We needed our living room, replastering and general updating. Gary from Balance and Company called we explained what we wanted and he said' no problem' we didn't realize quite what was involved but Gary talked us through our options and budget. It all turned out to be a much bigger job and I was quite concerned by the thought of plasterers, electricians, covering and painters but no need, all the trades were prompt, friendly, helpful and very tidy. There were a couple of slight delays but nothing serious. Gary checked in regularly and was always contactable. I would recommend Balance and Company and will happily use them again.

All the work was completed within the timeline. The men who carried out the work were very efficiant and made sure everything was cleaned before they departed. They were very helpfull to any questions I asked and I did add more work as they went on but they just took it in their stride. I had phoned other tradesmen and they either just ignored my phonecall or told me they would not be free untill March 2022. I cannot praise this company enough. They did a fantastic job and I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact I would not go to any other trader if they are able to the job for me.

Balance and co provided excellent service and customer care. The ceiling was repaired to a very high standard and within the agreed time and cost. I am completely satisfied with the result.

All the work to install my downstairs toilet was carried out by polite, professional tradespeople who arrived when expected and left everything clean and tidy. Gary was contactable at any time and nothing was any trouble. I would recommend using Balance & Co.

I wanted some kitchen cupboards replaced, electrical work and oven and dishwasher installed. It was all done to complete satisfaction and the contractors were polite and left everything clean. It was done within the quote supplied. I would recommend them.

Gary and his team installed new quartz worktops to our existing kitchen, plus new sinks and jobs. Also fitted new back door. All the work was carried out to a high standard, the site was kept clean and tidy and everyone involved was polite and helpful. Delighted with the work carried out and it was reasonably priced too.

I found Balance & Company via a Checkatrade leaflet posted through my door. By coincidence a neighbour had recently used them. They provided a prompt estimate, booked a date and carried out the work on schedule. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. The job site was kept tidy and cleaned before they left. The tradesman were polite and efficient and worked hard throughout the day. I am very happy with the standard of work and would not hesitate to use this company again. From my experience they can be thoroughly recommended.

All of the ceiling lights went out in my kitchen. I’d checked the fuse box and nothing had tripped, so got in touch with Bliss & Co via email. I’d had a problem with granite worktops in my kitchen the year before, and had spoken to Gary. While he wasn’t able to do the job I needed done, (cutting fitted granite in situ), he did recommend someone nearby who was a granite specialist, and the job was completed to my satisfaction. So I had no hesitation in emailing them again when the lights went out. I mailed on a Saturday evening, (18 June) and a swift appointment was made for Monday 20th June. I got a really fast reply from Dale Bliss (even though he was away on his hols - thank you, Dale) who deals with the electrical side in the company. Archie rang me on the morning of the 20th and asked if it would be convenient for him to get to me a little earlier - of course, it was! He identified and resolved the problem, even though it meant pulling up a couple of floorboards in the bathroom above the kitchen. He was quick, polite, professional and very tidy. I was really impressed, and wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again. Thanks to all involved.

Work carried out to a very high standard and to the agreed schedule and budget. Requested quote for kitchen refurbishment and I gratefully received excellent advice and options which will best suit my requirements regarding this.

We have had various work done by Balance over the past year+ covering plastering, electrical, plumbing, decorating, fencing and decking. Nothing is ever a bother and Gary and all the team are professional, friendly and always punctual. I would not hesitate to recommend Gary and Balance & Co, and already have plans for the bathroom renovation next year. Had them install a new shower door/unit, They arrived promptly, worked hard, very thorough, polite workers worked quickly, and did a really good job of it, tidied up after themselves left no mess. The shower looks great.

I would certainly recommend Gary Mitchell of Balance and Company Builders. He organised the refurbishment of a flat we purchased and got the work done promptly, taking only a few weeks from start to finish. Installation of kitchen we had purchased, painting and decorating, fibreglass insulation in loft, organising electrical system upgrade. A very good service.

I had a new facia, main door and surround re-painted and the side garage door replaced with a UPVC one. Work was carried out to the specifications, and everything left clean and tidy. All workers were very polite and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this company.

Total exterior upgrade to the house including gutters and fascias. Also replaced and modernised our last century kitchen to an up-to-date gem. Commissioned work done across the summer. High-quality workmanship by experts. Costs are always managed and discussed. Gary has an eye for evaluating just what will provide the best value and that is something special. The new porcelain floor in the kitchen spotlights to the ceiling and exterior night lights are all pleasing to the eye and add value. Couldn't be happier with the work done and the transformation of a shabby property into something I feel prouder to exhibit.

Serious water leak in our kitchen - we had managed to guesstimate its approximate location before I called Balance, but really had little idea of what we were dealing with. Gary got his team out very very quickly, recognising the urgency, and I have nothing but the highest praise for the work that Dave and Charlie did. They established where the leak was and whilst I had had visions of half my kitchen and flooring being removed to fix the leak, with potentially thousands of pounds of damage being caused, these absolute magicians managed to reach and fix the leak with minimal damage - just one shelf inside a cupboard unit needs replacing. Incredible! They worked so hard, and I am so grateful to them and Gary for their help. They have totally restored my faith in tradesmen, having being on the receiving end of some very dodgy workmanship a few years ago elsewhere in the property. Thank you thank you!
