About
Artistic Plastercraft was formed in 1985, with our senior member having worked as an ornamental plasterer since 1967. The tradition of Ornamental Plasterwork is centuries old & most of our patterns reflect past styles and forms. Whenever possible we have reproduced original patterns to ensure sympathetic blending with existing properties. These patterns extend from the Tudor period, through the Georgian & Victorian periods up to the Art Deco of the 1930's.
We produce and supply a large range of ornate and plain cornices, ceiling centres, corbels, niches, wall plaques, panel moulds, dados and arched openings in a range of designs. We manufacture our own moulds at our studios and the finished cast is plaster of paris reinforced with hessian and timber strips. This ensures ease of fitting which can be by screws, nails or a suitable adhesive.

Our original Victorian cornice was just a series of blobs ( 160 years of layers of paint). Dave and his team ( Alex, Danny and Ben) revealed the detail beneath with painstaking care. I can't stop looking at the beauty of it. And they are lovely people too. Highly recommend. Not the cheapest but definitely the best.

Following a leak the ceiling and Victorian cornice collapsed. Artistic Plastercraft moulded and fitted new cornice with perfect seamless join between old and new cornice sections. The fitting was done two days following the profile of the cornice was taken. This is a high quality company and I would recommend them for their craftsmanship and professionalism.

He also repaired a section which was damaged above our bay window. Timekeeping was excellent and we were notified of any delays. The cost was very reasonable. Following a disastrous water leak one winter, which brought down our entire first floor ceiling including a beautiful original cornice, Artistic Plastercraft totally saved the day. The replacement they made for us is outstanding, love it. That drawing room is so much grander with its plasterwork back in place and I can't actually tell the difference. It's like that leak never happened. Totally exceeded my expectations, could not be happier with the results and the process was pain free, totally professional and really reasonable.
