Moving house can be extremely stressful but Matt and Hannah helped organise it so that even with a complicated situation and changing dates they ensured all my things were packed and moved on time. Their team of Jake, DJ and Lee were polite, caring and incredibly thoughtful in how they packed, loaded and unloaded all my items. The whole team showed flexibility, commitment and enthusiasm to supporting me and my daughter with this move. Thank you so much to you all.

The 2 guys were cheerfull and moved our very heavy Foerster piano into our recarpeted room. A quick job and well done.

And from then on they where ( I can only describe as) amazing, they work like Trojans non stop, cleared my house in no time and with great care, and likewise when they got to my new property. Can’t praise your crew on the day high enough, they did everything that was asked of them on the day without quibble and with good humour in very hot conditions, nothing was broken or damaged and the day went very smoothly, you have some top characters in that team that reflect favourably on your company and need looking after as good staff are hard to come by, once again thanks for your professionalism from start to finish we will be recommending you to friends.

Armstrongs moved an upright piano for me. They took good care of the piano, removing the boards which were carefully wrapped in blankets. Once in my house, they installed the piano in place putting all the boards back into position. They really know what they are doing. Very efficient, friendly and helpful. Would definitely use their services again in the future.

We asked Armstrong and Devon movers to meet us at a prearranged time at a house in West Sussex, to load up a van full of furniture, and to deliver it the next day to our address in Devon. Everything worked perfectly. The friendly delivery gentlemen, Martin and Lee, turned up precisely on time, loaded all the furniture within an hour, and delivered it the next day at the promised tine in immaculate condition. They delivered each item of furniture to exactly each place requested in the house, making a potentially complicated operation look easy. Splendid service.

Hi these chaps took on the moving of a piano from our house to a small flat as we downsized. We had had one or two quotes for much more and the magority said no thanks! Great teamwork we were not really sure it was do-able they saiid they would try after a hour they emerged 5 guys sweating and our piano up two floors of a very tight staircase. As the foreman said as I thanked him for a nail biting move, well it is too easy to say no for a lot of companies. A real can do attitude from a very professional team who knew the business of removals and Piano removals all at half the price of the other quotes.

This is the second time we have used Armstrong & Devon Move (A&DM). The wishful thinking:- On this occasion it was a 25 mile move ‘down the road’ to a rental. We (wife and I, both in our mid-seventies) had the luxury of five days prior to A&DM attending to move some of our possessions across. I thought we’d move the ‘manage in an SUV’ stuff between us and then rent a man and a van for a day to do the rest. The reality:- My wife persuaded me to use professional help - she’d even pay if I wanted to be obstinate - and we contacted A&DM with the detailed inventory. We listed the rooms, the individual items, the boxes, and so on. We agreed a date, a price, and assured them of good access to the property. This was done with a couple of emails and a phone call. On the day:- A&DM arrived at 8:00 am with 2 smart Luton vans, 2 men per van, plus another van and 2 more men. They were on time and ready to go…..after coffee! Note to reader - make sure you put aside kettle, mugs, spoons, coffee, tea, sugar, milk and several packets of chocolate digestives. Within 90 minutes the vans were packed and ready to go. Throughout they were helpful, cheery, communicated clearly with us and themselves. They protected the carpets being left, and some large mirrors being moved. But they never did make friends with our elderly chihuahua. By 12:00 mid-day they had completed the job. The unloading process was equally well organised, but sans coffee! - we directed to rooms, they did it. Job done.

We used Armstrong and Devon move for our recent house move and the service was exceptional. They were able to fit us in to there schedule with just 5 days notice. They arrived on time on the day of the move with more then enough staff, vans and equipment. They worked promptly and safely, on an extremely hot day, clearing the entire apartment in quick and time. They then worked tirelessly moving all of our things into our new home and even sorting items into the correct rooms. All the members of the team were very friendly and were always asking us for direction. The value for money was great and would recommend them to anyone.

Armstrong Devon move were great. They were able to fit me in at 3 working days notice for a short distance move. In spite of a mix-up over the start time the office and the 2 guys who did the move were flexible and really helpful. They took great care to ensure no damage and that items were in the most convenient place. I would recommend them highly.

The people from Armstrong & Devon Move managed our double house move, (firstly into storage and then into our new home a week later). The guys were excellent! Prompt, friendly, helpful, (nothing too much trouble), They showed great care over our belongings and were very productive. We used Armstrongs to move our elderly dad out of one home, into storage and then 3 weeks later into his new home. The guys were always on time, polite efficient and very quick. Highly recommend them to anybody needing removals, very reasonable prices as an extra bonus!!

Armstrong & Devon Move first moved us from North to South Devon in June 2021. Since then they have held in storage for us a number furniture items not required until an extension was completed. Their staff were excellent at all times, hard working, friendly and helpful and no damage was caused to any of our possessions. The last of the stored items was delivered on 25 May 2022 and, again, the service was excellent. I would definitely use them again if I had to move.

Our furniture was removed to Armstrong's storage dept and returned to us. The men were cheerful and polite and they worked efficiently and professionally in both remal and delivery of our furniture. They were most helpful and in placing the items on return. Communications were vey good, everything was clearly explained and invoices sent regularly. All in all an excellent service.

Unfortunately we were let down by another company and Armstrong Removals were able to step in at the last minute - for which we were very grateful. We arranged for them to pack us one day and move the next. We were impressed by the friendliness of the crews and their dedication to their work. All the valuables were wrapped carefully and we encountered no breakages or scratches. The crews worked quickly and efficiently, but with great humour, which helped at such a stressful time. The whole process was very smoothly managed and I would recommend the firm to anyone. Excellent service!

Armstrong & Devon Move stepped in last minute to assist a different firm we had booked when they were unable to provide enough staff as a result of us contracting covid three days prior to our move. The guys worked quickly and efficiently, in unusual circumstances and ensured we were able to get our move completed. There were professional throughout and complete lifesavers!!

Armstrong were great, from initial quote, booking and the moving day itself. Always professional, quick to respond to queries and the price was very good. On moving day we had three removal people, they were so polite, chatty and upbeat. They worked quickly, but would always check if they weren’t sure about something. At the new house, again they worked at speed. All in all, a great service from start to finish!

What a great job, from quote to removal. Lauren came round to quote, on the day I phoned, and everything ran very smoothly on the day. All our belongings were treated with the greatest of respect, and nothing was damaged, protectors were used in both properties to protect from scratches, and knocks. The move was stress-free, and I would be quite happy to use them again, and would not hesitate to recommend them. Great job guys.

So glad I chose to use Armstrong Devon Move. They made a very stressful relocation so much easier to bear. The men were respectful of all my belongings, and both properties I moved from and into. Nothing was broken or damaged and all items were well protected for the short journey. They were kind and considerate by reassuring me at all times that they were there to do the worrying and to take the strain off me. They helped with last-minute packing, disassembling a heavy oak dining table and two leather sofas. Throughout the day they remained cheerful and jolly. I cannot thank them enough, and hope they enjoyed their drink on me! My only criticism is of the packing service they offer. The boxes were well packed, but the labelling of what the contents were was a little basic. For example, boxes labelled as mixing bowls also contained a variety of other objects. This made unpacking them a little difficult as I did not know what I was going to find when unpacking them. If the box contents were a little more itemised this would have made deciding if to unpack a particular box or not, or to look for things I really need in a short time. I highly recommend them. I have no plans to ever move again, but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate in choosing Armstrong Devon Move again.

I have found this company to be very helpful in every way, from constantly reviewing their quote as my situation changed, to answering any query promptly. The staff both in the office and the three man crew on the day have all been great. The house we were moving from has difficult access and that may be the reason another company let us down. Armstrong and Devon Move did a fine careful job with five guys who were cheerful and polite. We were very satisfied and have recommended them to two of our friends who are also moving houses.

This was my first solo house move, and my first using a removal company, it could have been super stressful. But the 2 guys who moved my stuff were great, friendly, efficient and quick, they did a magnificent job, even when a narrow corridor at my new place combined with my long couch signaled a potential problem, they immediately had a plan b ready to go (in the end the couch just fit and was moved in as intended). All my things arrived at my new home in the exact same condition they left my old home. Would absolutely recommend Armstrong and Devon Move to others. Thank you.

We phoned Armstrong & Devon to help remove an old washing machine from a basement and bring down the new (and 97kg) one. The delivery service we had initially paid for said that both machines were too heavy and difficult to carry up this flight of stairs. Armstrong & Devon were immediately happy to help and came around within the hour. Both the guys that arrived were really friendly and helpful. They took one look and said how they were going to do it and got to work. They were really careful of the walls, the washing machine and oak stairs. Completing the task in 20mins. They even took the old washing machine away for me. The price was extremely reasonable and we were so relieved that we now have the new washing machine in for Christmas. We can’t thank them enough.

They assisted our move on the 18th December 2021 from Newton Abbot to Ivybridge. Very competitively priced, clean, efficient, fast, very friendly and, when things went slightly wrong at the new house (massive delay and we could not get hold of the developer for hours, resulting in tears and frustration), they were extremely understanding and very caring. We would, without question, recommend this firm.

We moved from an old farmhouse property on 25/6/21 - the weather was hot, access to the house was difficult with steps in and out, the lane was narrow and the drive undulating but the team from Devon Moves were not phased, smiling and efficient the whole day. They took great pride in their work and were communicative and helpful to us throughout the process. Martin was skilful in dismantling and building wardrobes and beds and great how he was kindly giving advice to his team members. All the guys were great - Harry outstanding just smiling and so courteous!

Due to difficulties of arranging removals at short notice because they were so busy in June we had been anxious that we wouldn't be able to move by our completion date. That was until I contacted Lauren at Armstrong. Even though they too were extremely busy, they agreed to collect our things in 3 lots on different days leading up to our moving day, and store out things for a few days, and to basically fit us in around their other jobs. We were so relieved and very impressed with their willingness to move us. They were all cheerful and friendly in spite of crazy hours they must have been putting in! They even managed to find a slot to actually move all our stuff in 3 vans actually on our completion day! And it wasn't an easy or short run as it was all the way from their depot in Newton Abbot to Weymouth! Amazing service and such a refreshing contrast to a certain other removals firm who charged us a ridiculous penalty when, earlier in June, our promised exchange had fallen through! Full credit to all the staff and special thanks to Lauren for her willingness to help us in very trying circumstances.

Arrangements were done quickly. Arrived on time. Fast efficient helpful & polite workmen. 4 bedroom house & basement. All done in 4 hours to the agreed schedule & budget. The cooker was still connected, this was sorted out & two of the crew returned within the hour to take it away. That’s service for you.

The team moved heavy furniture very efficiently to my new home and worked very hard. They kept me informed throughout which was reassuring and overcame difficult furniture manoeuvring which they expertly overcame. Moving the piano to the second floor was very expertly carried out and I was very impressed. I would recommend them. They definitely knew what they were doing. Great team.

Prior to the removal we were kept well informed on all aspects of our move. On the day the two chaps that came were fantastic. Punctual, polite, helpful, very careful with my Mum's precious antiques and nothing was too much trouble. They were in fact a joy to have around as they made the whole day (which we had been dreading) run like clockwork with plenty of light-hearted banter and giggles. Could not recommend them enough!! We were super impressed from the moment we had them round to quote, so skilled at visualising how much stuff we had and the cubic space we would need, other companies were not so able to do this! We moved from a three story home so loads of stairs and lots of stuff to shift! The team worked so well, nothing was too much trouble they left no mess and even waited until we had vacuumed round so they could take the vacuum too. The boss popped in a couple of times to check we were happy with the way things were going, it was lovely to see a happy team and work environment I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their service, they were an absolute pleasure to deal with the office always replied to emails speedily and were friendly and helpful. Top service at a great price, couldn’t ask for more!

We opted for both the moving and packing service and both were incredible. They arrived the day before we were due to move and in three hours packed up our entire house, being really considerate of me working from home. It saved us so much stress and they did an excellent job. The next day they arrived and totally cleared the house in what felt like minutes, and in a very friendly, considerate manner. Vans loaded they meet us at our new property and moved everything back in to the rooms we asked AND put all of our furniture back together. Nothing at all was broken in the move and they dealt with awkward staircases and wardrobes in a very jovial way! We cannot rate Armstrong and Devon Move highly enough, they saved us an enormous amount of thought and stress and made the move a very enjoyable day. All communications with the movers and the office for booking was very easy and clear. Fabulous!

The Armstrong team moved us from a flat in London to a house in Devon and were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. From Lauren's organisational efficiency during the quote and the booking process, always with swift responses, to the punctuality and speed of the packing and moving team, it was a well-oiled machine. The guys clearly took pride in their work and in how carefully they packed the boxes and the vans. Nothing was too much trouble.

Having used Armstrong Removals to move house in the past, and finding them competitively priced for an efficient service, they were the obvious choice when I had a large item which I needed disposing.
