Apparently it was a small job and because of that firms were slow to even come and quote. But Ashmark restored my faith in using local firms. Took a couple of days for someone to come out and have a look, but that was a positive suggesting they are a busy firm. Then it took a few days for a quote to be provided (which also filled me with confidence). When the work was due to commence, they arrived on the right day at the right time an completed the work in the timescale that was agreed. Fantastic service, especially after being let down by other firms. Would definitely recommend.

My roof sprung a leak that was seeping into my young son's bedroom. On the recommendation of a work colleague I contacted Tony at Ashmark Roofing. Tony came back to me within a couple of days and arranged for the roof to be examined - photos were taken and a plan of action proposed and agreed. Tony explained that he would need to fit my job into his existing work schedule but would have it done as soon as he could. True to his word the scaffolders arrived 3 weeks after first contact, the job completed in a day and the scaffolding removed the day after. Photos of the completed job were taken and shared. I am very happy with the service provided and the job completed (as per budget) and have no hesitation in giving my recommendation to Ashmark roofing.

After arranging the erection of suitable scaffolding by a third party, Steve and Tony from the firm arrived at the promised time, replaced the gutter at the rear of my house and installed UPVC fascia and soffit boards in a professional and timely manner, and cleared up properly after completing the work in one morning. Both were pleasant and polite at all times. The firm has always done very satisfactory work for me over several years, and I don't hesitate to recommend them.

This is the second time I employed Ashmark Roofing to repair and make watertight a flank window and rear windows below the roof. Some of the work was tricky: Tony, very accommodatingly, went ‘the extra length’ to get the most suitable material for the job. Ashmark Roofing replaced the gutters on the rear of our house. They came to quote very soon and we only had to wait around two weeks after that for the work to be done. The job was done very efficiently and only took half a day. The two roofers who attended were pleasant to have around and cleared up thoroughly after themselves. Ashmark Roofing replaced the existing worn out covering of the two flat roofs with three layer Torch on Felt and replaced the old cast-iron gutters with pvc ones at the same time. Paul, Ashmark's flat roof specialist, carried out the work with Brad, arrived as planned, kept me informed of progress, repaired a small issue, worked through to finish the job over the two days as scheduled and cleaned up beautifully at the end. The box gutter of our Edwardian house needed repairing. Steve from Ashmark roofing is knowledgeable and experienced so was able to effect the repairs to a very high standard despite the challenging nature of the job. He usefully provided before and after photos to show the extent of the damage and the subsequent repair work done. There was good communication throughout the whole process which was appreciated. Ashmark roofing are a competent, professional and reliable company and we would therefore have no hesitation in recommending them.

Trying to find a decent, reliable roofer is almost impossible and so when I contacted Tony at Ashmark I could tell straight away that he was all those things. I described the leak from the chimney stack that was happening in very intense rain and he didn't give me worse case 'very expensive' scenarios over the phone like other roofers had, he was pragmatic and considerate about keeping my costs down. Steve came to quote and then came to do the job when I hired Ashmark. Steve was very professional, on-time and took photos of before and after. He explained in easy to understand detail what he was going to do and why. After the job was finished he even tidied up a few other little things he saw on the roof for me. Dealing with Ashmark Roofing was a pleasure throughout. Initially, I communicated with Tony, the company manager. His communication both on the phone and subsequent emails was excellent. He listened carefully to the work I wanted done on my roof and guttering. He then arranged for Steve to come and estimate for the work. Steve was friendly and polite and gave me a clear idea of what was needed. On a gutter repair he said his aim was always to repair if possible rather than renew. Ashmark replaced the front slate roof on my Victorian house, with workmanship to a high standard and I'm very pleased with the end result. They weren't able to replace my roof immediately, as I was in a bit of a queue for their services. However, they patched up my original roof to make sure it was watertight, to see me through the waiting period, and a lot of rain. I was also shown the courtesy of a couple of update calls, to say I'd not been forgotten and to tell me the progress of my position in the queue, which I was most grateful for. The workmen arrived as planned and were all incredibly polite and courteous, once again keeping me informed of their progress. They pointed out a couple of little issues with my brickwork and repaired them at no extra cost to the quote I'd received. They completed the work to schedule and tidied up very well. I received the guarantee and insurance documents within a couple of days of the roof's completion. The price of the work was reasonable and for once, I wasn't left with that nagging feeling of doubt that I'd overpaid for a service, which I've been left with previously. I highly recommend Ashmark and my experience of them left me feeling that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about customer satisfaction.

Ashmark replaced all the main house guttering which had been incorrectly installed since the house was built 30 years ago. Their workman Steve did a great job, ensuring a proper fall on the new gutter and at the same time painting the soffits and covering the existing sound fascia boards with very smart Upvc covers throughout. The end result looks good, and at last properly diverts rain away from the house into the downpipes. Tony oversaw the project with prompt replies to my emails and good attention to detail. I have employed Ashmark Roofing to remove an unsafe redundant chimney stack and to make watertight a bay window flat roof. This is not the first time I’ve sought the help of Ashmark Roofing and I cannot recommend them more highly. During the downpours of Oct/Nov the flat roof at the back of my house started leaking and also the chimney needed some repairs. Within a week from receiving a quote (which offered a couple of options) the work had been done. (I had a quote from another reputable company which was a lot higher than I was expecting). Paul and Brad were extremely accommodating, found a way to do the job without the use of costly scaffolding and even helped me out with a couple of additional small jobs which they didn’t charge me for. With Paul’s good humour and with Tony in charge this is a great, honest, well run company. As a single female I am always wary of being ripped off or patronised but I can confidently say that this is not the case with Ashmark Roofing.

Steve and his assistant cut a new valley in our roof, repaired broken tiles and put lead flashing between the join with next door’s roof. We had a bad leak in the roof which was completely fixed by the end of the work. The work is of fantastic quality and guaranteed and insured. We were talked through the work throughout the job and were shown photos of every stage. They worked hard to complete the work on the last day as heavy rain was forecast for that night. Steve also fixed a loose drainpipe for no extra charge. They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and reliable and I would heartily recommend them to anyone for roofing matters. It is difficult to find sufficient words of praise for Ashmark who completely re-roofed our very large old building earlier this month. They were the best. Tony who handled the administration side was meticulous in quoting for the work, addressing our queries, updating us on progress, dealing with the Council, and handling the unexpected. It was a joy for all the separate owners / occupiers of our home to encounter Ashmark’s level of efficiency. The team who carried out the work were a pleasure to have around, courteous and sensitive to resident needs. They also began on the agreed date and completed within the estimated timescale. Ashmark Roofing was recommended by two neighbours and the firm lived up to expectations. Paul came to replace my leaky rear flat roof. He arrived at 8.00 am as arranged and the roof was completed by 2.00 pm. The finished roof looked immaculate. All old material was removed from site and his young assistant swept all the dust and debris away with a very large broom. It was taken away for safe disposal. No more leaks this winter.

Ashmark were excellent to deal with. I coordinated the quote with Tony. Steve came right on time to look at the job and gave some advice about the insurance aspect. Though it turned out to be a small section of roof that needed repair I told him I was getting in other contractors to look at masonry and pointing. Steve gave me some sound advice on the best practice for repairing our parapet wall and render, even though he didn't need to. Steve returned to repair the roof today and did a few extra things he spotted, including replacing some cracked concrete render on the chimney breast that had not been visible at the time of quoting and would have resulted in a leak if not addressed. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

The roof on our 1930"s end of terrace had needed replacing for some time as it was the original from when the house was built. As, like most people the main concern was to get somebody to do a good job for a fair price, as it"s a major outlay and you dont want worries after it"s been done. My partners daughter chose Ashmark Roofing from reviews on the internet and I"m glad she did. I dealt with the owner Tony to see the work completed. He was very honest with me as at the time there were supply issues. The job went very well, scaffolding came when it said it would on the Monday and work started on the Thursday and completed on the following Thursday. The men were excellent, good workers, very considerate and tidy. They did a first class job and neighbours have admired their work as have we.

We recently had a flat roof replacement completed by Ashmark Roofing. All done to schedule and the agreed amount. Paul who carried out the work was very professional, and a friendly guy. Easy to talk to and ask questions and was very helpful. We’ve been wanting to get the roof repaired for some time and upon recommendation, I decided to go ahead and I am very glad we did. The new roof has been completed to a very high standard and with full guarantee which is very reassuring. I would definitely contact them again in the future for any roofing needs.

My garage flat roof had been leaking for some while. My father had used Ashmark several times before, and I saw that they had good references on TrustATrader. I contacted Tony of Ashmark on a Wednesday, had a visit on Thursday morning, and had a very detailed quote e-mailed to be before the end of the afternoon, which I considered very reasonable and was happy to accept. A date for the work was agreed, and Paul and his colleague turned up at the agreed time and stripped off the old roof. They recommended laying osb board on top of the old decking, which was splitting in places. I was advised of how much extra this would be before agreeing to it. The work took a little less than two days in all. Paul was very thorough, increasing the depth of chasing in the flank wall to ensure an effective fixing of the upstand, and included timber fillets around the perimeter, as per good practice. They managed to retain the upvc fascias. They also covered over the contents of my garage during the work, and swept it out afterwards. Everything was cleared away afterwards and left tidy. I received an invoice after the work was completed, and once I'd paid this, I was sent an invoice and the Insurance-backed Warrantee. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ashmark, based on their responsiveness, pricing, knowledge and workmanship, and courtesy.

We wanted our old flat roof - nearing the end of its life - renewed before having solar panels installed. Paul, Ashmark's flat roof specialist, inspired confidence from the beginning, suggesting bonding on another layer. Ashmark gave us a competitive quote. Paul and Brad were fabulously efficient, unfazed by the fact that we had covid (we masked up and kept away from them). They did a brilliant job, cleaned up beautifully and, when there was a slight problem with waste, came back promptly to sort it out. I can't recommend them highly enough. The work was carried out to the agreed schedule and budget. Scaffolding was erected on 28 March and the roof work was carried out on 29 March with the scaffolding being removed later that day. All operations were carried out efficiently with no come back required.

Second time I have used this company (for flat roof first time). Roofers worked really hard in difficult conditions (between storms) to complete the work. They were punctual, very polite, approachable, reassuring, thorough and always took time to explain and keep us informed at each stage of the work. Took before and after photos of all the work. -Removed existing loose and defective render and defective flashings from complete length of side parapet wall. -Replaced broken tiles. -Supplied and fixed a new code four lead cover flashing to the complete length of each wall with galvanised render bead. -Rendered the inside face of the wall with mortar mix to a smooth finish. -Dressed the new lead flashing over the contours of the adjacent tiles. -Remove debris from site on completion.

I'd had a problem with water egress following a loft extension and removal of a chimney breast. At least three other roofing companies had failed to fix or even diagnose the correct cause and had consequently failed to fix the problem. Ashmark Roofing figured it out quickly and fixed the problem. They were friendly, hard-working and completed the work on time. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Ashmark Roofing carried out a fairly small repair on the roof of the property. During periods of heavy and persistent rain, water was getting through the roof into the bathroom, resulting in two damp patches on the ceiling and the top of the wall. I contacted Ashmark Roofing via their website. Tony who dealt with the communication and administration informed me that he would get someone from the team (another Tony) to inspect the problem. He arrived punctually, was cheerful and knowledgeable, and made his recommendations. I then received a written estimate by email, with one arriving in the post a few days later. After a few more questions from my side, emailed to Ashmark Roofing and answered promptly by Tony, I engaged them to carry out the work. The lead-in time for the job was 2-3 weeks and it was carried out within this timeframe by the other Tony along with another member of the Ashmark Roofing team. They also did an extra job of filling in a couple of holes in the brickwork of the outside rear wall, at no extra charge. They cleared up any debris and removed it from the property. I am pleased to recommend Ashmark Roofing and would certainly use them again in the future if needed.

The roof of our new house had been neglected for decades and required a range of small jobs done to prevent future damage and resolve small issues. I engaged Ashmark Roofing to renew the felt on my flat roof. Tony dealt with the administration and kept me updated regarding work commencement, given the inclement weather we were experiencing. The scaffolding was erected when promised and Paul and Bradley attended to complete the work. My roof is set on many levels making it a somewhat complicated job, which they completed brilliantly by working very hard. They always arrived on time, were very pleasant and kept me informed about what they were doing. All debris was removed from the site and they were pedantic about clearing up. I would be happy to recommend and use this company again.

Ashmark Roofing did a brilliant job in re-alignment of my gutter and reinforced a roof board, which has been problematic for a time. I have paid some one else a few years to put up new gutters, after a year the water was running down the window. I thought that I had to replace the gutters but was told by Tony that wasn’t required. Tony the roofer turned up when they said he would, he was pleasant, knowledgeable and explained the work that he was undertaking. He found an issue with one of my windows, he took photos so that I could see the issue and provided a quote. Tony cleaned up and also removed some old birds nest, sealed the holes. All works was done to the agreement amount and timings. I haven’t found any issue so far, it’s been raining a lot lately and the gutters are doing what they're supposed to do.

I had to call Ashmark Roofing to attend to my conservatory roof which needed some repairs. I have used this company in the past and have found them to be reliable and attentive. The proprietor is helpful but sometimes difficult to get hold of. He sent round somebody to whom I explained the problem and I expressed what I wanted done. This man was very punctual which I appreciated. I received an estimate a few days later and after a few phone calls and e-mails agreed a date for them to start. Two men came over and again they were very punctual. They finished the work in a couple of hours and cleared and removed all the debris from the site. The workers are respectful, friendly and polite. I was sent an invoice by post which I had to pay promptly according to their terms and conditions.

Ashmark Roofers came to solve a roof problem that we had and initially cleared debris that had blocked a gully and then came along on a separate day to sweep and properly clear the whole roof, which is quite big. This a block of 21 flats, with seven flats on each floor. They were very efficient and friendly.

I had 2 small flat roofs renewed. The work was carried out at an agreed date and agreed price. A leaking gutter spotted just before Christmas, Ashmark were able to respond quickly and a minor problem with the actual repair job was swiftly dealt with a few days later.

Tony & Steve quoted for replacement Fascia & Soffit boards plus a new Gutter and Downpipe in black UPVC. There was a substantial amount of work to do high up on the roof level, using scaffolding provided for a structural repair contactor. Tony was happy to use that scaffolding and fit in with our timescale once the brickwork repair had finished. Steve arrived on the day and just cracked on with it dealing happily with a number of issues, in spite of a slightly wonky roof level. All of the work was done to the highest standards and we felt included in all the decisions and asked to approve the work once completed at the end of the day. Tony is what I would call a traditional time served craftsman, no messing about, knows what he does is high quality, very polite and is happy to chat although being so highly rated comes with a problem, this firm is very busy, so expect to wait a little. I will be delighted to work with Ashmark Roofing in the near future. As far as cost is concerned Ashmark Roofing are fair and reasonable and the final invoice matched the quoted estimate exactly. Tony and Steve will go out of their way to help, even posting me some spare gutter bracket clips. Very highly recommended for roofing and gutter/fascia/soffit work.

They were quick to respond to my initial enquiry and said they’d get someone round to inspect as soon as possible, this took place a couple of weeks later, it wasn’t an emergency so was ok. Tony organised steve and his colleague to carried out a couple of jobs need doing on the roof , chimney snack repointing and replace flashing , aluminum soaker. A tile had fallen from my roof, damaging guttering as it fell and the apex ridge tiles needed patching. On further inspection in the loft I realised the roof was leaking. Tony and Bob came and did an excellent job repairing my roof. We would recommend this company. We had a problem of water coming into the small roof on the back of the house. The work was organised and the problem investigated and solved quickly and efficiently. (It rained after the company had left so we were able to check it was ok!). Management and staff were very efficient and helpful and explained everything. After a re-arrangement due to bad weather, one of their roofers came around to fix some slates and the flashing on our lean-to roof. The work was done quickly, and everything is to a high standard. No issues with unexpected charges at a later date either - very pleased!

Last month we noticed (what we thought) was a damp patch in our kitchen. We thought that the flat roof over the kitchen was finally showing signs of wear and tear. We contacted Ashmark who came at the appointed time and assessed. No leak or water penetration due to the roof (condensation was the problem). Ashmark suggested an insulation layer on the flat roof . We decided to go for this option as the flat roof was at least 17 years old (the time we have been in the house). Now we have an enhanced flat roof with a 10 yr guarantee and the bonus of the kitchen feeling warmer due to the extra layer of insulation. We have used Ashmark in the past and I would only want to use Ashmark for roofing jobs on our house.

We chose Ashmark from a number of quotes to reroof a large three storey Victorian house with two large parallel slate roofs and a lot of lead work including a box gutter between the two parts of the roof. The small team were very professional and took great care to get the detail right. They were a small team of three men and very personable which is helpful when dealing with them. They worked quietly and arrived for work when they said they were going to arrive and they did an excellent job. The job was done to schedule, allowing for a couple of days of stoppage for rain and almost to budget except for a small 3 to 4% overspend because we unexpectedly needed to replace half the ridge tiles and the proportion of slates which could be reused was a lot less than anticipated. Tony Hewitt, the owner/manager of Ashmark gave a great deal of personal attention to supporting the job and he was always generoud with his time for advice when necessary. They're not cheap but their price was, I felt, reasonable. At time of writing we are still waiting for the guarantee documentation as the work has not long been completed.

This was a small fascia & flashing repair job done well at a good price. Had bad experiences with 2 previous roofers who wanted very high fees for work not needed, Ashmark's advice put my mind at rest.

We asked Ashmark to solve a longstanding problem with a leaking flat roof that others had tried in vain to fix. Their proposal sounded comprehensive and inspired confidence and, while not cheap, wasn't excessively expensive. It involved re-surfacing the flat roof and also fixing a waterproof cover over the brickwork surround and fixing lead flashing around the join with a window bay in order to eliminate leakage. Turned up promptly the next day after phoning to quote for the new roof on my garage, quote was concise and clear as to the work to be done and the materials to be used. On the day of the replacement roof was to be installed the turned up again promptly and carried out the work as scheduled as per the quote, even though there was an unexpected problem, Paul the roofer explained what had to be done and the problem was resolved accordingly. Was very impressed with Tony and his team. Needed to have the gully at the top of our flats repaired, together with replacement of missing tiles. Got 3 quotes of which Tony's was the middle, but came with the insurance backed guarantee. Work was done on time and all rubbish cleared. Price charged was same as the quote with no hidden extras. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Having had bad experiences with roofers before, I wholeheartedly recommend Ashmark.
