The box gutter of our Edwardian house needed repairing. Steve from Ashmark roofing is knowledgeable and experienced so was able to effect the repairs to a very high standard despite the challenging nature of the job. He usefully provided before and after photos to show the extent of the damage and the subsequent repair work done. There was good communication throughout the whole process which was appreciated. Ashmark roofing are a competent, professional and reliable company and we would therefore have no hesitation in recommending them.

Trying to find a decent, reliable roofer is almost impossible and so when I contacted Tony at Ashmark I could tell straight away that he was all those things. I described the leak from the chimney stack that was happening in very intense rain and he didn't give me worse case 'very expensive' scenarios over the phone like other roofers had, he was pragmatic and considerate about keeping my costs down. Steve came to quote and then came to do the job when I hired Ashmark. Steve was very professional, on-time and took photos of before and after. He explained in easy to understand detail what he was going to do and why. After the job was finished he even tidied up a few other little things he saw on the roof for me. If I ever need a roofer again then I won't look elsewhere, I definitely recommend them.

The roofers replaced my kitchen flat roof which was leaking. Work also involved part of a sloping roof & they have resolved the problem. A small job. fixing the leaking front bay roof - but Ashmark were throughout communicative, clear and did exactly what was required. They were also very clear and careful not to 'extend' the job over and above what was required to fix the problem (others take note). The price was good and the work was done well. The Ashmark team did a super job to replace an existing wooden fascia and bargeboard with new durable PVC. Other works included repointing work on our chimney, ridge tiles and the repair and maintenance of flat roofs and guttering. A knowledgeable, honest and friendly team who completed the works efficiently, on budget and left our home clean and tidy.

My garage flat roof had been leaking for some while. My father had used Ashmark several times before, and I saw that they had good references on TrustATrader. I contacted Tony of Ashmark on a Wednesday, had a visit on Thursday morning, and had a very detailed quote e-mailed to be before the end of the afternoon, which I considered very reasonable and was happy to accept. A date for the work was agreed, and Paul and his colleague turned up at the agreed time and stripped off the old roof. They recommended laying osb board on top of the old decking, which was splitting in places. I was advised of how much extra this would be before agreeing to it. The work took a little less than two days in all. Paul was very thorough, increasing the depth of chasing in the flank wall to ensure an effective fixing of the upstand, and included timber fillets around the perimeter, as per good practice. They managed to retain the upvc fascias. They also covered over the contents of my garage during the work, and swept it out afterwards. Everything was cleared away afterwards and left tidy. I received an invoice after the work was completed, and once I'd paid this, I was sent an invoice and the Insurance-backed Warrantee. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ashmark, based on their responsiveness, pricing, knowledge and workmanship, and courtesy.

I have employed Ashmark Roofing to remove an unsafe redundant chimney stack and to make watertight a bay window flat roof. On both occasions the work was carried out in a very professional manner and I would have no hesitation in employing Ashmark again should the need arise. Ashmark Roofing would be my first port of call.

This is the second time I employed Ashmark Roofing to repair and make watertight a flank window and rear windows below the roof. Some of the work was tricky: Tony, very accommodatingly, went ‘the extra length’ to get the most suitable material for the job. Tony completed the work with great skill and efficiency - diverting the rain away from the house. I have used Ashmark Roofing earlier this year to replace our two flat roof coverings and change all the gutters at the front of the house. They were able to assess what was needed to repair a leaking bay roof, give me a competitive quote and carry out the repairs promptly and to a high standard. My roof sprung a leak that was seeping into my young son's bedroom. On the recommendation of a work colleague I contacted Tony at Ashmark Roofing. Tony came back to me within a couple of days and arranged for the roof to be examined - photos were taken and a plan of action proposed and agreed. Tony explained that he would need to fit my job into his existing work schedule but would have it done as soon as he could. True to his word the scaffolders arrived 3 weeks after first contact, the job completed in a day and the scaffolding removed the day after. Photos of the completed job were taken and shared. I am very happy with the service provided and the job completed (as per budget) and have no hesitation in giving my recommendation to Ashmark roofing.

The quote came promptly after the initial visit and work carried out on the date agreed. Both roofers were friendly, worked well and explained exactly what they were doing. I have used Ashmark before and would use them again as I was very satisfied.

After 2 previous attempts by different roofing companies to fix a longstanding issue with our back roof without success (one company making the problem much worse) Ashmark Roofing have succeeded! Tony's communication by phone and email has been excellent throughout both in relation to the roof itself and the scaffolding required. Apparently it was a small job and because of that firms were slow to even come and quote. But Ashmark restored my faith in using local firms. Took a couple of days for someone to come out and have a look, but that was a positive suggesting they are a busy firm. Then it took a few days for a quote to be provided (which also filled me with confidence). When the work was due to commence, they arrived on the right day at the right time an completed the work in the timescale that was agreed. Fantastic service, especially after being let down by other firms. Would definitely recommend.

Ashmark re-covered our flat roof (on a small block of shared freehold flats) 26 years ago, so they were a top contender to do the same again when, after many trouble free years, we started getting some leaks in the recent very wet winter. We had already decided some time back that, once we started to get any problems, we would go for complete renewal and would add insulation. Comparative quotes showed their price to be the local rate for the job. The two workers (the senior of whom had been the assistant on the previous occasion) were pleasant, helpful and ready to answer any questions arising in the course of the job. Disturbance to residents was minimal and, when a detail needed to be changed in a way which reduced time and material needed, they promptly reduced their price without our needing to request this. All was completed in the predicted timescale. The site was kept clean for the duration of the work and all rubbish was cleared and scaffolding removed a few days after completion. As Secretary of the flats management company I was their main contact. A 10 years guarantee has been provided.

I used Ashmark Roofing for a replacement flat roof. The company has been very professional throughout, from organising the quote through to completing the work. Communication with Tony to organise dates and times was very smooth and prompt. Paul and Brad were super professional and did an excellent job on the flat roof. Tony and his team did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them. They were polite, professional and did everything in a timely fashion. Tony arranged everything, from scaffolders to paperwork and visits from Haringey Building Control, whilst keeping me abreast of all developments. Tom and Ant initially came to look at the issue, temporarily shifting a few tiles back in place to stop water pouring through the house! Having decided to go ahead with replacing heavy concrete tiles with slate, I signed the paperwork and the job was booked. I then paid a 25% deposit and scaffolding was erected. After tiles were removed from the first side of a three sided pitched roof and following a visit from Haringey’s surveyor, we decided that the whole roof needed to be replaced, as the beams were warped. Tony worked hard keeping additional costs down, for which I am grateful. Tom and Ant were skilled and worked exceptionally hard, completing the job in under four weeks and in time for Christmas. They never once lost their momentum or their sense of humour, despite freezing cold, wet, windy Nov/Dec weather. They were knowledgeable and happy to answer all my questions, helping me to safely climb the scaffolding to survey the situation with my own eyes. They then went the extra mile and left everything clean and tidy. They really were amazing and my slate roof looks fantastic. Thank you so much! An excellent service. Communication was easy, agreed dates were kept too. Steve who did the actual work in fact did a bit more than was quoted for , which was a nice touch. Probably not the cheapest but undoubtedly it was the sort of service you would want fomrom a builder.

Ashmark are excellent roofers the best in the business in the local area. I have used them for various jobs going back 20 years and have never been disappointed. They charge a fair price for honest and thorough work. They take photos of the work they do and explain why it was needed. They quote a price and stick to it. My old aerial pole snapped and the aerial fell and cracked a tile and part of the aerial was protruding into my loft. I only realised when it rained and the ceiling in my back room was dripping. I contacted Ashmark and Steve came round to take a look. He then came round to do the work. He did an excellent job I am very pleased.

It was also carried out without fuss and observations were practical and constructive. All costs were reasonable, and the quote for the work was very competitive. Our gutters were overflowing and we thought might need replacing. Ashmark visited for a quote, suggested trying unblinking with a ladder first and undertook this work very satisfactorily. I would recommend for timely, honest and expert work.
