We have been recognised as approved contractors by Triton Chemicals for many years, which is in recognition of our reputation as being experienced, professional and reliable and providers of accurate and highly detailed surveys. This, in turn, allows us to be members of The Triton Users Guarantee Company, providing us with the facility to offer insurance backed guarantees to supplement our own company guarantee.

Brian Barker provided an excellent service. He was able to disassemble our kitchen units, remove radiator, hack off defective plaster, inject damp proofing and put everything back in good order. He also cut a trench around the kitchen exterior to prevent the damp problem recurring. Hard working, conscientious and very professional, I cannot recommend Brian highly enough.

I was very happy with the quality of Brian’s damp proofing work (he treated 3 rooms for dry rot) and would highly recommend him. He was meticulous in his approach to the damp proofing process and I was very satisfied with the outcome. His charge was very reasonable, and even though the work was found to be more extensive than he first thought, he did not increase the charge.

Brian diagnosed the damp problem in our semi-basement very thoroughly. We thought the quote was reasonable compared to a couple of others. The work was carried out to a very high standard with the prescribed industry standard treatment, on time and within budget. Brian does all the work himself and with the occasional cup of coffee he works his socks off to get the work done. Mess was kept to a minimum with a thorough cleanup every day. Brian impressed us by coming round twice after a few weeks to test whether the new plaster had dried out sufficiently to paint. He has extensive building work knowledge and experience. He’s a pleasure to have around.

We had rising damp in the corner of a living room, where the wall structure is quite complicated. I chose Brian because of his reviews on Which Trusted Traders, and was not disappointed. He did an excellent job, hacking back to the Edwardian brick, injecting, and restoring everything to a perfect finish. He left everything clean and dust-free. Brian is very pleasant to have around, he turned up at the arranged times, and his final bill was as estimated on his first visit. He was also very helpful about a damp issue in a garden building. I recommend him highly.

We had a problem with damp in one of our bedrooms, which two previous builders had tried to fix but the problem always came back. Brian worked out straight away that it was rising damp caused by an inadequate damp course. He stripped the affected walls, put in the right damp course and replastered the walls. He worked extremely hard and completed the work quickly and efficiently. He is very pleasant to have around and although the work which needed to be done was quite significant, he took care to cause as little disruption as possible. He always came when he said he would and his rate was very reasonable. Six months later there is still no sign of damp and we are very happy.

Brian fitted us in for a survey on a Bank Holiday as we were about to go away. He explained what was required and his quote was straightforward, addressing the specific problem rather than adding all sorts of other things as other companies had done, and the price very reasonable. During the job he was extremely considerate and worked very efficiently and neatly, making the whole process much less disruptive than we thought it would be. He also managed to save the skirting boards, refitting them at the end. We are really pleased with Brian’s work and would highly recommend him.

Mr. Barker came to rectify damp issues in my house. He injected the areas and plastered everything. There are very few damp proofers that will take off the radiators and skirting boards and reinstall them. Mr. Barker was very helpful, polite and well mannered. He left the place tidy. His rates were competitive and he worked tirelessly. I am happy to recommend him.

Brian came to investigate some damp in our downstairs cloakroom. He quickly found the cause which was a leak behind a plasterboard wall. Once that was fixed and everything had dried out, he replaced the plasterboard and made everything good including redecoration. It was all done to a very high standard and he cleaned up meticulously. His work was also very reasonably priced.

Finding good tradespeople in London can be a nightmare at the best of times, but we certainly found a very good one in Brian. His quote was competitive and he completed the work thoroughly and meticulously on two extremely warm days, going over and beyond what he said he would do.
