We got quotes from 4 companies for a battery and inverter system to replace our old, small units and to use our existing solar panels. We chose Ask Renewables for a few reasons: their reputation as seen on review sites, their prompt and knowledgeable responses, no hard selling or pressure, and on top of everything else their competitive pricing. Throughout the process everyone we dealt with was courteous and professional, and on the day of installation the team were expert, friendly, respectful and efficient. The job was completed without fuss or mess. The system is working just as expected and I have every confidence that it will continue to do so. Since the installation they have contacted to make sure every aspect is meeting expectations. I would be happy to recommend Ask Renewables to anyone looking for a solar energy system.

We had got quotes from various solar companies, some of which were either extremely expensive, had a real hard sell or just did not even seem to care or do any prior assessment. ASK Renewables were none of these. They were recommended to me by a next door neighbour and going to them was the best decision we ever made. Matt came and just explained everything very clearly and did a complete assessment as to what would be the most ideal setup of panels, batteries and inverter. To our pleasant surprise, this quote was the cheapest quote I had received to date. They do not use cheap equipment at all either. The setup was completed just after 1pm by the installation team who were very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend ASK Renewables to anyone who is thinking of getting solar panels. Don’t bother with anyone else!

I contacted ASK renewables in jan 2025. I also contacted other companies. However this was not the case with ASK. No hard sell which I immediately liked! They were comparable to other quotes! Very competitive pricing. So I had the solar panel installed on 14th Feb 2025. I cannot fault the quality of the service provided. Arrived on the days they said they were coming. Firstly to erect scaffolding. Scaffolding team lovely and considerate. Installation team just as nice and arrived when they were supposed to. Cannot fault this company from start to finish. But it doesn't end there. The after care has been just as good! I'm 2 months on and still get contact from them ensuring my system is running to max capacity. Also when I've contacted them regards changing energy providers and accessing export tariff I always get a reply the same day. Couldn't have had a better experience, I recommend this company 100% and they don't just cover where I live. You will not regret choosing ASK renewables

Ask Renewables have been absolutely professional, organised and clear in all our discussions and dealings. Many companies try to blind you with information about solar energy, ask renewables and in particular Matt Neild made sure the information was clear and accessible. The installation was quick, no fuss and no mess, the post sales support has been phenomenal. I couldn't recommend Ask Renewables highly enough as being best on the market for speed, quality, price and customer support.

Chipping Village Hall in Lancashire investigated getting a solar PV and battery installation in 2024 aided by grant funding. We approached 3 companies and ASK Renewables were by far the most responsive. Matt was willing to estimate the costs/benefits of different numbers of panels and amount of battery storage which none of the other companies was prepared to do. ASK handled the dealings with the DNO and provided lots of information for our planning application. The work was carried out quickly and carefully without impacting our business. We are starting to see the benefits of the installation in the last couple of months particularly. Overall savings on our electricity bills are nearly £900 in 4 months. The price for the installation was very competitive.

After some considerable consultations with Ask we came to the conclusion that a solar system was too expensive as our house would require a full re-roof and is a listed building. One for another time. We settled on a battery only system which Ask came up with a design supply and fit. Great service, impartial advice and very personal service. Customer service has been very impressive with a lovely lady (Sam) having the patience of a saint in helping me fully understand the app software. Great job highly recommended.

From my first call to Ask Renewables, everything has been excellent. The initial survey was very thorough, and Tom knew what to ask. The installation was very smooth, and the ongoing support for the past 2 years has been very helpful.

We were looking to get solar panels fitted at the same time as our 100 year old house was being re-roofed. It's in a conservation area so the details had to be right. Matt sorted out the complexity of fitting solar panels very close to new Velux rooflights, and the installation team worked happily alongside our roofers. All the work was completed in two days and the system is working perfectly to power the new hybrid heat pump system along with the rest of the electrical loads in the house. Many of the financial savings come from changing to a different tariff and charging the batteries when electricity is cheap, and our gas usage is now much much smaller. Matt has been in touch a couple of times since installation to check that everything is working as it should.

The overall experience with the whole team has been and continues to be great. My key contact is Matt, who is extremely knowledge and friendly, and always happy to give advice on the system and support you throughout the installation process and ongoing. Once agreed the price and scheduled installation proceeded as planned and went very smoothly. I would recommend this company to anyone considering installing solar panels and batteries.

I contacted 12 suppliers and Ask were top of the pile on quality, service and peace of mind. I contacted originally 3 years ago and when they came out looking at my roof they said they wouldn't put solar on it until it was retiled due to the condition of my roof, The only ones to point his out, and after getting it replaced (and confirmed that it was past best) I contacted them again as I felt they had my interests above their own. Matt came out we discussed it in detail and they designed me a beast of system. My house is south facing but a suggestion based on mapping to look to have panels north-facing with 98% off on south and 72% on North. Increasing my yield and based on use/saving/export having little impact on the return on investment timings as doubling at install didn't double the price. Battery and Inverter agree. Install was completed perfectly by a crew of hard-working, polite and diligent folks. Sat here typing this on a dull November day pulling half my houses use with the rest from a battery which I charge a cheap rate overnight. So pleased with the quality of the kit. A 12 year Warranty on the invertor and battery with 25 on panels 30 year performance 20 Aiko 455w panels 2 x 5KW Lux Invertors in parallel.(10kw) 2 x Hanchu 5.12Kw batteries (10.24kw) Roll on the summer. From knowing very little about solar, Matt was a source of comfort and part of our journey into the renewable energy world. No questions went unanswered. Matt took the time to explain in detail all aspects of solar energy systems and the various options available to us. He enabled us to work out the pro's and con's of the different configurations and to arrive at a solution that satisfies our current requirements and to allow for growth should we choose to expand. Despite encountering a setback on the day of installation, Ed, Samantha, and Deano worked efficiently to rectify the issue and put us at ease. In our dealings with the entire team at Ask Renewables we found them to be honest, reliable and they operate with integrity. Having now joined the Solar community, we are still very much learning about our power consumption and the most effective configuration of our solar system. Once again, Matt in particular and the whole team have made themselves available to assist with any questions we may have in the aftercare period.

I started looking into obtaining Solar quotes back in May and wasn’t sure where to start. I found Ask Renewables from the Which recommended suppliers. I noticed that Ask had also been in the solar business for a number of years which I found reassuring. I received a number of quotes from well known suppliers and these suppliers were keen for me to sign up that same day. I didn’t feel confident doing this as I wasn’t sure if the quote was right for me and if it would meet my needs. After speaking to a few suppliers who had provided quotes using google maps, I contacted Ask Renewables for a quote. Ask asked what my requirements were and gave an outline price. Ask said a quote could be provided upon completed of site survey. I was impressed because no other supplier had wanted to do a survey unless a deposit was paid. There was no pushy sales pitch from Ask and they were in no rush to get me to commit to an order. Matt from Ask did the site survey and was very knowledgeable in what would meet our requirements, what tariffs we could use and how the system would work. We received the quote which was very competitive. We agreed for Ask to complete the work. The work was completed by two happy installers and instructions were provided on how to use the app and safely turn off the equipment. Ask also setup Agile charging for me. We are also very happy with how the panels look and we decided to only have 8 panels on the front and 10 on the back due to aesthetics.

From the moment Matt came to do the survey I was put at ease. No question went unanswered. He took his time and no pressure to sell, just good practical advice. The install itself was prompt and efficient; all done in a day. Cannot recommend more highly

We decided to invest in solar panels and had 3 quotes, as suggested. We chose Ask Renewables because of A) very detailed survey, assessment and measurement of our roof along with a very detailed explanation of the process by Matt initially B) competitive pricing C) a Which recommended provider D) an established company with a good track record and also E) a friend of ours had used them to fit their solar panels a couple of years ago and were impressed with the fit and products initially but also their ongoing customer service. We made another visit to view their panels before we made our final decision about which company to choose. We have been delighted with the fitting and top quality products used along with the phone app which provides interesting visuals of the energy provided from the panels along with the battery charge etc. The electricians/fitters on the day were pleasant and polite and clearly were very experienced and knew what they were doing. The scaffolders came the day before fitting and the scaffolding has been removed promptly, today, as requested. The communication and support during the fitting by Ed has been exceptional then a follow up call this morning from Matt to check that I am happy with how it is all working and explaining the app and tariffs and how to get the most out of the panels was timed perfectly. I would definitely, whole heartedly, recommend Ask Renewables as a company to fit solar panels.

Ask visited my house and recommended more panels and a larger battery than another company that only looked at the house on google. Although installation took longer than initially planned (hard to fit on an old roof), we were kept informed and the cost did not change. Advice on tarriffs and setup willing given by phone after installation. Very pleased with the result, getting a good return on the investment.

I am extremely please and satisfied with the solar panel and battery installation provided by ASK Renewables. The company were excellent from the time Tom carried out an assessment to the time completed by Deano and the team and managed and updated by Ed. The commitment from all was fantastic throughout and great attitude by all the team in every field from management, engineers and admin. Sam in the office on completion was very quick to apply for all national grid paperwork and also to return to me to enable me to submit my export tariff to my supplier. The quality is evident in their excellent workmanship warranty and TrustMark certification. I would have no hesitation in recommended these guys to install at your property. Deano job was made more difficult as we needed to install in the kitchen. Tom found a suitable location were we had a 600mm wide larder unit and Deano was able to install the converter and batteries all into a 600mm tall larder unit and now it has been refitted you would not know the inverter and the panels where in the kitchen. After refitting the unit I sent Ask remewables the completed photos so you could ask them what the finished install looks like and how well it is hidden

Now 9 months after my install I feel confident enough to review the team at Ask. Renewables I had initially collected a few quotes by searching the internet for local suppliers, who called surveyed and quoted and did not feel reassured enough to proceed. I then discovered Which Trusted Traders as part of my subscription. A quick postcode search gave me some supplier options and some helpful third party reviews Tom did the survey and he provided a comprehensive quote, it was competitive with others I had received and so I decided to proceed with the installation using the Ask team. The process was very smooth from start to finish with scaffolding, roofing install and electrical/IT set up all being completed efficiently. Back office support was also friendly and helpful, expediting the required paperwork. So the results – projected generation has exceeded expectations and the forecast. The system is delivering about 10% ROI (return on investment) and we are currently feeding in enough energy to pay both our gas and electricity bill (including the standing charge) for the last 5 months. As the price of electricity has fallen this has lengthened the original projected payback, but If I had left the money in the bank I would expect 5% max and any tax liability on top. I have had one or two minor questions and the Ask team have been rapid, friendly in their response. So the complete package and would recommend their work to others

There are some companies that you're just lucky to find. Ask Renewables are that company. I first enquired about a solar panel system about 3 years ago and through chance I spoke to Ed Kelly. What strikes you immediately is that Ed doesn't BS you. He just gives the information, provides advice and doesn't push at all. I must have got about 6 or 7 quotes but Ed was the best. He came to my house, properly surveyed (unlike a few who just quote based off Google Maps!), then went away and evaluated the best overall system based on our usage and needs. I didn't go through with the original quote back then for a variety of reasons but fast forward to 2024 and I reconnected with Ed. I asked for an updated proposal and lo and behold, the prices came down (honesty!). When I wanted to proceed, Ed was clear and communicative but also made me aware of the potential challenges with timings and installation. The paperwork was handled with no issues and Ed's team were brilliant. All the way through, Ed was clear and the on site installation team were the friendliest lads you'll ever meet. Ed then came out soon after to finalise all the logins and connections so that my system worked properly and, even when I changed my ISP meaning I had to reconnect to the system, their after sales support has been superb. Notice I haven't even talked about the solar panel system. That's because it works perfectly! Saving £150 a month! Thanks Ed, and the team!

I can't fault this company, in their workmanship and dealing with customers, their value and accurate schedule. From the beginning it was all explained simply, never patronisingly, loft and roof was checked, all details taken, and I was left to contact them if I wanted to. Definitely not a hard sell. I'm not a working person, and don't know about work standards, but I am a fairly fussy person, and their fitting work was neat, tidy, even a quiet radio! What I most appreciated was the way I was told who would contact me next, as they moved between sellers, office and paper work, and the practicalities of scaffolding and fitting. I wasn't once left wondering, and it was clear I was welcome to phone and check anything that I was wondering about. So the result is that I'm often watching a screen and boring my friends, my personal ECO ratings are sky-high and I'm saving money. I'm saving the planet and saving my wallet, what's not to like!

I started out by getting 3 quotes from companies using Tier 1 materials. All came in about the same price so went with Ask renewables on recommendation. Tom called out to see me and designed the scheme. The fitting team of Deano the electrician, his son and Liam the roofer were superb. Really tidy,care to my property and worked well together to complete the work. I install double glazing and I realise it can be difficult to trust a company you don't know. Care of the customer .care of the property and quality are all paramount. You will not be let down by Ask renewables. Thanks to Ed and the team from a higher delighted customer.
