Anthony and his team came to fit social energy pv to our garage roof today. From start to finish they were polite, explained everything clearly and left everywhere tidy ( even taking away rubbish left by other tradesman we’d had the day before!) With the ethos of ‘Never a problem, only a solution!’ you can’t go wrong! Excellent work and will definitely recommend to anyone wanting to save on electricity bills! Thanks again.

The engineers arrived on site and started to get on with the work straight away. The electrician and one of the installer went up into the loft to check it out and discovered some damp spots on the roof. It turned out that we had some cracked tiles. He said not to worry about it as he would sort it out. He went out and checked the tiles then went to get some new ones for no charge to us. In the meantime the electrician was fitting the equipment in the loft.After the new tiles were fitted the solar panels were fitted . The work was completed and we were shown how to set up my iPad to check the system. I have to say how we were impressed how they all worked to get the work done . Very pleased with everything.

Survey done on date agreed for solar installation, loads of advice around optimal number of panels and batteries etc... installation on agreed day, scaffolding put up the previous working day - by a couple of capable and polite lads. Ben the spark was brilliant adapting some bits of my roof space to make a super neat job. installers on the roof Mark and Rob were really helpful and diligent, did a great job and had it done by mid afternoon, system up and running really swiftly with mobile app to help run the system, followed by a telephone tutorial a couple of days later to optimise the system. Not often i bother to do a review but this company was outstanding and i would completely recommend them from start to finish.

We are very glad we chose Ask Renewables to provide our solar power system. We sought a number of quotes, and found it hard to decide which systems and providers to use. A number of factors tipped us toward Ask, and we are glad we made the choice we did. Firstly, Matt provided a very thorough survey. We were comforted by the trouble he took to really look over our property and help us choose the right system configuration for us. He was careful, kind, listened, and did not pressurise us at all. We were especially pleased to be able to afford a system with a modular battery storage, that allowed us to get the storage we wanted at a price that was reasonable compared to some other systems. Second, Sam in the office is fab and was good at keeping us updated on GNO applications, dates and the like. Third, the installers did a lovely job. They were polite, again listened to what we thought re location of equipment, and we felt safe in their hands. Fourth, Sam was good at post-installation liaison, Tony took us through the online portals and monitoring carefully, and we are confident that if we need help, they will provide it. We had one part that needed changing after a minor installation issue, and this was done quickly, well and transparently. Overall, the team came across as honest, careful, and trustworthy. We felt they listened to us and helped us choose and design the system we wanted. I'm confident that if we need after-sales service, they will deliver this too.

We have just had a solar panel installation completed by Ask Renewables. The service provided has been excellent from start to finish. We were very impressed with the initial house survey and specifications provided by Matt who provided us with detailed plans for the proposed system. This includes two batteries in order for us to store some of the generated energy for later use when required. Having accepted the quotation we were kept fully up to date with the subsequent plans for our installation. Samantha proved to be both very efficient and very personable. Apart from one slight problem, due to freezing temperatures and snowfall, the installation was carried out very smoothly with minimal fuss and disruption. We are delighted with the results and the system subsequently appears to be running very efficiently. We have drawn great confidence with the team from Ask Renewables and feel confident that should we need any further guidance and support they will be there to provide it. In summary, Ask have provided an exceptional service and I would thoroughly recommend them, without reservation, to anyone considering solar panel installation in the near future.

We appreciated ASK's way of doing business. They sent a locally-based surveyor (Tom) to talk to us about what might work best for our needs. No pushy salesman tactics, just practical advice and an idea of the costs & benefits involved. This was followed by a professional written quote, setting out in detail exactly what ASK recommended, with all the technical specs. When we decided to proceed, no payment was required until the installation was completed & working. Dealing with ASK during the planning & installation was easy. Most contact was with Sam at head office, who responded promptly and solved any queries or concerns. The 20 panel installation was carried out in one day, by a cheerful, hardworking team. I went up on the roof and in the loft several times during the work, because I was interested and wanted to be confident of the quality. I observed conscientious, careful practice - taking the extra time to run a cable neatly, or to ensure a fixing was secure. Before they left I was given a briefing on the basics and set up with the management app on my phone. We later received a smart folder with all the system manuals, safety certificates and warranty information, etc. Four weeks later, our expectations have been fully met and more. Even at this time of year, the system has provided 62% of all our electricity. Between Apr-Sep we'll be self-sufficient, selling surplus energy back to the grid. The system will pay for itself in about 5yrs.

We had a visit from Neil on 23/01/23. He was very knowledgeable about the products and what we could realistically expect. He then did a very thorough job surveying our property, checking roof trusses, and possible position of the battery. A week later we received a very comprehensive quote and paperwork tailored to our property giving very clear breakdowns of what each component contributes to the system. Once we committed to the quote things moved very fast. There were no costs paid up front. Scaffolding arrived on Monday 13th February and the panels were fitted on Thursday 16th February. The fitters were very careful and respectful of the property and the fitting was completed in a single morning. We were set up with an app to monitor the panel’s production and the battery. Ask renewables monitored the solar yield to ensure all was working correctly before they sent out the invoice for the full payment. All the paperwork arrived a couple of weeks later and that enabled us to contact our energy provider to sell our excess energy to the grid. The whole process from start to finish was so easy. All the permissions were obtained by Ask on our behalf and we did not have to get involved. The company was very easy to contact and exceptionally knowledgeable about everything to do with the process from start to finish. We are so delighted with the company and the service they provided we recommended them to a friend who has also had panels fitted by Ask.

Shortly following my contact with Ask Renewables, their assessor Matt rang to make an appointment to visit my property. He was polite, friendly, and very informative, in a manner which I could understand as a non-technical person. He did detailed measurements regarding the best place for panels to be placed and gave me full information regarding what I could expect from installation of a solar system - panels, inverter and two batteries - currently and over subsequent years. Matt then left his card and gave me time to consider everything with no pressure at all. Printed information followed shortly through the post, so that I could clearly see what had been discussed. I was free to ring Matt at any time to clarify anything I did not fully understand. He answered everything fully and clearly. Having decided to employ them, I was passed to Ed who was responsible for overseeing installation. He was equally approachable and helpful. The guys who installed the system were great, efficient and tidy. Samantha in the office was also great, giving me more helpful information, and I didn’t have to pay a penny until everything was installed and working to my satisfaction.

Can I just say what a pleasure it has been to do business with the company. Tom who came to do the quote - took plenty of time, was very knowledgeable and personable, answered all my queries and dealt with my email queries promptly even at weekends with no sales pressure whatsoever. The scaffolders were nice lads and the fitters Rob and Mark and the electrician Ben were all very nice and hard working. They enjoyed their work, were very professional, did a great job and didn't seem to mind getting absolutely soaked through doing the fitting in the pouring rain. The panels are generating plenty of electricity including enough for charging my car. I can appreciate why they are a Which Trusted Trader.

Ask renewables have just installed solar panels and batteries for our bungalow. The whole process from start to finish was handled in a highly professional way and with no pressurised selling. The initial survey by Ed was very informative and all aspects explained clearly. The quote and projections were comprehensive and delivered quickly with a very competitive price. All queries were answered quickly either by Ed or Sam in the office. The installation was carried out without hassle and with no mess, The electrician and roofers were courteous and helpful. It is too early to comment on the financial implications but I have no doubt that these will live up to expectations.

Ask Renewables was recommended by my brother who recently had a Solar system installed by them. Tom came round to do a survey and subsequently provided me a quote. Absolutely no pressure selling and I considered the price good value. On acceptance of the quote the office called to arrange a suitable installation date. Scaffolding was delivered a couple of days in advance to allow my builder to move some bathroom extraction vents from the roof. Installation was smooth and the electrician was very accommodating by taking time to route solar panel cables via a void in the house wall. Karyn and Samantha, in the office, were very quick and helpful processing the relevant documents. I am over the moon with the installation. 6kW panels and 12kWh battery storage. Even in December with low sun, the panels can generate well beyond 3kW. Batteries can also be fully charged using the cheaper Octopus Flux night-time rate. Then I use the batteries to help power the house through the day. I highly recommend Ask Renewables. A great company to do business with.

There are some companies that you're just lucky to find. Ask Renewables are that company. I first enquired about a solar panel system about 3 years ago and through chance I spoke to Ed Kelly. What strikes you immediately is that Ed doesn't BS you. He just gives the information, provides advice and doesn't push at all. I must have got about 6 or 7 quotes but Ed was the best. He came to my house, properly surveyed (unlike a few who just quote based off Google Maps!), then went away and evaluated the best overall system based on our usage and needs. I didn't go through with the original quote back then for a variety of reasons but fast forward to 2024 and I reconnected with Ed. I asked for an updated proposal and lo and behold, the prices came down (honesty!). When I wanted to proceed, Ed was clear and communicative but also made me aware of the potential challenges with timings and installation. The paperwork was handled with no issues and Ed's team were brilliant. All the way through, Ed was clear and the on site installation team were the friendliest lads you'll ever meet. Ed then came out soon after to finalise all the logins and connections so that my system worked properly and, even when I changed my ISP meaning I had to reconnect to the system, their after sales support has been superb. Notice I haven't even talked about the solar panel system. That's because it works perfectly! Saving £150 a month! Thanks Ed, and the team!

From start to finish I have been impressed by the service we have received. Matt from Sales was very thorough & patient when explaining the process & options. The work was booked in and happened quickly. We asked to make a change to battery location after installation and the team were happy to come and make the change. Then Sam has been super helpful talking through the portal and all the technical details. All in all very happy!

I contacted 12 suppliers and Ask were top of the pile on quality, service and peace of mind. I contacted originally 3 years ago and when they came out looking at my roof they said they wouldn't put solar on it until it was retiled due to the condition of my roof, The only ones to point his out, and after getting it replaced (and confirmed that it was past best) I contacted them again as I felt they had my interests above their own. Matt came out we discussed it in detail and they designed me a beast of system. My house is south facing but a suggestion based on mapping to look to have panels north-facing with 98% off on south and 72% on North. Increasing my yield and based on use/saving/export having little impact on the return on investment timings as doubling at install didn't double the price. Battery and Inverter agree. Install was completed perfectly by a crew of hard-working, polite and diligent folks. Sat here typing this on a dull November day pulling half my houses use with the rest from a battery which I charge a cheap rate overnight. So pleased with the quality of the kit. A 12 year Warranty on the invertor and battery with 25 on panels 30 year performance 20 Aiko 455w panels 2 x 5KW Lux Invertors in parallel.(10kw) 2 x Hanchu 5.12Kw batteries (10.24kw) Roll on the summer. We decided to invest in solar panels and had 3 quotes, as suggested. We chose Ask Renewables because of A) very detailed survey, assessment and measurement of our roof along with a very detailed explanation of the process by Matt initially B) competitive pricing C) a Which recommended provider D) an established company with a good track record and also E) a friend of ours had used them to fit their solar panels a couple of years ago and were impressed with the fit and products initially but also their ongoing customer service. We made another visit to view their panels before we made our final decision about which company to choose. We have been delighted with the fitting and top quality products used along with the phone app which provides interesting visuals of the energy provided from the panels along with the battery charge etc. The electricians/fitters on the day were pleasant and polite and clearly were very experienced and knew what they were doing. The scaffolders came the day before fitting and the scaffolding has been removed promptly, today, as requested. The communication and support during the fitting by Ed has been exceptional then a follow up call this morning from Matt to check that I am happy with how it is all working and explaining the app and tariffs and how to get the most out of the panels was timed perfectly. I would definitely, whole heartedly, recommend Ask Renewables as a company to fit solar panels.
