AST use refurbished Acorn stairlifts, which cuts down the cost dramatically. We had ours installed on a rental basis for a year, and then bought it at a fair price. The company is friendly and helpful, to the point of using the design of an official Acorn quote to build it when they were unsure of the best way to cover our awkward stairs.

We decided to install a chairlift for my elderly father, We obtained 3 quotations with options for rental, refurbished, and new lifts. AST were very good with answering the enquiry with clear direct answers to our questions. Their engineer did the survey and provided their quotation. We selected a new lift . After further clarifications we agreed to proceed with the installation work which was carried out within one week of agreement. The same engineer who did the survey did the installation which was a straight forward straight chairlift. The installation work was 2-3 hours work. The engineer was punctual , efficient, clean and did a very good work with the installation and also the clear demonstrations. The lift operation is smooth and easy to operate with good safety features. We are left a hard copy of the operators manual and warranty details. We have all the numbers for call out if it is required in the future. For my father this has been a big help for his abilities to negotiate the stairs. We are happy to recommend AST services based upon our experience so far.

We were recommend by a friend who had been impressed with AST. From the first phone call we had an engineer out the next day to assess our property. Tadious explained the options to us and we rang the following day to order our stairlift. 5 days later the lift was installed.
