ASK Renewables were amazing from start to finish. They showed a genuine interest in getting the right system for us and gave us a lot of flexibility to suggest what we wanted. The original quote was thorough and excellent value, and it was trustworthy considering the surveying of the property that went into preparing the quote. Their communication throughout was great. No pressure selling involved, but really quick to respond to questions and queries. Installation was fast and high quality, getting the solar and battery system up and running within half a day, and aftercare was great, including supplying necessary documentation and checking in on how the system is working. I couldn't recommend them anymore as all aspects of this experience have been great.

I had been looking into solar for my new home and gathered quotes. Ask Renewables were always my preferred supplier due to the work they had done a couple of years ago for my mum and her neighbour. They didn't disappoint! From the initial phonecall, Matt's onsite visit and quote and then the install by Deeno and team were all very informative, and delivered to a high standard. Matt produced a solution which fit all my requirements and was within budget. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. Since the install I have asked a few questions to get my export contract setup and the response has been so quick and helpful. I am now addicted to looking at the app and website seeing how self sufficient I am! Many thanks all!

We chose Ask from a friend’s recommendation. We were concerned that our slate roof would create difficulties and render solar panels impracticable. From the outset Matt was supportive. He came and had a look in the loft to confirm our suitability. He led us through the options available and their relative merits. Having a technology background I would have been aware of any attempt at massaging the figures but Matt was excellent in every regard. The quote was received a few days later and we were very pleased at the price quoted. Having accepted the quote there was a delay getting approval from Powergen for the installation. As soon as that came through we were given dates for installation. The install team were terrific. No mess, no beard scratching, just good professional craftsmanship. We have been delighted with the system and been amazed at how little sun gets the system charging. We are very excited at what it will do when we are not in the depths of Winter. We look at the app all the time to see how things are working. Great system, fabulous install team, excellent communications. What’s not to like. Would I recommend them? Unreservedly.

From the initial enquiry through to completion of the installation, it has been a pleasure working with ASK. The installation team (Craig, Josh and Mark) were excellent—friendly, helpful, professional, and tidy. They represented the company exceptionally well. Both Matt and Ed have also been consistently helpful and engaging throughout which was appreciated, as their guidance and recommendations really helped. We are absolutely delighted with the installation and have no hesitation in recommending ASK to our neighbours and friends; we have already spoken to two of them since the work was completed. Chose this company as a Which trusted trader and they have been a real pleasure to deal with from sales to surveying, fitting and follow up. Friendly personal service, explained everything thoroughly (even things we hadn't considered). We decided to go for a slightly more expensive panel with individual inverters which also happened to look slightly better. When the fitters arrived they asked whether we would like a single row as our roof is long and this would look better without affecting the output. We are very pleased with the result and our system immediately starting producing free electricity. Ask Renewables did not require any money up front and that kind of trust is commendable and sadly unusual these days. Exceptional service throughout and thoroughly recommend them without hesitation.

I would not hesitate to recommend ASK Renewables. Outstanding! I contacted multiple companies when searching for a reputable solar installer and ASK Renewables were open, honest and professional from the outset. Even before I had agreed for ASK Renewables to complete the work, Tony and Samantha made me feel like my installation was 'personal' for them. I was not just another customer. Tony designed a bespoke system that would meet our personal needs, not just an 'off-the-shelf' package. He even incorporated my own personal research and preferences regarding solar storage by installing a new battery. The system was installed on time and professionally. The NAPIT & MCS certification arrived within a couple of days. DNO (Distribution Network Operator) approval came through within a 10 working days. Throughout the whole process, both Tony & Samantha were easily contactable via email & telephone. I have already recommended them to a number of neighbours and colleagues. Since our installation 2 weeks ago, we have generated 277KwH of electricity, which would have cost us approximately £43. We have only imported 12.3KwH of electricity, costing less that £2 in 2 weeks! We have exported 146.3KwH to the National Grid, potentially earning us £8. Doesn't sound much, but its better than nothing!

On the day they turned up early and got straight to work. All three of them were very nice and quickly got down to business, which they all seemed very experienced in. The fitted the panels and electrics within the agreed time frame and then we were talked through any questions and paperwork without being rushed. The property was treated with respect and they were very understanding of our pets.

Great experience with Ask renewables. I had solar panels fitted with great service with knowlegable staff from the superstar Samantha as co-ordinator, the fitters who explained the app and sorted out the installation for me with no problems to the guys who did the EPC surveys - spot on! AAA+++

The above company installed the panels today. The three men who installed the panels were friendly, competent and extremely efficient. They left no mess whatsoever and explained in detail how everything worked in terms we could understand, we are both in our seventies and treated us very respectfully. What an excellent team and their company should be very proud of them. Would highly recommend this company. These three deserve a bonus for their outstanding work. Very satisfied.

Excellent service from this company. Scaffolders arrived on time and completed the work very quickly. The two-man team installed the full system in the afternoon. They explained all that I needed to know about how to monitor the new system, which works very well. The installation team were very efficient and thoughtful. Ask Renewable have recently installed a 10 solar panel and two battery system. From the outset, it was clear that they wanted us to have a system that best suited us, with no "hard sell". They were very responsive to our questions and concerns, which were all answered quickly and knowledgably. The whole process was efficient, friendly, polite and professional, from the first visit to discuss requirements and design, the fitters and electrician throughout the installation, and the scaffolders, and there was very little disruption or mess. An excellent service from a family led company that genuinely cares about its customers.

We had 10 solar panels and a 9.5 Kwh battery installed on the 29th September 2023. All working well. We had quotes from 7 companies and Ask renewables were very competitive on price. The whole team -survey , quote, installation and office were a pleasure to deal with . In essence -They provided the most thorough survey and best advice to meet our requirements -There was no hard sell - They did not want an up front deposit - They turned up on the due date and installed the system without a hitch. - The follow up paperwork was properly completed - Post installation advice has been easily accessed. Ask renewables know what they are doing, do it well and provide excellent value.

We had been thinking about solar panels for some time and decided to get some quotes to see if it was feasible on our Victorian, three storey terrace house. We went through Which Trusted Traders as we felt we could trust their reviews. The service and support from Ask Renewables was excellent throughout. Matt took a couple of hours over the survey of the house, checking the roofs of the original house and the modern extension; taking measurements; asking questions. He took us through how the system would work; explained where the inverter and batteries would be housed and answered my many questions. There was no pressurised sales talk which we were grateful for. We both felt this was the company to go with. A date was agreed, scaffolding erected and the team of Alan, Dino and Liam set about doing a super job of installing six panels on the original house and four on the extension. They met the demands of an old house; stone roof flags; solid walls; three storeys at the back and two at the front with cheerfulness and expertise, explaining what they were doing along the way. They were professional, courteous and hard working. Matt even cleared the gutter whilst he was up on the scaffolding. The team tidied up after themselves and the work is neat and unobtrusive. The system has been working for a week now with no problems. We are very pleased with the service received from all members of the team, thank you.

I have had an incredible experience with ASK renewable. The team is very friendly, organised, considerate of my property (and my garden) and did a wonderful job. I was always updated with the work and the coordinator, Samantha was always available to reply to any queries. Efficient service from initial consultation to fitting. Would highly recommend Ask Renewables. The scaffolding was erected and removed with minimum fuss and the fit of the panels was super fast and smooth. Panels working great despite it being November!

We have just had 10 solar panels and 2 battery storage units fitted. Tony visited us as soon as our initial enquiry was made, and made suggestions after we explained what we required. He carried out a comprehensive site survey and then we were sent a detailed quotation covering the units for installation and a prospective return on our capital outlay. After agreeing to the quotation, everything worked like clockwork. All timings and dates for scaffolding and installation were kept to, and Dean and the rest of the installation crew were extremely efficient, polite and only left the site after making sure it was left clean and the system was working as expected. We would definitely recommend ASK Renewables and their installers.

Solar panels and battery fitted in 1 day by a very professional and friendly team. Brilliant service from the first phone call to the switch on as well as calls to check we're happy and if we required any more help with the system. Tony visited after first contact and discussed best options even saving me money from my original request (they were already competitive against other quotes I received). He visited again prior to installation and Samantha has been in touch several times to update and check that we're ok with the work both have helped with the monitoring software. Today's service could not be faulted. From arrival to departure the guys worked their socks off during a very hot afternoon. The team were polite and courteous and willing to answer any questions we had. The electrician took time to help in downloading the app as we struggled, this was really supportive to me. We would have no hesitation in recommending the team to our friends. The service has been outstanding from start to finish.

ASK Renewables supplied & installed a solar PV system together with battery storage at our property. This was a daunting prospect but we needn’t have worried because we were in good hands. From the very first telephone call to completion and beyond they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I fully concur with the many positive comments here, however a couple of items stand out for me. Firstly, out of all the traders I contacted they were the only one that insisted on performing an on-site survey before providing a quote. This caused a slight delay but it was well worth the wait. In my mind this is essential as any unforeseen problems can be uncovered at an early stage and dealt with before the quotation. It also gives you the chance to discuss your requirements face-to-face with the designer and ask as many questions as you like. Secondly, how a trader reacts to an issue that arises after completion and you've parted with your money is key. In our case an issue arose weeks after completion that was not ASK's fault. I phoned them to simply ask for their advice, however I was pleasantly surprised when they immediately offered to send someone out to sort this issue. They were not under any obligation to do this and it is a mark of a truly outstanding company. Finally, when the time came to apply for a SEG tariff with our energy supplier all the necessary certification and documentation had been correctly supplied. We would not hesitate to recommend ASK Renewables to anyone.
