Plastering, decorating, flooring, plumbing and work on guttering were all completed to a high standard by friendly, skilled workmen. Budget and schedule were kept to. I wholeheartedly recommend this trader.

Render repairing and painting. Doors and plinth painting. Replacement of airbrick. Repair door seal. Great to be able to discuss various options and costs and identify best solutions now and future. All very professional and nice guys. Wish I had contacted balance and co for previous works. Will certainly use this company in the future.

We have used Balance and Company twice previously and have been delighted with their work. This repair was quite extensive involving the exterior of our house including replacing rotten timber, render repairs, new guttering, roof repairs and and full exterior repaint. At the outset Gary provided us with a very detailed, itemised quote. As the house is old we expected further work to arise during the repairs which when it did Gary again provided us with very prompt quotes and a detailed explanation of what was needed to carry out the repairs. The builders always arrived early and worked to a very high and tidy standard. We are very pleased with the final result and would thoroughly recommend Balance and Company.

I called in Balance and co for an emergency repair to my main roof, which they promptly made safe. Gary then took me through my options and I decided the best option was a complete new roof. The work was carried out very professionally and the workmanship was of excellent quality. Because of this I then asked Gary to quote for a tiled roof over my porch, garage & utility room which was also completed with the same quality as the main house roof. The guys were excellent turned up when they said & always tidied up before they left. All in all I can highly recommend Balance & co.

Contacted Ray at Balance via email to ask for a quote for some electrical sockets to be supplied and installed in our garage. Got a quote the same day and the work was completed in a socially distanced, safe way two days later. The electrician was friendly, considerate, efficient and left no mess. Ray was happy to invoice for the work following completion, and made sure that we had contact details and a clear invitation to get in touch if there were any problems with the work at any future time. Balance will definitely get a call from us for any future projects, big or small that we need taken care of at home

We have used this company before and the quality of work is excellent.This time it was to demolish and replace 10 fence panels with concrete posts and gravel boards. Work was completed to very high standard, on time and on budget. Would not hessitate to recommend company to others and we will be using again when occasion arises.

I’d approached a couple of companies who didn’t want to quote. Then I saw Balance & Co in a trustedtraders leaflet so called them. Gary said he’d quote and came out the next day. He booked me in for 6 weeks time but then had a window straightaway. Job done well. No fuss. Exactly what I wanted. Really happy. Good to know they do all types of building works. Would use again.

Gary and team, were informative helpful with nothing too much trouble. work was completed within five weeks. Clean tidy, friendly team, who I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We were given a quote by this very knowledgable builder and the work started promptly to remove our fireplace and make good. Everything was done beautifully and they came on time, cleared up well and took everything away. We were really pleased with the result and price and felt confident about contacting them if there were any problems. (There were none) I have no hesitation in recommending this company and have already to several of my friends.

This company can be summed up in three words. Polite, Professional, Punctual. Not only do they do the work but they also advise along the way and I would say to anybody using them to listen to what they say as in my case the end result is fantastic. Gary came to give us advice on what could be done to repair a flat lead covered roof. He took us through some options, told us what would be done and what might have to be done. Also explained that we would need scaffolding erected before the work could be done. There was a slight delay due to the current situation causing problems but two days after the scaffolding was erected, the work on the roof was started and completed. The work was done efficiently and professionally, the two chaps who came were polite, punctual, obviously very experienced and knowledgeable. (They also repined flashing on neighbours roof.) They cleared up and left the garden tidy. Viewed from above the new roof covering looks very neat, more importantly it's watertight. Gary called by a couple of days later to ensure the work had been done to his (and our) satisfaction and was very clear that if we should have any concerns with this roof in the future to call them and they would sort it. He arranged for the scaffolding to be collected which it was two days later. We would have no hesitation in recommending the company.

Renovation of daughter's bedroom removing existing units, plasterboard to ceiling, plastering all walls and ceiling, painting, fitting of fanlight, and putting shelving in the cupboard. Also, removal of 4 doors and frames upstairs and refitting new doors and frameworks which were then painted. Work was carried out on schedule and at the agreed quote. All tradespersons were friendly with good communication and very efficient. and professional. All work was carried out and completed to our satisfaction as we envisaged it. We are planning for this company to undertake more work at our home once the current climate is under control. The company promised our daughter would be in her bedroom before Christmas, which promise was kept.

Gary Miller has an exceptional team which he deploys so efficiently that no time is wasted and all aspects are dovetailed ; skip,electrics, gas,deliveries,plasterer,painter,aftercare ! Work is high quality and his team are friendly and professional. Each day they arrived on time and in good humour. They just got on with the job and worked extremely hard. Despite the tricky bits they never complained and used their expertise to resolve snags. They consult during the works and will go that extra to ensure customer satisfaction. My kitchen was finished on schedule and after each task along the way they tidied up ! I was most impressed.

This was the 4th time we have employed this company & as usual they have done a first class job, it is always a pleasure to have them at our property. This time it was to repair the roof & install new gutters & facias plus install a new step.

We have just had our decrepit old patio replace by this company. This is the third time we have used them and find them reliable, honest, cost-effective and pleasant to deal with. When finding a good builder like this, why go elsewhere. He helped us chose the paving, surrounding wall materials and coping stones and his men completed the job efficiently and were more than helpful in shifting benches and pot plants to other locations whilst they carried out the work, clearing up perfectly after they finished each day ending in a perfect new patio.

We have just had our old garage made into a utility room by BALANCE and Company. We couldn't be happier with the way the work was carried out. The price was agreed and stuck to. We had electricians, builders, heating engineers and plasterers attend and all were polite and very professional. They started on time at 8.30am and did a full days work, taking away all rubbish and leaving area tidy when leaving. The finished work was of a very high quality and we will be using this company for future works.

An excellent service provided by Gary and his team. We could not be happier from the installation of the footings, building the wall, through to the final rendering all of which matches our neighbour's walls perfectly. We will definitely be contacting Balance & Company for any future work we may need and would highly recommend.

Our front garden retaining wall had cracked and was starting to lean forward. When the company attended to give the estimate they advised us what needed to be done, and why, and answered any questions relating to this. Balance & Co took down the existing wall, removed bushes and excavated to below the existing foundation to provide room for another concrete block reinforcement wall. Then built new concrete block wall and rebuilt brick wall with drainage points. All this work was carried out to a high standard and every day all debris was taken away and the site left safe. We are very pleased with the finished result. The wall looks as good as new (in fact better) and the site was left clean and tidy. The final invoice was as per the written quote. All tradesmen involved were professional, polite and obviously experienced. I would definitely recommend this company.

Balance and Co quoted to totally re-plaster a bedroom, moving/replacing electrical sockets, boarding, plastering a new ceiling and securing and boarding over the old floorboards. They also replaced coving and skirting boards and fully painted the room. All work was carried out to a high spec. All trades turned up exactly as expected on time and worked straight through. As an example, when we were expecting the plasterer at 09:00, a plumber turned up 15 minutes earlier to disconnect the radiator. Very good project planning, especially as they had to work around a bedroom wardrobe fitting companies work schedule. Gary turned up regularly to inspect the work. It was good to have that point of contact. Gary would also respond promptly to any query we encountered - normally our decision to add to the initial project. We have several other projects planned and will definitely be using Balance and Co. Highly recommended.

We had some re-rendering undertaken in an awkward to reach position. Gary Mitchell of Balance and Co has considerable experience of building trades and coordinated the scaffolding and rendering well and ensured that the workmen took care to protect other parts of the building and were respectful of our home. Gary was helpful and easily contactable throughout. We might have got a cheaper price to complete the work from elsewhere but I am pleased that we chose him for this work because of the knowledge, experience and integrity that he demonstrated.
