Based in Rainford, ATB Plumbing and Heating prides itself on quality workmanship as well as attention to detail. No job too big or too small so we are happy to fix your leaking tap or install your new boiler. Alec came initially to review my requirements. He provided a written estimate which was very acceptable. We agreed an installation date. He arrived on that date and carried out the installation of the boiler. I cannot fault his work in any way. He instructed me in the operation of the boiler to my satisfaction. Left me with all manuals and instructions for the boiler. He left the site clean and tidy.

Alex was called on the Friday and serviced my boiler the following Monday. He respects your property by putting plastic covers on his shoes, makes sure all work that is done is left clean, and does a great job explaining things that may need doing in the future. He is also very friendly and efficient.

He arrived within a couple of hours of our telephone call, despite it being at the weekend, and soon diagnosed and fixed the problem. A blackbird fell down our chimney and was trapped behind the housing for our gas fire. Because of Alex's workload he wasn't sure whether he could get out to service my boiler for approximately three weeks. However, he texted me about 10 days later to say he had a last-minute cancellation and he was out the next day. Alec was friendly, professional, asked exactly what our requirements were and worked quickly and efficiently. I would definitely call on his services again.

Everything was fully explained before and after the work was carried out. Prepared the area to keep it clean and cleaned up thoroughly after completion. Suggested alternatives. Fitted a carbon monoxide alarm at no extra charge. I would have no hesitation in using this trader for future work, for example servicing of the boiler.

Alec has carried out work for me previously: fitting a plinth heater, moving some central heating pipes, fitting a radiator, fitting a hive for thermostat and connecting a range cooker. On this latest visit, Alec plumbed in my kitchen sink and tap. As usual, Alec’s work is spot on. He is quick and efficient. He is pleasant, courteous and takes great pride in his work. Our usual engineer had been unresponsive, and we saw ATB van in our road yesterday and agreed they would call this morning to service boiler. How lucky we were, as they provided a thorough review and gave several tips to improve performance. Alec and his colleague arrived on time to service our boiler. He was really friendly and explained what he was doing, he also checked my gas cooker which he didn't need to do but that put my mind at rest that the hob was safe. He was very professional and tidy and his prices are very good as well. I would definitely recommend and will be contacting him same time next year unless we need him before then that is.

I take pleasure in recommending ATB for both efficiency and determination to get my boiler going during this freezing cold spell. As a disabled pensioner living alone without heat or hot water, they went out of their way to get the necessary parts which were then fitted immediately upon receipt. Alec kept in touch with me throughout, updating me as to when the part would arrive and, since having it fixed, he has been in touch to check everything is OK. Alec and his son deserve the highest accolade and I would advise anybody with a plumbing or heating problem to give them a ring, you won't be disappointed.
