We didn’t know what we wanted but Paul helped us with recommendations. He did all the sourcing and ordering, and did his best to find the most cost effective option. AW Fencing & Driveways Ltd quoted me for replacement fencing at my back garden. The quote was reasonable and the job was agreed. Paul and his co worker arrived as planned and completed the work by lunchtime. The work was done really well and the fencing is of high standard so it should last a long time. They left the site clean and tidy for both myself and my neighbour, taking all the old panels away. Paul has just replaced the 2nd of our boundary fences and we would have no hesitation in using him again - although this is unlikely to happen for a long time as he does such an excellent job. This wasn't the easiest of jobs and I could go into the detail but the end result would be the same - Paul is recommended 100%

We had an area of old , discoloured chippings alongside our main driveway and we asked Paul to come and quote for replacing it . He delivered a detailed estimate the next day and later brought a sample of the proposed chippings to make sure we were happy. Last week he arrived as arranged with a small excavator to remove the previous surface , flattened it and laid a weed suppressing membrane before covering it with Cotswold chippings. He was friendly, polite and we are delighted with the result. We would certainly recommend him .

A W Fencing and Driveways Ltd renewed the fencing at the bottom of my garden along the top of the river bank. This was double-thickness chain link fencing being attached to concrete uprights already in place, sunk into the bank. The bank has mature shrubs and plants in situ. As quoted, the two guys did a really great job, quick and efficient: they took away the old fencing and left the area clean and smart. Very efficient and very polite. They also fitted a bannister rail for me to enable me easier access up and down the steps to the bottom of my garden. Just wonderful to be able to get down there again and look at the river and its life.

The pergola in our back garden was in a sorry state. Paul did a first-rate job restoring it. He is very knowledgeable and skillful. He is tidy and kept us informed about the progress of the work. We would thoroughly recommend this tradesman.

This trader used on earlier occasion and came recommended by relative. Fence replacement carried out a day earlier than expected. Site left tidy with all debris removed. very good communications.

This was a job requiring fencing panels and a large patio area. All work was completed quickly and to the highest professional standard. Nothing was too much trouble and great care was talked to protect the surrounding work area from damage and disruption. Everything was left clean and tidy after the work was completed. I have used Paul several times for fencing and driveway work. On this occasion he replaced a section of rotting sleeper wall (not installed by him!), replaced a gate post, and relaid some block paving. As always, he did an excellent job and cleaned up at the end of each day. Highly recommended.

Paul from AW Fencing and Driveways repaired two patios for me, one last year and one this week, re-laying existing slabs on a full bed of wet sand and cement mix. Because of the high quality of the first, I chose Paul to do the second patio too. He arrived on time, did a very good job and cleared up well afterwards. We have used Paul at AW fencing several times to replace storm damaged fencing panels. On previous occasions he has suppied the materials but on this last piece of work we bought the panels/posts and he installed them for us. As before, the work was done well, completed in the agreed time-scales. and Paul's attention to detail was appreciated. He also made sure that the garden work area was tidied up efficiently, taking away the old rotten fencing. We are very pleased with the results, and will use him again.

We have used AW Fencing for several jobs over the years and have always been very satisfied. This time they replaced a garden archway and added a new gate with the arch, the gate being custom made. At the other side of the house they fitted a new gate with associated paneling to fill in the gap completely. The quality of work is always good, the price is always reasonable and you always get what was promised. Paul had to delay the start by a day because of the weather. He didn't just ring to tell us, he called in person to explain. By the standards of most contractors we have used over the years, this is quite exceptional. If you want a good, reliable service at a fair price, use this company.

This is the third time we have used this company for fencing and would not consider using anyone else. Paul does a great job using top quality materials and excellent workmanship. Having used this firm before we knew we would be getting a good job. It was a professional job, they arrived on time, got on with the job and cleared up after themselves. We had a large run of fencing erected and they dealt with some unexpected problems in a good and professional manner.

Paul and his assistant re-layed about 70 paving slabs at the back of the house which had become uneven after 20 years' use. They did the work very thoroughly (I don't expect the slabs to move again in the next 20 years!) and I will be asking them to do the same to more paving at the side of the house next year when I hope the supply problems with materials that Paul had this year will have gone away. Paul has done other work for me - reinforcing fence posts and fitting a new gate, all to his usual high standard.

The fence looks great, tidied up well on finishing the job. There were some supply problems with posts and panels, but we were kept informed about this. Work on the day was done efficiently and we will be having them back to do paving and new shed. Definitely recommend.

Paul replaced a fence in my garden. While a straightforward job (concrete posts, gravel boards and arched panels), Paul's attention to detail and quality of work was excellent. I would have no recommendation in recommending Paul (and in fact have already asked him to quote for a pergola).

We appointed AW Fencing to undertake an awkward fencing job at the back of my property, which involved a gradient change and mixed ownership. Earth and weeds were constantly slipping into my garden, and my old fence was falling apart and leaning. The team deconstructed the complex mess and replaced it with a very smart and robust sleeper retaining wall and 6ft fence. We needed two fence panels removing and gates installing so we could get our caravan in the garden. The ground was leveled both sides. Really pleased. This is the second time we have used Paul and would not consider using anyone else.

I have no hesitation in recommending Paul. He has just completed a difficult, large piece of fencing work for me. He provided a clear, detailed quote after a site visit, and even made a second, separate visit to show me a piece of fencing so I could make up my mind as to exactly what type and colour of fencing I wanted. As the work was actually being carried out Paul encountered a couple of practical problems, but he discussed his proposed solutions with me before he went ahead and dealt with them. Despite Covid and a lot of problems which that brought, he delivered on time and according to the quote. The invoice was delivered by hand the following day. Both Paul and his colleague were polite, pleasant to deal with and I knew I could trust them to do a really good job.

I had a long driveway redone and expanded with a patio style set of paving stones in front of the house with the drainage rerouted and tarmac for the main drive. It wasn’t cheap, but was very well finished and looks great. When I later asked for some additional work to be done by dropping the kerb, for which I had historical planning permission, I was only charged for the kerb materials, and not the labour. Paul and his colleague were courteous and helpful with suggestions as to how to make it work (I have a shared drive). I was given helpful advice on what would and wouldn’t work for the property. I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them for a quality service.

This is the second time we have used A W Fencing and Driveways and as ever, Paul’s work is of the highest standard. He recently installed a pair of large timber access gates and they fit perfectly. He is punctual, easy to contact and very efficient with supplying written quotations. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

He arrived on time at the agreed date to start work and discussed any variations made necessary due to supply issues caused by CV19. Paul and his colleague installed rain channel grates to divert rain water away from my bungalow walls. He also removed the old timber edgings along my garden lawn, and installed new ones for me.
