About
Established in 2003, Avant Garde has treated hundreds of properties across the South East, including domestic, commercial and historical buildings. Treatments for woodworm, dry rot and rising damp have been carried out successfully, with no signs of re-infestation.
We hold full membership with Sovereign Chemicals, the gold standard in building products, and are governed by their strict requirements as to the quality of workmanship and materials used on all our contracts. Work completed by us will be guaranteed in accordance with our specialist reports, supplied to each client after our initial visit.

Damp Proofing and treatment for woodworm
Ben and his team provided a realistic and competitive quotation against others received to undertake damp proof treatment to lower level rooms in a property built in 1893. He took the time to explain carefully the work being suggested, the materials to be used and how these would be effective in treating the damp issues that existed. The work was completed to the schedule that was stated. The team were very diligent in their preparation of the area, covering floors and furniture to ensure no damage was done as they worked. There was good communication and explanation as the work progressed. Very happy with the work done. Thanks Ben and your colleagues! Much appreciated.

A damp survey was conducted thoroughly in the course of which we gained good advice. This was followed by a by a comprehensive report containing all the advice and more. We needed some work done so that our damp course could work; we also needed some internal work which involved stripping back one internal wall and re-plastering it. The work was carried out efficiently and to a good standard. We feel that our damp problem has been comprehensively and professionally dealt with. Communication was excellent, queries were immediately responded to.

Ben came out and completed a review and very comprehensive report quickly and thoroughly, explaining the issues clearly and the work that needed to be completed. Avant Garde was able to start the job soon after this and completed the work well, quickly, and on time. The work was completed nearly 2 years ago and we have had no issues since.

Great Work completed on tight timetable
We had a couple of companies quote for the damp work that needed to be done as part of our kitchen remodelling. Ben from Avant Garde explained everything clearly and provided a detailed report. The quoted price was very competitive and Ben was able to work with us to get the job scheduled and completed on time and as promised. We were happy with the team (they were polite, friendly and tidy) and we have no reservations in recommending Avant Garde Damp Solutions to others.

Replacing rendering around windows

I am very pleased at the works carried out AG Damp Solution Ltd to replace the rendering and pebbledash that had cracked and let rain in around the windows at my property. The works was done as agreed an on time. The workmen were punctual, efficient, considerate to my needs and very tidy. I have found the above company to be very professional and easy to deal with before, during and after completion of the work, and I would highly recommend them.

Thorough, honest and professional survey - highly recommend
We received a damp survey by an alternative damp specialist company. Ben's Avant Garde survey was in a completely different league. From meeting Ben in person for the survey it is clear he is highly knowledgeable and honest. His objective was not to maximise the quote for Avant Garde but rather to set out clearly the issues and risks identified as well as those which should be monitored but do not require immediate action. The subsequent report provided was very detailed which was highly informative in enabling us to understand his recommendations and proceed confidently to book in the work. We are very grateful to Ben for saving us a huge sum compared to the less personalised and less specialised assessment from a competitor.

Ben and his team came to my rescue when I was let down by another company 4 days before they were due to start work on the damp at my house. Ben provided a very comprehensive report and the work which started 4 days ahead of schedule followed the recommended treatment of the walls exactly as per the report. The work was completed to a very high standard and I am more than happy wth the finished result. I found Ben and his team to be very hard working, (hardly ever stopped for breaks), considerate and polite. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Avant Guarde Damp Solutions. Should also mention Chrissy in the office who was super efficient in dealing with reports, payments and general email correspondence. Thank you to a great team.
