We have just had our decrepit old patio replace by this company. This is the third time we have used them and find them reliable, honest, cost-effective and pleasant to deal with. When finding a good builder like this, why go elsewhere. He helped us chose the paving, surrounding wall materials and coping stones and his men completed the job efficiently and were more than helpful in shifting benches and pot plants to other locations whilst they carried out the work, clearing up perfectly after they finished each day ending in a perfect new patio.

We had some re-rendering undertaken in an awkward to reach position. Gary Mitchell of Balance and Co has considerable experience of building trades and coordinated the scaffolding and rendering well and ensured that the workmen took care to protect other parts of the building and were respectful of our home. Gary was helpful and easily contactable throughout. We might have got a cheaper price to complete the work from elsewhere but I am pleased that we chose him for this work because of the knowledge, experience and integrity that he demonstrated.

Excellent job providing professional advice to select and procure three new internal hardwood doors and fittings and then replace and dispose of three existing doors in a timely manner. On completion, Garry and his team left everything clean and tidy and I think were as pleased as us with the finished result.

We have had various work done by Balance over the past year+ covering plastering, electrical, plumbing, decorating, fencing and decking. Nothing is ever a bother and Gary and all the team are professional, friendly and always punctual. I would not hesitate to recommend Gary and Balance & Co, and already have plans for the bathroom renovation next year. I found Balance & Company via a Checkatrade leaflet posted through my door. By coincidence a neighbour had recently used them. They provided a prompt estimate, booked a date and carried out the work on schedule. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. The job site was kept tidy and cleaned before they left. The tradesman were polite and efficient and worked hard throughout the day. I am very happy with the standard of work and would not hesitate to use this company again. From my experience they can be thoroughly recommended.

Total exterior upgrade to the house including gutters and fascias. Also replaced and modernised our last century kitchen to an up-to-date gem. Commissioned work done across the summer. High-quality workmanship by experts. Costs are always managed and discussed. Gary has an eye for evaluating just what will provide the best value and that is something special. The new porcelain floor in the kitchen spotlights to the ceiling and exterior night lights are all pleasing to the eye and add value. Couldn't be happier with the work done and the transformation of a shabby property into something I feel prouder to exhibit.

We were very pleased with the work carried out by Balance & Co. We had a detailed quote before the job commenced and once accepted the work started without delay. The work was carried out in a professional and efficient manner, the builders were competent and friendly, and the site was left in a tidy condition when the job was completed. Any small problems were dealt with immediately and satisfactorily.

The work was to fill in the inspection pit that had partially collapsed. They professionally reviewed the damaged pit and detailed the required work (draining the pit, filling it with hardcore and topping with concrete). The work was carried out in a professional manner and the site was left tidy. The staff were amiable and fitted into our situation. This was the second time that we had used them and were not disappointed.

We had a house fire causing heat damage and a lot of smoke damage. Gary assessed the damage and provided a very clear explanation of the work that would be required, and produced a detailed and competitive quote for the proposed works that was accepted by the insurance company. Gary and the guys that did the work were very friendly and the work itself was completed to a high standard, and we were delighted with it. Best of all, the quote provided was very accurate, and the work was completed very swiftly. I would be very happy to use them again and recommend them to others!

The whole team from start to finish were a joy to do business with. We knew exactly what we wanted and everything was agreed upfront before they started. Our bathroom my most houses it’s quiet small but we had big ideas to make this a luxury bathroom on a small budget. We were given alternative ideas and the fact we were ordering our suite from another supplier didn’t faze them at all, they just worked around the delivery times. Hayden arrived and although young in appearance worked like a steam train on full chat, he never stopped except to have the occasional drink. He was extremely respectful , helpful and a delight to have around what he did on any given day mattered. Tidiness was a key word for him. The plastering and pipe re-routing, and ceiling re-modelling was done by Haydon & Chas & Dave (gercha) yes I know but these guys were very entertaining and just so professional and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble they answered my questions and when I ordered the wrong toilet they explained why and help me obtain the wrong one which was cheaper than the one I had previously ordered. The whole job from start to finish was done in the most professional way extremely tidy and knowledgeable team. I recommend this company wholeheartedly.

I have just had my 2 bedroomed flat fully redecorated including en-suite, bathroom & long hall. Was totally impressed by everything - turning up on time to quote for job & quote by email received following day. The date was agreed & a very helpful decorator turned up to do the job & completed it in the time given - no mean feat as the building lift was out of order during the duration & as I am on 3rd floor meant a lot of carrying up & down. He was excellent all round moving furniture & taking curtains up & down as well as fixing two nasty cracks in the wall & doing an excellent job of the painting.
