The work done was guttering clearance and repair. I had anticipated having to pay for some or all of the guttering to be replaced but was pleased to be told by Tony that it was basically sound and needed only clearing and repair. The work was done promptly and efficiently and the workmen were courteous and helpful.

Work was needed on the pointing of the main chimney breast on a pitched roof, the installation of roof tile vents and, importantly, urgent repair work was required on a parapet wall and chimney abutting a flat roof, as these were causing damp in the room below. The same person, Steve, came round to do both the assessment / estimate and the work. He was professional, courteous, always arrived when he said he would and did a great job. Ashmark Roofing were an easy choice. When Steve came around to do the estimate, he did a thorough assessment of the items I had prepared on the list, came up with solutions to parapet wall / chimney problem and gave me confidence that he would do the right job and the estimate that came back afterwards seemed very fair. I am very pleased indeed with the work that was done, and he invited me throughout to see the work as it was progressing and talked through the work as it was being done. I would recommend Ashmark Roofing to anyone and won't hesitate to call them for any future roofing works needed.

Very pleased with the work and service. When they came to quote they made safe some of the broken tiles without any obligation. The repair was done without any fuss. Nice people to deal with.

Turned up promptly the next day after phoning to quote for the new roof on my garage, quote was concise and clear as to the work to be done and the materials to be used. On the day of the replacement roof was to be installed the turned up again promptly and carried out the work as scheduled as per the quote, even though there was an unexpected problem, Paul the roofer explained what had to be done and the problem was resolved accordingly. At the end of the work, everything was left tidy and all rubbish was taken away, you wouldn't even had known that the had been. Very professional, a pleasure to deal with them.

We asked Ashmark to solve a longstanding problem with a leaking flat roof that others had tried in vain to fix. Their proposal sounded comprehensive and inspired confidence and, while not cheap, wasn't excessively expensive. It involved re-surfacing the flat roof and also fixing a waterproof cover over the brickwork surround and fixing lead flashing around the join with a window bay in order to eliminate leakage. They clearly explained what they planned to do and answered my questions promptly and clearly. Their workmen were considerate, courteous and hard workers. From what I saw, they were also very competent and conscientious and used high-quality, durable materials. Despite the heavy rain we've had in the past few weeks, there have been no leaks so far and rainwater drains off the roof properly instead of leaving a sizable puddle over the roof. The work is covered by a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee.

We chose Ashmark from a number of quotes to reroof a large three storey Victorian house with two large parallel slate roofs and a lot of lead work including a box gutter between the two parts of the roof. The small team were very professional and took great care to get the detail right. They were a small team of three men and very personable which is helpful when dealing with them. They worked quietly and arrived for work when they said they were going to arrive and they did an excellent job. The job was done to schedule, allowing for a couple of days of stoppage for rain and almost to budget except for a small 3 to 4% overspend because we unexpectedly needed to replace half the ridge tiles and the proportion of slates which could be reused was a lot less than anticipated. Tony Hewitt, the owner/manager of Ashmark gave a great deal of personal attention to supporting the job and he was always generoud with his time for advice when necessary. They're not cheap but their price was, I felt, reasonable. At time of writing we are still waiting for the guarantee documentation as the work has not long been completed.

Am about 2 years late in doing this review. Anyway better late than never. Ashmark refixed some guttering to the back of my house which had come loose and rain water was going all over the place when it rained. Steve the chap who did the work was very professional and did a thorough job. The fixed guttering in still in place and works fine.

Tony organised a flat roof specialist Paul to replace our garage roof and then replace the guttering around our conservatory. Ashmark had replaced our roof several years earlier and we had been so impressed with the quality of the work and the friendliness and helpfulness that we used them again. They did not disappoint. Honest, friendly, helpful, reliable and very professional work. I would recommend them unreservedly to anyone.

We would recommend this company. We had a problem of water coming into the small roof on the back of the house. The work was organised and the problem investigated and solved quickly and efficiently. (It rained after the company had left so we were able to check it was ok!). Management and staff were very efficient and helpful and explained everything. (This was done during the coronavirus problem. One member of the household had to be very careful and this was understood and appropriate action, e.g. distancing, taken.)

Ashmark replaced the lead flashing on a sidewall. They were quick to respond to my initial enquiry and said they’d get someone round to inspect as soon as possible, this took place a couple of weeks later, it wasn’t an emergency so was ok. The man got his ladders out and had a good look, so I was confident the quote would be accurate. The quote was well presented, not just how much but set out the guarantee, which was more reassuring than other quotes that were slightly cheaper. They came two weeks later and fixed in a day, pleasant man, explained what was wrong, showed the defective flashing, and left without any mess. I went with Ashmark because they presented a more professional approach that gave me confidence the work would be done well and backed up by insurance guarantee.

This is the second time we've used Ashmark albeit the first time was a repair. We have 3 levels of flat roof so quite large and the main one has a roof window. Paul and Bradley have done a brilliant job and are an asset to the company, they arrived on time worked very hard were polite and left everything tidy when they left, we are very happy with the end result. We fully recommend Ashmark and would use again.

This was the 2nd time Ashmark have done work me. Very satisfied with their 1st job but this flat roof replacement was bigger and more involved because of the 4 Velux windows adjacent to the roof. Again I am very satisfied with their work, for which they provided a guarantee. Ashmark have again proved reliable, courteous, thorough in all aspects, and giving great quality in their work. Thumbs up for Ashmark and I have no reservations in recommending them for any roofing work.

This is the second time that I've used Ashmark Roofing and I've been very pleased with the work they've carried out on both occasions. The job was to replace the flat roof material above my living room bay window, which was badly worn. Paul and his colleague did a great job. They even replaced a section of leaky guttering as well. When the job was finished they emailed me some photos and a short video which was really helpful. I would definitely be happy to use Ashmark Roofing again.

The work was carried out to the agreed schedule and budget. Scaffolding was erected on 28 March and the roof work was carried out on 29 March with the scaffolding being removed later that day. All operations were carried out efficiently with no come back required.

Contacted Ashmark roofing to get a quote for repair to roof. From start to finish, the contact with them was brilliant, they always responded to any messages I left. The quote they gave was affordable and reasonable. On the day turned up promptly, carried out work professionally and trustworthy. This is the second occasion that we have used Ashmark Roofing, they will also be doing another job for us early next year. From the initial visit and quote to the completion of the leaky roof problem we were kept advised by Tony every step of the way; never once did we have to chase him for an update which was extremely reassuring and inspired confidence. This is not the first time I’ve sought the help of Ashmark Roofing and I cannot recommend them more highly. During the downpours of Oct/Nov the flat roof at the back of my house started leaking and also the chimney needed some repairs. Within a week from receiving a quote (which offered a couple of options) the work had been done. (I had a quote from another reputable company which was a lot higher than I was expecting). Paul and Brad were extremely accommodating, found a way to do the job without the use of costly scaffolding and even helped me out with a couple of additional small jobs which they didn’t charge me for. With Paul’s good humour and with Tony in charge this is a great, honest, well run company. As a single female I am always wary of being ripped off or patronised but I can confidently say that this is not the case with Ashmark Roofing.

With a leaking gutter and several slipped roof slates had no hesitation in calling Ashmark Roofing who I have used before to get the repairs done. After an agreed quote Steve arrived on time and carried out the work needed very efficiently. Nice to find a reliable roof repair company.

Ashmark were highly professional throughout. All the paperwork was clear and correct, we were kept up to date with progress, the roof and ancillaries were stripped and replaced proficiently, everyone was helpful, the costs were reasonable and the estimate adhered to.
