I phoned ASK Renewables Ltd to ask advice and get a quote for a battery to store electricity from our solar panels. Despite finding out that the company did not cover our area Samantha was more than happy to share her knowledge and expertise with us. She was so kind and even sent an email with further useful information. We now feel in a much better position to make an informed decision about what we need to purchase. It's just a shame we can't buy this from ASK Renewables. Thank you so much Samantha.

The project was completed much quicker and the output potential of the panels is better than I had been led to expect by other suppliers. The work was done very competently and very tidy. The system design for panels and battery was well adapted to the property situation and close monitoring has shown a January result of covering 53% of my electricity usage (including car charging).

The job is done and works well. I have a house which faces South but the roof is awkward due to a dormer window and a gable end. One solar panel company said it was impossible to mount panels on my roof because of its shape. The daughter of my partner used ASK to install panels on the roof of her new house and they were impressed. So I used ASK and they installed eight panels, very neatly and professionally, together with two large batteries in my loft. The installation worked like a charm and was completed in one day for the agreed price. I must commend Samantha, the office person, who provided a first class service and was a valuable information source for me. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We did our homework and approached five firms: Ask Renewables was the most impressive from the start. From the initial survey and consultation with Tom there was absolutely no pressure selling and the focus was on how a solar panel system would work for us. Tom was very generous with his time, his home visit gave us a clear understanding of the installation procedure and answered all our questions. His attention to detail and transparency was both impressive and refreshing e.g. compliance with any planning regulations; realistic predictions of solar output. He emphasised that no deposit was required and payment would be on completion of the work.The price was remarkably competitive! We had absolute confidence in proceeding with Ask Renewables. The speed and efficiency of installation was exemplary. The scaffolders and installers , Dino(electrician),Liam and Alan(roofers) all arrived promptly. They were friendly, polite, and respected our property— lovely guys! Within a few hours the system was installed and Dino advised us on the use of iPad and mobile ‘phone apps to monitor the system. The follow-up/customer care with Tom, Sam and Karen (admin’ support) is excellent. Tom and Sam have been in touch for help and advice, and to check our system is functioning efficiently.We thank them for their patience. We have no hesitation in recommending Ask Renewables.

Investment in solar is significant, so it's important to find the right company and people to do the job, but it can be difficult. I had several quotes, but I felt there were trust and confidence issues with many, whether it was pushy salesmen just trying to get their commission or people who would confuse me with waffle and tell me anything just to get my signature. I had many questions spinning around in my head that just weren’t being addressed. After putting it off several times and nearly giving up, I thought I’d give it another go and found Ask Renewables. On first contact with Tony, it just felt right. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns clearly without confusing me with jargon. The quote was extremely competitive, I’d been quoted thousands more with other companies for about the same specifications. Communication with Ask was excellent and I was kept informed at every stage of the process. The lads who came to do the job were polite, friendly and very efficient and completed everything in no time. I can’t recommend this company enough. If you are looking into having a solar system installed get in touch with them before you go anywhere else, you might save yourself a lot of time shopping around.

Recently had solar panels and batteries installed by Ask Renewables. The installation was completed as scheduled with no issues at all, most impressed with the tradesmen who did the work and would recommend. Antony went to some trouble to research the equipment we wanted, which was different from what I imagine most users ask for, where other suppliers told us it wasn't possible. Top marks all around.

I contacted this company after reading the excellent Which reviews that were universally positive and even though they were outside my immediate geographical location. The initial contact was professional and efficient and was pleased to hear that they carried out an in person house survey to establish suitability and discuss requirements. At no point in the process was there any pressure selling, which I found very refreshing. Matt carried out a full survey of my house and spent an appreciable amount of time discussing my requirements and queries. He was professional, knowledgeable and treated my house with respect. I finally agreed to have 12 Solar panels and took up the option of extra battery storage and a larger inverter. The resultant competitive quotation was as expected and installation took place around one month after the survey. The installation happened on the agreed date, with scaffolding erected a few days before. Two men worked on the roof, whilst an electrician ensured a safe and tidy installation of the batteries, inverter etc in the garage. The whole job was completed in the morning to a high standard. The installation team were polite, tidy, friendly and efficient. The company did not want a deposit and full payment was only required a week after installation to ensure that the system was working properly. Matt was happy to help me with any subsequent queries. I found the whole process to be excellent and would highly recommend this company.

We had our Solar Panel system installed by Ask Renewables Ltd a few weeks ago and we have nothing but praise for the company. We are extremely pleased with Ask Renewables Ltd in the way they conducted themselves from start to finish. The whole process was handled with due care and attention in a very professional and courteous manner: from Sam in the office who handled all the logistics and paperwork; Matt who came to visit our house and design a suitable system for our needs; the solar panel installers (Mark and Rob) who did a great job fitting the panels as agreed; the electrician Ben who got it all fitted, connected and working seamlessly; the scaffolders, who were also polite and friendly. The whole process was handled well by everyone with no pressure tactics to make decisions quickly. I was impressed that we did not have to pay anything upfront and in fact, full payment was only paid when we were happy with the system fully up and running at the end. The app that was installed on our phone is extremely useful to monitor the system and also helps to see what electricity is being generated/used etc. All in all, I would highly recommend Ask Renewables Ltd if you are looking for a Solar Panel system to be installed on your premises as they did an excellent job with ours. They are also a ‘Which Trusted Trader’ which you can check on the appropriate website.

I have had a 14 panel system fitted with 2 batteries and 6 optimisers. In addition I have had bird guards fitted on the panels as well as some plug points to the batteries. The service has been brilliant. I got a personal visit to my property for a proper assessment of what would be best and loads of time spent with me. I was not chased too much for a sale and took a few weeks to discuss, research and get the best set up and deal for me. Install was quick and efficient and the help from the ASK team on everything including tariffs and operating the system has been first class.

Ask Renewables was the 3rd company that we approached to fit solar panels on our house and I am so glad that we choose them after 2 failed attempts with other contractors. I can’t praise them enough. They checked what we wanted and what we needed; they listened before drawing up a plan. The plan was excellent and exceptionally well-priced. The installation was smooth and timely, they literally worked around a garden full of honeybees. I couldn’t quite believe that after more than two years of trying we had solar panels and an effective battery system. The system links with our current energy providers solar tariff and we have already seen our electricity bills cut by a good 70%. On the few sunny days since the installation in February we have seen our 9Kwh battery full before midday and even on the frequent dull days the power has covered most of our household usage. The real bonus is that our system contributes to the grid, every bit helps to make the UK greener! The company deserves its “Which Best Trader” listing. It is rare to find such kindness, efficiency and competitiveness all in one company.

Having obtained three quotes to install solar panels on the south facing roof of our bungalow, plus battery storage, I feel compelled to give an update for those considering their options/installers. One of the companies we spoke with shone (no pun) from the start - Ask Renewables. Their first contact was great, the surveyor actually knew his stuff (unlike one company that used Google Earth to quote...) and their price was competitive. The only thing they got wrong was their calculation for Return on Investment - it was way too pessimistic! We are currently in winter, heating on (heat pump installation in the pipeline), and our Direct Debit to Octopus Energy is £1 per month having built up a large export credit during the summer. We are still exploring energy on the sunnier days, and with smart tariffs we can earn more than we pay. Did I mention we also run an EV? The point of this review is to give a big shout out to the team at Ask Renewables Ltd, they guided us on our solar journey without any sales pressure (unlike the other companies we spoke with) and, as someone with experience with tradesmen, their team were polite, skilled and efficient. I'm utterly confident that, in the unlikely event we have an issue, Ask Renewables will be there. I should point out that our system consisted of 20 x 400w panels on a south facing roof which, for our three bedroom bungalow is a lot, hence our amazing results. My tip? Fit as many panels as you can from the start.

Ask renewables were recommended to us from someone who had used them for their solar panel system. We did have a number of other quotes from elsewhere however when Tom called we were very pleased with how much time he spent explaining everything to us. Due to unforeseen circumstances at our end there was a delay before we got round to going ahead and Tom happily called back to go over things again. He has also rung up after the installation to see we are getting the best from it and is giving us a call next month. Certainly good aftercare service. The installation process when smoothly and the two guys worked together doing an excellent job. They left the place clean and very tidy having done an amazing neat job.. They explained everything we needed to know and set up the app for us. The office staff also did a great job regarding following up with any necessary paperwork. I can't fault this company, in their workmanship and dealing with customers, their value and accurate schedule. From the beginning it was all explained simply, never patronisingly, loft and roof was checked, all details taken, and I was left to contact them if I wanted to. Definitely not a hard sell. I'm not a working person, and don't know about work standards, but I am a fairly fussy person, and their fitting work was neat, tidy, even a quiet radio! What I most appreciated was the way I was told who would contact me next, as they moved between sellers, office and paper work, and the practicalities of scaffolding and fitting. I wasn't once left wondering, and it was clear I was welcome to phone and check anything that I was wondering about. So the result is that I'm often watching a screen and boring my friends, my personal ECO ratings are sky-high and I'm saving money. I'm saving the planet and saving my wallet, what's not to like!

I started looking into obtaining Solar quotes back in May and wasn’t sure where to start. I found Ask Renewables from the Which recommended suppliers. I noticed that Ask had also been in the solar business for a number of years which I found reassuring. I received a number of quotes from well known suppliers and these suppliers were keen for me to sign up that same day. I didn’t feel confident doing this as I wasn’t sure if the quote was right for me and if it would meet my needs. After speaking to a few suppliers who had provided quotes using google maps, I contacted Ask Renewables for a quote. Ask asked what my requirements were and gave an outline price. Ask said a quote could be provided upon completed of site survey. I was impressed because no other supplier had wanted to do a survey unless a deposit was paid. There was no pushy sales pitch from Ask and they were in no rush to get me to commit to an order. Matt from Ask did the site survey and was very knowledgeable in what would meet our requirements, what tariffs we could use and how the system would work. We received the quote which was very competitive. We agreed for Ask to complete the work. The work was completed by two happy installers and instructions were provided on how to use the app and safely turn off the equipment. Ask also setup Agile charging for me. We are also very happy with how the panels look and we decided to only have 8 panels on the front and 10 on the back due to aesthetics.

We had 4 panels, battery and inverter installed just over 6weeks ago. The pre-install planning / quote service was thorough and not pushy. The workmen were considerate and polite. After an early misunderstanding some of the initial work had to be repeated which necessitated a short delay to erect additional scaffolding. This was handled very professionally by both the on site team and the company Director, and the work finally completed at no extra cost to us. Given the need to work on the roof, in the attic and down in our cellar, there was potential for a lot of mess- the team were clearly mindful of this and considerate in how to minimise dirt, and left the site clean and tidy on completion. Once installed, we were shown how to use the app and the system, and follow-up paperwork was sent in a timely fashion. Since going live we have contacted ASK on a couple of occasions with queries- on both occasions they have got back to us quickly and answered our questions. Overall we are very happy with the service provided and would highly recommend ASK.

I am trying to find fault with something in the entire process, from first contacting Ask Renewables, to completion of the solar panel installation. But I can't. The surveyor, Matt, explained everything I wanted to know extremely well, and very patiently, before, during and after installation. Matt remains someone I am happy to know and be able to contact should I need further support - a true professional. The roofer and electricians clearly knew there jobs, completing the install to my complete satisfaction - no fuss, no mess and all done and away in little over half a day. The office team too couldn't have been more efficient, sending me the necessary documents very quickly with clear guidance on what to do with them in order to secure the export tariff. A totally professional team - well done.

We had got quotes from various solar companies, some of which were either extremely expensive, had a real hard sell or just did not even seem to care or do any prior assessment. ASK Renewables were none of these. They were recommended to me by a next door neighbour and going to them was the best decision we ever made. Matt came and just explained everything very clearly and did a complete assessment as to what would be the most ideal setup of panels, batteries and inverter. To our pleasant surprise, this quote was the cheapest quote I had received to date. They do not use cheap equipment at all either. The setup was completed just after 1pm by the installation team who were very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend ASK Renewables to anyone who is thinking of getting solar panels. Don’t bother with anyone else!

After some considerable consultations with Ask we came to the conclusion that a solar system was too expensive as our house would require a full re-roof and is a listed building. One for another time. We settled on a battery only system which Ask came up with a design supply and fit. Great service, impartial advice and very personal service. Customer service has been very impressive with a lovely lady (Sam) having the patience of a saint in helping me fully understand the app software. Great job highly recommended.

Matt came and spent a considerable amount of time with us going through our options and explaining in detail what to expect and answering our many questions. We had several quotes of differing prices, we went with the Company with the knowledge and expertise not the chespest. We accepted the quote and waited for all the propsals to go through dealt with by Ask. The scaffolding went up on the 12th and the installation on the 14th. Such a profesional neat and tidy job with friendly installers. My husband was shown all the logistical bits as I was out lol! We know we can contact Matt with any further questions if needed. No money up front either, pay on completion. A smooth perfect job worth 5 stars and more. Thank you Ask, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We wanted to look into a solar panel system, so we approached several companies for surveys. Our decision to use ASK RENEWABLES (Matt) was based on a detailed value for money survey, and the knowledge that Matt had as he answered all the question's for us to make an informed decision to proceed to installation. The installation team were professional & courteous & completed the install on the arranged date. Any questions that we had were answered concisely & satisfactorily. Matt & ASK have checked in with us to see how we are managing with the system & though it is early days we are highly delighted. We would 100% recommend this company.

Ask Renewables fitted our solar system in May 25 and it it now Jan 26, so it's a good time to look back. Everyone in the company seems to be an expert in their field. Matt initially did a remote feasibility assessment and followed this up with a visit and produced a detailed report. There was no pressure and he stressed that we would not be chased for a decision. I requested additional panels, extra batteries and bird guards. The report was quickly amended. The price seemed competitive. Scaffolding was fitted and the installers arrived a few days later. They were polite, quick, efficient and clearly highly experienced. We were soon saving money on our bills and exporting electricity to the grid. We have just paid our first joint electricity/gas bill since May, and this mostly due to winter gas usage. Great company, great products and impressive planning and installation.

Informative initial interview. Installation happened quickly on the day arranged with scaffolding erection organised by Ask. Pleasant and hard working installers. Good communication from the company throughout with follow up enquiries from them after completion of installation. The company representative was always available and contactable for information. One of our three batteries failed soon after installation but was promptly replaced. My neighbour has had solar panels fitted by Ask and we would not hesitate to recommend them.
