Asterisk Maintenance have been creating and installing beautiful bathrooms and carrying out general maintenance in Birmingham and Solihull since 1994.
All of our fitters have extremely high standards of plumbing, plastering, tiling and general building maintenance we also have our own in house gas engineers and electricians.

If you require emergency repairs within any of our covered areas we offer a 24 hour service 7 days a week.

We are members of IKBBI, gas safe, napit, trust mark, age UK and are also safe contractor accredited.

I was really impressed with how fast Asterisk Maintenance gave me an appointment to fit an electric shower. The engineer was very friendly, efficient and left everything tidy. All round, a great job. It seemed fairly expensive at £400 for a replacement shower, but I was very happy with the service so I guess you get what you pay for!

Asterisk fitted a shower enclosure and tray in our bathroom also an outdoor tap. Both jobs were done with excellent results. The fitters were polite and carried out the work in the time estimated. We would recommend this company and would be happy to use them in the future.

I have been searching for a while for a trusted company to support me in out repairs on my Mum's house as I live far away. I found Asterisk's details on Age UK website and contacted them to repair the damage in the bathroom. The owner Jon contacted me after they had inspected the bathroom and explained the extent of the work which was needed. The team replaced the entire bathroom and repaired the leaking roof. They were polite, professional and skilled. I was kept updated on progress and was sent photographs of problem areas which needed addressing. The work was to a high standard and the bathroom is breathtakingly beautiful. My Mum is happy and that is what matters. I will be engaging Asterisk again to carry out further repairs on the house and I fully recommend them. They are honest trades people who take pride in their work. Jon and his team are outstanding.

Very pleased with our new bathroom. The old room was completely stripped out, walls taken back to brick and completely replaced to an exceptional standard. Superb service by the 2 fitters. I would recommend this company without reservation.

A colleague recommended this company and they came out within 2hrs of my call. It could have been hard to trace as affecting one side of house without tripping the main circuit. Courteous engineer systematically traced wires through loft and under floorboards and found and fixed problem within the hour and as it was an hourly rate this was brilliant. Others may have conned us into extra time. Would definitely recommend. A call was received the following day to check all was good.

Asterisk replaced a faulty electric shower for me. Their plumber arrived promptly on the agreed day, and completed the work quickly and efficiently for a very competitive price. I received a follow up call from the company the following day to ensure that everything had been done to my satisfaction. Excellent service from start to finish.

We lost all of our electrics on Boxing Day afternoon and Asterisk were able to send an electrician who arrived within the stated time slot, as it was Bank Holiday rates, he was very aware of how expensive it was and he managed to isolate the fault and get us up and running in the hour. He left us having done a very good job and with full power. We were very pleased.

Having been burnt before it’s always been difficult for me to trust in any company or tradesmen when using them for the first time. I’m not the easiest person to please however Asterisk have far exceeded my expectations and delivered an amazing bathroom in my home. The nicest guys with a high level of expertise in all discaplins. Any questions or concerns were dealt with instantly by the office and the guys on site and at no point have I been left hanging waiting for a response. The only problem I do foresee is that I’m now going to be fighting with the family to use the new shower!!! (lol) I would happily use Asterisk again and recommend them highly.

Cancelled appointment at last minute due to sickness, subsequent appointment gas engineer arrives and advises he is only here to fit new pump, not the service which I asked for by email and so a further appointment is required. Ask for an emergency visit as the boiler starts leaking, and was promised a visit after 5 pm, no visit or phone call to explain. I would not recommend this company and have paid the extra to use the large national company.

we were originally contacted on the 18/10/2017 with a request to fit a new pump at your property, this was booked in with you for the 24/10/2017, this appointment was then rearranged with you for an out of hours appointment. after the pump was fitted there was a request for a gas service and some plumbing work, we attended a further 2 times on confirmed appointments and there was nobody home for attendance on the confirmed times, upon the 3rd visit (again a confirmed appointment) our operative attended, there was somebody home but he was not granted access as we were told by the person present that you had already had the work carried out with a different company but had not bothered to inform us of this to cancel your appointment. We do think that the fact that you are now going out of your way to damage our companies good reputation is unacceptable, you have wasted our time on 3 occasions when other people may have wanted to use those appointment slots to resolve emergencies in their own properties, we have not even charged for the failed appointments. this review is nonsense

Asterisk Maintenance turned our dreary under stairs cupboard into a light, airy and modern downstairs toilet. They have made the most of the small space. The job was completed to a high standard and was completed on time. Workmen were professional and punctual and tidy.

The job was plastering 3 ceilings (1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms). The workmen were prompt, very professional, knew exactly what was needed and did a near perfect job. I also had an electrician supply new plug and fit and replace 2 ceiling lights.
