We had 4 panels, battery and inverter installed just over 6weeks ago. The pre-install planning / quote service was thorough and not pushy. The workmen were considerate and polite. After an early misunderstanding some of the initial work had to be repeated which necessitated a short delay to erect additional scaffolding. This was handled very professionally by both the on site team and the company Director, and the work finally completed at no extra cost to us. Given the need to work on the roof, in the attic and down in our cellar, there was potential for a lot of mess- the team were clearly mindful of this and considerate in how to minimise dirt, and left the site clean and tidy on completion. Once installed, we were shown how to use the app and the system, and follow-up paperwork was sent in a timely fashion. Since going live we have contacted ASK on a couple of occasions with queries- on both occasions they have got back to us quickly and answered our questions. Overall we are very happy with the service provided and would highly recommend ASK.

I had been looking into solar for my new home and gathered quotes. Ask Renewables were always my preferred supplier due to the work they had done a couple of years ago for my mum and her neighbour. They didn't disappoint! From the initial phonecall, Matt's onsite visit and quote and then the install by Deeno and team were all very informative, and delivered to a high standard. Matt produced a solution which fit all my requirements and was within budget. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. Since the install I have asked a few questions to get my export contract setup and the response has been so quick and helpful. ASK Renewables were amazing from start to finish. They showed a genuine interest in getting the right system for us and gave us a lot of flexibility to suggest what we wanted. The original quote was thorough and excellent value, and it was trustworthy considering the surveying of the property that went into preparing the quote. Their communication throughout was great. No pressure selling involved, but really quick to respond to questions and queries. Installation was fast and high quality, getting the solar and battery system up and running within half a day, and aftercare was great, including supplying necessary documentation and checking in on how the system is working. I couldn't recommend them anymore as all aspects of this experience have been great.

We were recommended ASK Renewables by our friends who were incredibly happy with their own solar installation. Initially, I wasn’t planning to implement solar myself. I was simply seeking a quote for reference, thinking it wouldn’t be a suitable option for our needs. When Matt arrived to discuss solar with us, I had no intention of making a decision. However, we hit it off immediately. Matt was incredibly knowledgeable and didn’t push us. Instead, he asked all the right questions to gain a thorough understanding of our energy usage. After explaining the various aspects of a solar and battery installation, and providing me with a quote later that day, I was fully convinced. It’s been a month since the installation, which took approximately 5 hours. We couldn’t be happier with the smooth process and the exceptional team. The system works flawlessly, and we’ve reduced our reliance on the grid by about 90%. In fact, the system now indicates that we’re 100% self-sufficient. If you’re considering solar, I highly recommend ASK Renewables. It’s not as expensive as you might think, and they deliver an excellent service.

I had a phone call today from Mat regarding an enquiry I had sent to him about fitting extra solar panels to my system. Matt spent 20 minutes explaining the pros & cons and told me that it was not a viable project for me to go down this route, and the amount of time it would take for me to get my money back was way too long. I would recommend this company to anyone who has any thoughts of installing or buying any solar products, as they are open & honest about everything, which in these days of hard sell is very refreshing.

I am trying to find fault with something in the entire process, from first contacting Ask Renewables, to completion of the solar panel installation. But I can't. The surveyor, Matt, explained everything I wanted to know extremely well, and very patiently, before, during and after installation. Matt remains someone I am happy to know and be able to contact should I need further support - a true professional. The roofer and electricians clearly knew there jobs, completing the install to my complete satisfaction - no fuss, no mess and all done and away in little over half a day. The office team too couldn't have been more efficient, sending me the necessary documents very quickly with clear guidance on what to do with them in order to secure the export tariff. A totally professional team - well done.

From the start of our experience with ASK, the staff made the process from enquiry to installation really easy. They were always on hand to answer any questions and able to explain the various technical processes in an understandable way. We are really happy with the system we've had installed, which fits our needs perfectly, and the ongoing customer service post-installation is second to none.

We tried 3 different PV suppliers and installers. ASK were by far the best. The design was perfect for what we need, and the installation was smooth, efficient and expertly handled. The price was also reasonable (although the main consideration for us was a sensible design for us). The kit they use is modular which allows us to extend/replace in future if needed. I could just tell from the no-nonsense discussions I've had with a few members of the team that they know their stuff, are straight talking and just want to provide an excellent service, providing top quality kit. I would highly recommend.

Throughout the process everyone we dealt with was courteous and professional, and on the day of installation the team were expert, friendly, respectful and efficient. The job was completed without fuss or mess. The system is working just as expected and I have every confidence that it will continue to do so. We had got quotes from various solar companies, some of which were either extremely expensive, had a real hard sell or just did not even seem to care or do any prior assessment. ASK Renewables were none of these. They were recommended to me by a next door neighbour and going to them was the best decision we ever made. Matt came and just explained everything very clearly and did a complete assessment as to what would be the most ideal setup of panels, batteries and inverter. To our pleasant surprise, this quote was the cheapest quote I had received to date. They do not use cheap equipment at all either. The setup was completed just after 1pm by the installation team who were very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend ASK Renewables to anyone who is thinking of getting solar panels. Don’t bother with anyone else!

I contacted ASK renewables in jan 2025. I also contacted other companies. However this was not the case with ASK. No hard sell which I immediately liked! They were comparable to other quotes! Very competitive pricing. So I had the solar panel installed on 14th Feb 2025. I cannot fault the quality of the service provided. Arrived on the days they said they were coming. Firstly to erect scaffolding. Scaffolding team lovely and considerate. Installation team just as nice and arrived when they were supposed to. Cannot fault this company from start to finish. But it doesn't end there. The after care has been just as good! I'm 2 months on and still get contact from them ensuring my system is running to max capacity. Also when I've contacted them regards changing energy providers and accessing export tariff I always get a reply the same day. Couldn't have had a better experience, I recommend this company 100% and they don't just cover where I live. You will not regret choosing ASK renewables

Ask Renewables have been absolutely professional, organised and clear in all our discussions and dealings. Many companies try to blind you with information about solar energy, ask renewables and in particular Matt Neild made sure the information was clear and accessible. The installation was quick, no fuss and no mess, the post sales support has been phenomenal. I couldn't recommend Ask Renewables highly enough as being best on the market for speed, quality, price and customer support.

Chipping Village Hall in Lancashire investigated getting a solar PV and battery installation in 2024 aided by grant funding. We approached 3 companies and ASK Renewables were by far the most responsive. Matt was willing to estimate the costs/benefits of different numbers of panels and amount of battery storage which none of the other companies was prepared to do. ASK handled the dealings with the DNO and provided lots of information for our planning application. The work was carried out quickly and carefully without impacting our business. We are starting to see the benefits of the installation in the last couple of months particularly. Overall savings on our electricity bills are nearly £900 in 4 months. The price for the installation was very competitive.

After some considerable consultations with Ask we came to the conclusion that a solar system was too expensive as our house would require a full re-roof and is a listed building. One for another time. We settled on a battery only system which Ask came up with a design supply and fit. Great service, impartial advice and very personal service. Customer service has been very impressive with a lovely lady (Sam) having the patience of a saint in helping me fully understand the app software. Great job highly recommended.

From my first call to Ask Renewables, everything has been excellent. The initial survey was very thorough, and Tom knew what to ask. The installation was very smooth, and the ongoing support for the past 2 years has been very helpful.

We were looking to get solar panels fitted at the same time as our 100 year old house was being re-roofed. It's in a conservation area so the details had to be right. Matt sorted out the complexity of fitting solar panels very close to new Velux rooflights, and the installation team worked happily alongside our roofers. All the work was completed in two days and the system is working perfectly to power the new hybrid heat pump system along with the rest of the electrical loads in the house. Many of the financial savings come from changing to a different tariff and charging the batteries when electricity is cheap, and our gas usage is now much much smaller. Matt has been in touch a couple of times since installation to check that everything is working as it should.

The overall experience with the whole team has been and continues to be great. I contacted 12 suppliers and Ask were top of the pile on quality, service and peace of mind. I contacted originally 3 years ago and when they came out looking at my roof they said they wouldn't put solar on it until it was retiled due to the condition of my roof, The only ones to point his out, and after getting it replaced (and confirmed that it was past best) I contacted them again as I felt they had my interests above their own. Matt came out we discussed it in detail and they designed me a beast of system. My house is south facing but a suggestion based on mapping to look to have panels north-facing with 98% off on south and 72% on North. Increasing my yield and based on use/saving/export having little impact on the return on investment timings as doubling at install didn't double the price. Battery and Inverter agree. Install was completed perfectly by a crew of hard-working, polite and diligent folks. Sat here typing this on a dull November day pulling half my houses use with the rest from a battery which I charge a cheap rate overnight. So pleased with the quality of the kit. A 12 year Warranty on the invertor and battery with 25 on panels 30 year performance 20 Aiko 455w panels 2 x 5KW Lux Invertors in parallel.(10kw) 2 x Hanchu 5.12Kw batteries (10.24kw) Roll on the summer. From knowing very little about solar, Matt was a source of comfort and part of our journey into the renewable energy world. No questions went unanswered. Matt took the time to explain in detail all aspects of solar energy systems and the various options available to us. He enabled us to work out the pro's and con's of the different configurations and to arrive at a solution that satisfies our current requirements and to allow for growth should we choose to expand. Despite encountering a setback on the day of installation, Ed, Samantha, and Deano worked efficiently to rectify the issue and put us at ease. In our dealings with the entire team at Ask Renewables we found them to be honest, reliable and they operate with integrity. Having now joined the Solar community, we are still very much learning about our power consumption and the most effective configuration of our solar system.
