At the initial survey, Matt asked what system we required and carried out a thorough detailed survey followed by several questions before coming up with the proposal for solar panels plus battery storage. Within the next week, we received a very detailed but easily understood quotation. Matt was aware I was getting additional quotations but did not pressurise us or offer additional ‘incentives’. After obtaining two more quotations I decided to go with Ask Renewables. A date was set for the scaffolding to be erected with the installation taking place the following day. On the day of the installation, a team of two quickly and efficiently installed the solar panels, batteries, inverter and associated equipment. They left by mid-afternoon after tidying everywhere and explaining how to use the app to control the system. I have been very pleased with how the system works and the amount of energy produced by the panels. Everyone I have had contact with from Ask Renewables has been professional and very pleasant and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Found this company following a telephone call to the local Council to clarify planning requirements. My initial contact was with Tony, the owner of the company, a man who truly is an expert in this field of work. After a detailed chat about specifications and outputs he put me in touch with Ed, one of the design and planning team that ASK Renewables have. Ed came to survey the property and talk to my wife and I about what we wanted from the system. A rare find - someone who asks the customer what they want before thrusting what he wants to sell.10 days later we had the fully detailed and very easy to understand quotation with all necessary facts and figures including the total cost of system. I wanted to check out with previous customers and see examples of the work performed and soon had 3 names and address for me to make contact with. In every case ASK Renewables had gained high praise from these customers. A DNO Application was then made, handled by Sam at the office, and within a short space of time we had the go ahead. 10 days later the team were onsite bright and early. Dean led the team and from pulling up on the drive to the system being fully operational by mid afternoon the 3 technicians works with care and showed their expertise in all aspects of the fitting. They left but not before every inch of the patio and garage had been swept and tidied. 5 weeks on we are making significant savings, on many days being Grid Neutral, what is not to like.

We appreciated ASK's way of doing business. They sent a locally-based surveyor (Tom) to talk to us about what might work best for our needs. No pushy salesman tactics, just practical advice and an idea of the costs & benefits involved. This was followed by a professional written quote, setting out in detail exactly what ASK recommended, with all the technical specs. When we decided to proceed, no payment was required until the installation was completed & working. Dealing with ASK during the planning & installation was easy. Most contact was with Sam at head office, who responded promptly and solved any queries or concerns. The 20 panel installation was carried out in one day, by a cheerful, hardworking team. I went up on the roof and in the loft several times during the work, because I was interested and wanted to be confident of the quality. I observed conscientious, careful practice - taking the extra time to run a cable neatly, or to ensure a fixing was secure. Before they left I was given a briefing on the basics and set up with the management app on my phone. We later received a smart folder with all the system manuals, safety certificates and warranty information, etc. Four weeks later, our expectations have been fully met and more. Even at this time of year, the system has provided 62% of all our electricity. Between Apr-Sep we'll be self-sufficient, selling surplus energy back to the grid. The system will pay for itself in about 5yrs.

Sam and Tom are an amazing team dedicated to bringing renewables into our reach. They had time to answer questions and were clear in their explanations. There was no pressure selling at all - just good clear information. They installed solar panels with a battery back up on two of our properties with as much disruption as a cat sleeping in front of a warm fire! Their aftercare is also first class and one of their experts, Tony, put on a brilliant face-to-face education session on understanding the online monitoring of the performance of the panels as well as explaining how to get the best value from them. when it comes to solar panels don't ask for anyone else, ask renewables.

Ask renewables have just installed solar panels and batteries for our bungalow. The whole process from start to finish was handled in a highly professional way and with no pressurised selling. The initial survey by Ed was very informative and all aspects explained clearly. The quote and projections were comprehensive and delivered quickly with a very competitive price. All queries were answered quickly either by Ed or Sam in the office. The installation was carried out without hassle and with no mess, The electrician and roofers were courteous and helpful. It is too early to comment on the financial implications but I have no doubt that these will live up to expectations.

Really impressed with Ask Renewables Ltd. From the initial consultation with the surveyor Matt to the erection of scaffolding and solar panel installation by a lovely bunch of guys. Advantages of having this company install your solar panels: 1) No salesmen - everything was explained very clearly and concisely 2) No pressure selling - I didn't have to make a decision on the day in order to get a discount on the price. 3) Free surveyor visit - this was the only company that sent a surveyor out to look at my house, the roof, in the loft and take all relevant measurements and make suitable recommendations. 4) Quoted price was the sale price - there was no negotiating as this price was very competitive compared to other companies that I received quotes from. 5) No deposit required - again (unlike the other companies) they asked for no payment until the work had been completed and I was completely satisfied. 6) Full payment not requested immediately after install - the company monitored the solar pv system remotely for a week to check for any potential teething problems before they requested payment. 7) No immediate install - I had to wait up to 45 days before the panels could be fitted due to them requesting permission for the install of a higher power inverter. This meant that I can use more of the energy generated rather than exporting it to the grid. Customer service provided by Sam and Tony was second to none and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We have had a solar panel installation recently completed by ASK Renewables. The service provided has been excellent from start to finish. We obtained a number of quotes, but we chose ASK because they provided a thorough survey before we made any commitment and took time to explain how the system works and more importantly to listen to what we were looking for. It was clear throughout the process that not only the survey team but the admin side and installers have a clear understanding of panel installation and functioning. The survey suggested a certain configuration, but on install, the installation team suggested one panel be moved for greater efficiency. The installation was carried out smoothly, efficiently and on schedule. The team took time to explain how the app works, which we spend lots of time checking. We have now had the system for two months and we are delighted with the results and even over these winter days we are almost self sufficient in electric power. ASK provided a thoroughly exceptional and professional service. We would and already have recommended them.

The project was completed much quicker and the output potential of the panels is better than I had been led to expect by other suppliers. The work was done very competently and very tidy. The system design for panels and battery was well adapted to the property situation and close monitoring has shown a January result of covering 53% of my electricity usage (including car charging).

The job is done and works well. I have a house which faces South but the roof is awkward due to a dormer window and a gable end. One solar panel company said it was impossible to mount panels on my roof because of its shape. The daughter of my partner used ASK to install panels on the roof of her new house and they were impressed. So I used ASK and they installed eight panels, very neatly and professionally, together with two large batteries in my loft. The installation worked like a charm and was completed in one day for the agreed price. We are very glad we chose Ask Renewables to provide our solar power system. We sought a number of quotes, and found it hard to decide which systems and providers to use. A number of factors tipped us toward Ask, and we are glad we made the choice we did. Firstly, Matt provided a very thorough survey. We were comforted by the trouble he took to really look over our property and help us choose the right system configuration for us. He was careful, kind, listened, and did not pressurise us at all. We were especially pleased to be able to afford a system with a modular battery storage, that allowed us to get the storage we wanted at a price that was reasonable compared to some other systems. Second, Sam in the office is fab and was good at keeping us updated on GNO applications, dates and the like. Third, the installers did a lovely job. They were polite, again listened to what we thought re location of equipment, and we felt safe in their hands. Fourth, Sam was good at post-installation liaison, Tony took us through the online portals and monitoring carefully, and we are confident that if we need help, they will provide it. We had one part that needed changing after a minor installation issue, and this was done quickly, well and transparently. Overall, the team came across as honest, careful, and trustworthy. We felt they listened to us and helped us choose and design the system we wanted. I'm confident that if we need after-sales service, they will deliver this too.

I was also so impressed with the after sales support from Samantha in sorting out the paperwork for G99 letter of authority. The system installed is working well and generating power as planned. I phoned ASK Renewables Ltd to ask advice and get a quote for a battery to store electricity from our solar panels. Despite finding out that the company did not cover our area Samantha was more than happy to share her knowledge and expertise with us. She was so kind and even sent an email with further useful information. We now feel in a much better position to make an informed decision about what we need to purchase. It was also most reassuring to note how much any after sales support was stressed to be available, if it be needed. The effectiveness of the generation will need to be assessed after 12 months of operation, but I am optimistic. I can recommend this company without reservation.

We had solar panels and a battery installed on our house. We received a visit from one of Ask's surveyors who was great at talking through options, giving us different ideas, and we felt he was really honest about the benefits and drawbacks of the system. We were offered an installation date within a few weeks and this was stuck to with the installers arriving promptly. The team were polite and tidy and left behind a really neat job. The electrician also talked us through the basics of how to use the app to monitor our electricity. Following the installation we received all the paperwork we needed within around a week and then had a detailed video call with the owner of the firm to talk through the software and data in more detail, so we can monitor and maximise the benefit from the system. Ask also monitor the system for any errors on a daily basis so this provides reassurance. For somebody who knows a little, but not a lot, about how these systems work, everything was clear and the company were very helpful. We're very happy with the outputs from our system particularly considering we are in one of the darkest months of the year! We contacted a couple of traders for quotes and Ask seemed in line with the market rate. We have been recommending them to friends and family already!

Five start service every step of the way! Everything was communicated in a professional and friendly manner. The install team were amazing, and even though it started raining heavily in the afternoon, they went the extra mile to ensure everything was finished, and especially that I was happy with everything before they left. The after service has been great too, with training in the software provided over teams. Sam and Tony run a great company, can't thank them enough.

I cannot recommend Ask Renewables highly enough. Everything about their service is first class & nothing is a trouble to them at all. Plus everyone I spoke to was so friendly & really keen to make sure everything went like clockwork, which it did. Nothing more I can say really!

ASK Renewables installed an array of solar panels on my roof, along with a battery and inverter inside my house. From first to last they have been brilliant, going the extra mile at all times. When I first contacted them, they were too busy to take the job immediately, but took the time to phone me, talk through the details of what I wanted and answer every question I could think of. When they were ready to take the job they sent a surveyor (not a salesman as other companies did) who was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I never felt under any pressure (as, again, I did with other companies). They took the time to plan the project properly and cost it out for me, it wasn't a back-of-an-envelope deal. The work was done promptly and punctually, I was kept informed at all times, and everyone I came into contact with was friendly, helpful, respectful, and hardworking. The actual job took under a day to complete, and I couldn't be happier. The ASK Renewables team is still available at the end of the phone and have been wonderfully patient and supportive as I get used to the system. To add to all that, the price was more reasonable than anything I was offered by any other company. I'd recommend them to anyone - in fact I have been recommending them to friends already. They're an excellent company.

This company was very responsive right through from initial contact to job completion. The surveyor visited promptly, talked us through what they could provide and answered all of our many questions. We subsequently received a detailed quotation complete with illustrations, calculations and data sheets. We were kept informed during the process, and appointments were kept. All of the personnel involved on site; scaffolders, panel installers and electrician were pleasant, careful and obliging. We have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Excellent service from this company. Scaffolders arrived on time and completed the work very quickly. The two-man team installed the full system in the afternoon. They explained all that I needed to know about how to monitor the new system, which works very well. The installation team were very efficient and thoughtful. Would recommend this company to anyone in Yorkshire seeking a solar panel system.

We'd been looking into getting solar panels for a while and were a bit overwhelmed with all of the info out there. We'd been targeted by a few Facebook ads and had some awful experiences trying to get reasonable quotes, with massive variety around the figures and some really unscrupulous sales people - one who refused to give us a quote until we'd completed a 90 min sales pitch and committed to taking it up unseen (!) We nearly gave up, but then checked Which? for renewables providers with the highest ratings and found Ask Renewables. It's been a different experience entirely. No pressure, in fact, the person who quoted us said that we'd find the info useful to take with us to get other quotes. They've been clear, explained everything brilliantly to us as complete novices, and the work was completed to a high standard and efficiently. They were there when they said they would be and all is up and running brilliantly! We're so impressed that I've asked them to get in touch with my dad to quote him too. Would definitely recommend without reservations.

I have been looking at solar for a few years. Anthony phoned me back after my enquiry and asked a few additional questions. He then provided me with a competitive quote. We had further questions which we received prompt responses for. I was kept updated with updates with my G99 application as it was a 5KW system. The scaffolders came 2 days beforehand to install and were very clean and polite. The roofers arrived on the day and double all checked details before starting the installation. The electrician arrived to complete the install. The scaffolding remained for a further 7 days. Samantha phoned to check all was working as expected. Answered my further questions with the phone app. Samantha walked me through all web site details as they were slightly better than the phone app. This was a really easy process. I will complete a review of my usage and battery storage in the April next year. They are good firm run well and very helpful. If you are thinking about solar get in touch.
