Hayden arrived today as scheduled after his colleague had diagnosed the fault with our washing machine two working days ago. Hayden messaged to say exactly when he would be here, which was right at the beginning of the indicated time slot, introduced himself in a friendly and professional manner and set to work immediately. He changed the two parts that were needed - the motherboard and the pump - without any fuss or mess and was finished very quickly. He is a skilled, pleasant professional, we are delighted with the outcome and recommend him and his company unreservedly.

Repair of Samsung fridge freezer

Kieron, the engineer from The Repair Guys, came twice. Once to diagnose the problem and then again to make the repairs which were complex and took exactly the two hours he said it would take. Kieron was polite, on time, efficient and knowledgable. Communication throughout was excellent and the predicted times accurate, allowing me to leave work and return home for the shortest time. The appliance was recently out of guarantee and I’d also like to praise Samsung for standing behind their product and engaging their contracted repairers, The Repair Guys, to do the repair. I purchased the American style fridge freezer from Samsung as the previous identical model lasted 17 years.

Insured Tumble dryer through Domestic & General. First appointment with Ryan T, he listened to what issue was that I'd previously had a week before that was "fixed". Water pump was replaced by another engineer but unfortunately never investigated further so issue not fixed. Ryan basically stripped the inside of our dryer and tested everything he could until the fault was found. Assured me I could use the dryer for short periods until new part arrived. A week later Ryan returned and replaced faulty part and dryer works perfectly. Ryan T is very friendly, approachable and very helpful in the fact he explains what he's doing and what the issues may be. Such a polite person who keeps the area Clean and tidy, although he didn't seem happy to leave the water and fluff on the floor as I insisted to leave it as I hadn't cleaned the kitchen floor knowing he was coming to replace the item lol. Such a credit to your company! Fingers crossed your company is sent out to us if needed again! Well, hopefully the dryer don't break 🤣 Definitely recommended. Excellent updates for appointments and drivers time of arrival.

Repair arranged under warranty by John Lewis. Craig, from the Exeter branch, quickly identified the problem, ordered the required component and arranged to return and replace the screen the following week. Craig is clearly very experienced and familiar with most faults and doesn't mess around; he gets the job done extremely efficiently but with due care. Given today's throw away culture, I am very pleased to have had a repair rather than simply a replacement TV.

The word outstanding is often over used, but certainly not as far as this company is concerned. Our main point of contact was with Cheryl who went out of her way to keep us informed of the progress of a major repair to our TV that was under warranty. Throughout, her friendly approach and genuine concern that we would be inconvenienced as little as possible went a long way towards easing our frustration with LG that such an expensive TV had massively failed after just three months. In short, everything that could be done by Repairguys to expedite the repair was done, the work being completed at a very high standard. There remains little doubt in my mind that the the company genuinely deserves positive feedback, and that Cheryl a special mention. My grateful thanks to all

Beware the small print

Initially very impressive with helpful staff and confidence-inspiring patter gave me a good feeling about their services. My microwave was repaired as per their estimate , within a reasonable time period and although quite expensive, I had no qualms about their ability to repair it. However when it went wrong 7 months later with the same fault as originally diagnosed the immediate reaction was to point out the warranty period for their repair services was 90 days only, something shown on the website but not explained, quoted or visible when visiting the premises. This is despite the assurance that only genuine manufacturers parts are used. Panasonic was equally not helpful and would not offer any warranty on their parts other than the 90 days that their recommended repairer quoted. The £190 repair carried out was money wasted. We are being urged to repair not replace but after this experience, I am unlikely to follow that option in the future and certainly not with this company.

We are sorry that this repair has not met your expectations. It is an industry standard to offer a 90 day warranty on repairs and this is shown on all of our Terms and Conditions which are shown on our website, on our Terms and Conditions paperwork on display in our workshop reception and also available from the link on the bottom of the receipt emailed to you when the appliances diagnostic check was booked. This period will, by and large, cover any immediate failures of components after the repair and if a repeat failure happens within this timeframe the labour and parts fitted would be covered by our warranty. As you have mentioned, the repair lasted 7 months and this would indicate that the repair work completed was successful and the microwave was fully functional for an substantial time period after the repair was completed. All parts fitted to your appliance would have been supplied directly from Panasonic and are genuine Panasonic branded parts and they carry the warranty as provided by the manufacturer. We do not ever want our customers to feel that we have not provided the best service we are able to but due to the appliance being 4 months beyond the warranty period, we apologise but in this instance, we are unable to assist any further.

Matthew communicated before getting here so we knew exactly when he would be here, and it was within the window notified. He had anticipated what the issue with our new Samsung was, as there have been other cases. He was polite and friendly throughout. He confirmed the problem straight away and fixed with a software update. He explained everything he was doing. He resealed the waste pipe connections which had shown a small leak after the machine was moved. He then double checked the machine was working and not leaking before putting it back. He also ensured it was fully level and the tumble dryer was out back and aligned as well. Exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. I don’t know about cost as this was a warranty call. I would definitely use The Repair Guys again and recommend them to others.
