I own an Audi A4 which was registered in 2008 and has 190000 miles on the clock. For about 2 years I have had a sooty and burning smell inside and outside of the car. I have asked 3 different garages to try to diagnose and repair the car which I have had serviced every 10000 miles and have looked after. I contacted Autocraft to discuss whether a terraclean procedure might solve my problem. I spoke with Lynne who seemed very knowledgable and suggested that I should take my car into their premises to allow them to attempt to diagnose the problem before committing to a terraclean procedure which is quite expensive. I took my car into the garage where a computer test and smoke test were carried out by obviously expert engineers. Neither of the procedures detected the problem, so they carried out further examinations on the ramp. They established that there was an issue with the exhaust system that required a replacement part . I have very little knowledge of cars but was advised of the problem that existed. I left my car at the garage overnight and picked it up the following day. There is a huge improvement in the performance of the car and the smell of smoke and exhaust fumes has disappeared. I am very happy with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Autocraft to anyone who is looking for first class service and great customer service.
