I am highly delighted with the work undertaken by this company, namely a new roof, facia, gutterings and downspouts. When they came out to provide a quote they were extremely helpful and gave me a written contract that outlined all of the work we had agreed on, it was detailed and thorough and they came on the agreed date to commence the work, subject to weather conditions - that was the only proviso listed in the contract at the time of writing it. All of the men that came out to remove and install all of the items listed in the contract, were really professional, good and nothing was too much trouble for them to do. The work was checked regularly by the managers of the company and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to have them install any of the items listed in this review. Fully satisfied with the professionalism of the company from start to finish. Always someone available in office for any questions. We were involved in the planning. Installation was on time. The team were friendly, hard working and no bother. Cleared up at the end of each day. Despite the necessary hammering on the rafters and installation of required insulation in attic, there was no damage to any interior decoration in the house. The roof looks first class now. I recommend Ashton Roofing.

The company undertook fascia and porch work for The Management Company on the development where I live. I asked for additional personal work by way of balcony floor replacement with a edpm waterproof floor which was completed most satisfactorily yesterday. Excellent, tidy work.

We asked Dan to quote for the above and immediately felt comfortable with his knowledge, timescales and importantly the cost. The work was carried out as scheduled by 3 roofers who worked tirelessly on what must be the 3 hottest days of the year so far, so hats off to them all. Dan called after to check all was ok and were we pleased with the work carried out. Suffice to say we were well pleased. All rubbish was cleared away and property left tidy. I would recommend this company and would use them again in the future if need be.

I have to disagree with the other reviews in our case as our experience was not good at al. Dan originally provided a quote for our roof which was in line with other quotes we received from 3 other companies. Other companies said it would take around 7-8 days at the most with 2-3 men on the job so the quote was in line with that. Just before we were due to pay the deposit for materials (which other companies didn't ask for out of interest) Dan visited the property again, followed by a call to say he had forgotten to add the labour charge onto his quote? We found this odd as we knew how much the materials were as he had provided a breakdown so we knew that there was a few thousand pounds added onto the quote for the materials which could only have been the labour. When we received the new quote I was speechless. The quote had more than doubled and the labour cost alone was absurd and more than the entire original quote. He told me it would take 4 men 3 full weeks to do our roof which is ridiculous - I had to remind him that he was only actually doing our roof and not our surrounding neighbours. So disappointed and completely shocked at what they were trying to charge us for the labour - the materials were in line with other roofing companies. Never ever recommend them!!!!

I wanted to have a replacement of ageing fascia, soffits and guttering with a reliable UPvC system, the big draw being the thought of no maintenance in the years to come. I have been let down by roofers before, who have promised to come-and two years later I'm still waiting! This is definitely not the case with Ashton Roofing and Building construction. Ringing their number, I immediately felt a difference. I was given a time and date for an inspection of the guttering. This was carried out as promised. A very full report and costing followed and there was always someone on the end of the phone if I had questions. Work was carried out on the date given and the men who came were pleasant even though the weather for part of the time certainly wasn't. They carried out the work requested and cleared up after, even managing not to damage any plants in the garden, although it must have been a bit difficult to avoid them. The end result looks great, looks exactly like what was there before but no peeling paint and potentially rotting wood in years to come. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashton Roofing and Building construction if you want a company that does what it promises to do.

I initially called Ged to looks at leaks in our soffits - a check of the roof pitch and existing tile design was identified as being technically problematic and hence a 35 year old roof needed to be replaced. Ged and team provided a full and detailed quotation/work specification. I was pleased to note that work I suggested doing was discussed but was not necessary. There was no price hiking. The planned work date was kept to schedule (despite a February commencement date), all materials, scaffolding etc was on time. The team worked efficiently to get the job done and I was pleased to see the site tidied as much as reasonable at the end of each day during the works. Ged called during the work to do periodic inspection and to answer any queries we had. A thorough snagging process took place with quick responses to any problems identified. A £1K retainer was provided for by Ged until we were happy with the work. The work involved removing solar panels and another firm supplied and fitted replacements, using the scaffolding already in place. To sum up: honest, decent, knowledgeable, reliable.

This was the second job carried out by Ashton Roofing. They arrived at the arranged time and they were super efficient carrying out the work. All the rubbish was removed at the end of the work as well. I can highly recommend them for roofing, guttering, soffits and facias and for installing steel lintels above doorways.

Found the company through Which? Trusted Traders after another company had let us down failing to get back to us with a quote. Contacted Ashton Roofing by telephone and spoke with someone who was really helpful who arranged for someone to come round and look at the work required. They attended on time as arranged to fit in with my shift work. Two days later, I received a full detailed written quote by letter. The quote was more than I expected it to be but arranged for the work to be completed as I could see from the attention to detail that they would do a Rolls Royce job. The workers came on time, were polite, worked extremely hard despite the poor weather conditions including torrential rain, never complained and remained cheerful. They tidied up each day going above and beyond what I would have expected, even hosing down the garden. I made a mistake ordering the wrong type of flashing for the Velux window they were fitting for us. They arranged to get the correct one the same day and took the wrong one off my hands which I would have had to pay to return. They also completed some additional work without any hesitation. We did not have to pay for anything in advance but received an invoice a few days later which was exactly the figure originally quoted. My dad, being a retired Clerk of Works, inspected their work and can't find fault. We would recommend Ashton Roofing to anyone. Our next door neightbour having seen the work has also asked them for a quote.

Excellent work done to a high standard at the agreed price. Extremely professional from costing the job through to completion of the work. Communication with the office was clear and precise. This job was done at a difficult time due to Covid restrictions but due to the stringent planning and organisation went ahead speedily without a single issue. clean up and removal of the scaffolding and skip was also completed quickly. i would certainly recommend this company if you want to be sure of a good job.

Duration of work matched the agreed timescales (completed early) and ongoing communication throughout, including confirmation on one day that team would not be attending due to poor weather. I am happy with work completed and site left tidier than before work started. Staff attending site professional, reliable and helpful. Small number of tiles on garage damaged by scaffolding - Ashton Roofing staff identified this during the works and resolved it prior to leaving site. Some additional work identified during the work but it was completed within the original quote price. I also valued the final walk around to confirm work completed to my satisfaction.

We can't believe just how good this firm is. Right from the quote to the finished roof everything was done in a professional and efficient way. The quote was detailed and that was what we paid even though some small extras did emerge along the way - they told us what was quoted was what we would pay and that is what happened. The men who replaced our extension roof, even working in some horrible weather, were really skilled and worked speedily and tidily. They did a fantastic job that has been admired by friends and neighbours. I need to say that we had had this roof mended many times by a different firm and continued to have leeks over several years. NOT NOW!! This roof does just what it's supposed to - we're dry - and it has been severely tested over past weeks, which is what I wanted to see before I wrote this review.
