, it was slightly more than we had originally planned but totally the right decision in terms of value for money and peace of mind. His planning and installation team were first class – a special shout must go to Matt the fitter, who was second-to-none and a total gent. They were professional, reliable (which is always a good start in the building trade), flexible with ideas and great at their respective trades. They were tremendous from start to finish and we cannot thank them enough for making the whole experience a pleasurable one. We are so pleased with the result. I would highly recommend them – you will not be disappointed.

I am absolutely over the moon at the work Applewood have done for me. From day one I have been blown away with the whole team. The designer Zoran was really helpful and together we came up with a great design, the builder Stuart Dooney and his gang knocked my dining room wall down, blocked up my lounge, knocked down my utility room, put a door from the kitchen into the garage making a utility room at the rear of the Garage, a perfect space has been created. Barrie did an excellent job with the electrics, doing extra jobs as the project developed. Then came Matt and Simon the kitchen fitters and transformed the new space into a beautiful stylish kitchen. I was given a schedule before the start and it ran like clockwork! The team advised me to get a professional decorator, great advice as Craig Gilder did a brilliant job. Great to use a local company who I would recommend to everyone.

Applewood have been absolutely brilliant. Right from the initial visit when Scott came to see how he could help us. He went away and designed a beautiful, functional modern kitchen perfect for a family to use and enjoy. He helped through the whole design process with years of experience and a great eye for detail. At any point before the kitchen project started and during I could call Scott and Sarah to ask any questions and they were extremely helpful and always reassuring. We are thrilled with our new kitchen! So many places we went to get quotes from told us that our old kitchen & dining room were awkward spaces & listed the things that wouldn’t work. It was refreshing when Scott was adamant that he could provide us with a fantastic kitchen. His passion & insight were second to none & he was extremely patient with all our questions & changes that we made. Sarah kept us well informed at each stage, breaking all the information down into what was going to happen next. Stuart & the building team were equally efficient. We couldn’t believe they had knocked the entire 2 rooms down by the end of the first day! Punctual, hard-working & trustworthy with a sense of humour to boot. Very impressive. Barrie carried out all the electrical work in minimum time & to a high standard, scheduling his timings exactly to fit in with all the building work. Tyne Flooring were happy to liaise with Applewood re timings so that worked well too. Andy W did a great job on his own fitting the entire kitchen, concentrating on each tiny detail, taking pride in his work. Again, friendly, hard-working & trustworthy. Express Stone fitted the quartz immaculately; it was only their punctuality that was lacking. Bradley came in to paint and was another good recommendation. All in all, considering such upheaval in the hub of the house, the transformation was ‘painless’ and much easier than we had imagined, and this was down to the organisation of Applewood. Thank you!

It is impossible to put into words how much we love our new kitchen! It is also impossible to put into words how amazing Applewood is. Our experience has been second to none, from the initial design, support from all staff in the office, the most amazing fitter and tiler and the quality of the kitchen itself. Applewood's service before during and after the work has been outstanding. Everything went so smoothly and completely to plan including the structural alterations to create our new room.
