We had decided on a solar and battery installation and began to gather possible contractors to complete the work. It was at this point we found many companies didn’t take into account your needs and just wanting to sell you a product. After contacting 8-10 companies we got ASK Renewables to carry out a survey, they took a completely different approach. They considered our energy usage, reasons for wanting the install then assessed fully our home for installation. Only after this full assessment did they then provide a comprehensive quotation and plan. The decision was then chosen to progress with ASK as they were by far the most professional company contacted. I have a keen eye for electrical installation as I am an Electrical Engineer by profession and they listened to any comments I had and completed a really neat and tidy job within my garage. I have and would recommend ASK to anyone, the kit they have installed is reliable and provides an intuitive platform for interrogating the install. All the team were great from start to finish including handover of documents for enrolling to Octopus Energy Flux tariff.

ASK Renewables provided an excellent service, from the initial contact, through planning, installation and aftercare. They discussed fully what was possible, talked though a number of options, answered questions fully, and were always ready to put our needs first. The installation was carried out very professionally, on time and on budget. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I had 13 solar panels fitted and a 9.6kWh battery. Ask Renewables were competitive on price and every aspect of their customer service was superb, whether pre-installation, the actual installation or post-installation. Everything was done to budget and on time or sooner. Any time I have had cause to contact them since installation their response has been immediate and has solved my query or problem. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

(Disclaimer: we have had to postpone our installation due to unforeseen issues with our roof.) We found Ask Renewables via a friend's recommendation and they immediately stood out from the crowd by beginning with a visit from one of their surveyors to discuss the project and measure up and inspect the state of things. Our surveyor, Matt was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable without being the slightest bit pushy. We had some very specific requirements for what we wanted (we wanted a fully non-internet connected but fully API controllable system) and Matt really took the time to properly understand our needs, in our case spending over two and a half hours with us and much more time refining things afterwards, eventually managing to squeeze far more panels than we had hoped into the space available. They also put in a lot of work to source and research the system which met our needs (which was not something they regularly installed). The final proposal came with substantially more detailed analysis of the shading and potential performance characteristics (along with extremely comprehensive discussion of the details on request) than I have seen from any other provider. To cap it all off, the price was extremely competitive, despite the many bespoke elements of the system. Unfortunately an unlucky roof situation has forced us to postpone our installation for a while but we will absolutely be returning to Ask to do the job.

After deciding to explore Solar PV we used Which? Trusted traders to approach 3 business for a quote. ASK Renewables had a professional approach from the start which made them stand out. Matt was our contact and he took time to listen to our questions and concerns, as well as really getting to understand what we needed for our home. All the technical details were there to back up the product quality. Matt explained everything clearly, with added tips and advice on getting the most from your investment. The price was competitive and Matt gave us confidence that they understood that this is a big financial commitment and there was no pressure to decide anything. Once we did agree to go with ASK they were efficient and met every timescale they set out. The fitters were great, everything was in place in less than a working day and the panels work perfectly. The after sale follow up has been good and we felt assured that we can call on ASK for any advice or issues in the future. Would definitely recommend them.

When we decided to venture into the world of solar panels we decided to use the Which Trusted Trader site to source one of the installers. We chose ASK Renewables as they appeared to have good reviews. This was incorrect, they were excellent. The whole process from first phone call to post installation follow up, was first class. The surveyor was very knowledgeable but explained things so that even I could understand, including the benefit of a battery backed installation. This is what we chose and before we expected it we were contacted with a proposed installation date. The installation team turned up on time and were very professional and courteous. Just after lunch I was explaining to my wife that it would probably take about 2 days to complete, when the electrician was asking for my WIFI password to connect the system to. The system was fully installed and was being finally commissioned. Absolutely brilliant. The inverter and batteries were installed in the loft, and I didn't even know they had been upstairs. Why didn't we do this earlier? We are now benefitting from massively reduced bills and solar energy is meeting our base load most days. Would I recommend ASK Renewables - absolutely, with no hesitation.

From my first call to Ask Renewables, everything has been excellent. The initial survey was very thorough, and Tom knew what to ask. The installation was very smooth, and the ongoing support for the past 2 years has been very helpful.

I contacted ASK renewables in jan 2025. I also contacted other companies. However this was not the case with ASK. No hard sell which I immediately liked! They were comparable to other quotes! Very competitive pricing. So I had the solar panel installed on 14th Feb 2025. I cannot fault the quality of the service provided. Arrived on the days they said they were coming. Firstly to erect scaffolding. Scaffolding team lovely and considerate. Installation team just as nice and arrived when they were supposed to. Cannot fault this company from start to finish. But it doesn't end there. The after care has been just as good! I'm 2 months on and still get contact from them ensuring my system is running to max capacity. Also when I've contacted them regards changing energy providers and accessing export tariff I always get a reply the same day. Couldn't have had a better experience, I recommend this company 100% and they don't just cover where I live. You will not regret choosing ASK renewables

Ask Renewables is a brilliant company and everyone I spoke to or dealt with was well informed helpful and friendly. I had an Initial discussion to look at whether to get solar panels and batteries . Matt took a huge amount of time to explain everything including suitability for me, cost and pay-back calculations , absolutely no pressure to buy. They put scaffolding up early for me so that I could get roof repairs done. They gave me a named operations manager to call if there were problems. Everything was done on the day they said they would do it and everything was cleaned up afterwards. Ops manager came round personally to check everything ok and all cleared up. Most important though, the aftercare is also fantastic and ongoing. The monitoring and programming app was explained, various queries answered ( patiently) . 3 months later when I bought my electric car they made sure my settings adjusted to maximize charging rates benefit. Outstanding customer service and the price was competitive too. A family business which really cares about quality, safety and customer service.

We had our PV system installed in November 2025, and I can’t speak highly enough of the Ask team. From initial conversations with Matt about our needs, to the installation led by Ed and the follow up and support by Sam and the team afterwards, we’ve had an exceptional client experience. Everyone involved with Ask was very knowledgeable about the products and process, and they were keen to ensure we had a PV system that met our needs - the service focused on what we needed and not what they could sell us which was so refreshing. What really separated Ask from the competition was their time investment in getting to know our needs in detail, and explaining clearly how everything worked. We felt valued from day one, and felt like we had an advisor on hand. Our PV system is working fantastically (despite only having it through the winter months) and we’re so happy that we proceeded with our installation. I’d highly recommend Ask Renewables to anyone thinking of getting a PV system installed!!

We used Ask as they were on the Which? recommended list. We were very happy with the price of the panels and fitting and now they are installed they are working well. The whole process was very professional and involved no pressure whatsoever. The initial inspection was done by a technician and a report and quote emailed through a day or so later, there is then no further contact unless you contact them, very professional. The installation was completed in a few hours by two very efficient technicians. We are very happy with the outcome and would recommend the firm to anyone.

Tony and Samantha of Ask Renewables proved excellent service over a period of about a month. The first problem which I had was a faulty RCD which required replacing, the diagnosis was conducted over the phone and a technician was sent within a day of reporting the fault to carry out the repair A few weeks later the inverter which was still under warranty failed. The diagnosis over the phone resulted in Ask Renewables contacting the makers of the inverter for a replacement. This was obtained within 10 days and installed an excellent result. My original installer had gone into liquidations 5 yrs ago

We had a problem with our inverter, contacted Ask Renewables and Tony talked me through checking our system and how to check the inverter for fault codes. I was able to correct the fault with no further action required. Both Samantha and Tony were very polite and efficient. Talk about value for money! No cost, no attempt to big up the problem. I've had 12 solar panels fitted and this company have been amazing right from the beginning. Samantha has kept in regular contact with me, explaining everything in a way I could understand and double-checking I was happy all the way along. We've had plenty of notice when the surveyor was coming, again when the scaffolding was going to be put up and also when the panels were going to be fitted. The 2 chaps who came today to fit the panels and switch us on were lovely, hardworking, polite and very efficient. Despite the uncomfortable hot weather they just did not stop. They then downloaded my app on my phone and explained how it worked. I could not have asked for better from beginning to end and would definitely recommend this company.

Just had a solar panel system fitted. From the first point of contact, all the people I had dealings with were excellent. The 2 guys who fitted the panels were outstanding, incredibly clean, hoovered up after themselves and went out their way to make sure everything was in order. Any questions I had were answered quickly and they left having given a full rundown. 5*

The team turned up and got quickly on with the work. They explained what was to be done and discussed a couple of installation issues. The team covered the stair carpet and (except for one young fellow) looked after my house. Pre and post installation support was excellent.

ASK have been helpful and approachable from start to finish. Sam, who runs the office, contacted me first and explained everything, she was always available to answer questions and replied very promptly to my e:mails. The guys who installed the panels were friendly and professional. Arrived early, did the job, cleaned up and explained everything I needed to know - including the techie bits. I've also got the knowledge that Sam is there should I have any queries. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

A full house survey was done and a system recommended with a detailed quote. Once I accepted the quote a date was agreed for installation. The two fitters arrived mid morning and had completed installation of solar panels, inverter and two batteries by five thirty pm. They explained how the LuxPower app worked which effectively gives a complete picture of what is happening with the system. The system has been running for five weeks with no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend anyone looking for solar installation to use ASK Renewables.
