Balance and Company did some fairly extensive renovations on my c19th house, replacing all front windows including bay, restoring cills and original cast iron columns, removing and replacing render to the front and gable wall of the house, installing several heli-bars in the brickwork, improving drainage around the front and side of the house, replacing plaster in exterior walls of an upstairs bedroom with drywall, and completing interior and exterior decorating. My experience with Gary was excellent from the start. Having worked for decades on houses like mine, he knew from a structural point of view what to expect when the plaster and render came off, so he was able to provide me with an extremely detailed quote that covered all of the possible problems we might encounter. This allowed me to cost various options sensibly, and the build came in precisely on budget! On a build this complex, invariably some issues will arise, but anything that did come up was dealt with swiftly and with no fuss. His team, many of whom have been with him for years, were cheerful, trustworthy, and respectful of my home. When a manufacturing defect caused a small problem with one of the upstairs windows months after the build was complete, Gary sent someone round to sort it out at no cost to me. The renovations have transformed the house. I'm delighted, and can't recommend Gary and his team highly enough.

Our front garden retaining wall had cracked and was starting to lean forward. When the company attended to give the estimate they advised us what needed to be done, and why, and answered any questions relating to this. Balance & Co took down the existing wall, removed bushes and excavated to below the existing foundation to provide room for another concrete block reinforcement wall. Then built new concrete block wall and rebuilt brick wall with drainage points. All this work was carried out to a high standard and every day all debris was taken away and the site left safe. We are very pleased with the finished result. The wall looks as good as new (in fact better) and the site was left clean and tidy. The final invoice was as per the written quote. All tradesmen involved were professional, polite and obviously experienced. I would definitely recommend this company.

After two months of knocking down walls & putting in doors, he did several remodeling jobs for me and catered to my demands every step of the way. Gary, Trev and the rest the team were very helpful and professional.

I found Balance and Co on Which after having a couple of builder horror stories. I have to say we were delighted with the high quality work in our spare room. We had to have a ceiling removed and replaced and all 4 walls had to cut back and replaced. Old windows removed and replaced. The guys were very friendly and punctual. They worked extremely hard. When we came across extra work to be done. Gary was very good at explaining what needed to be done and got our agreement before work went ahead. After the initial job we asked if they could decorate as well. Gary worked very hard to get the his team to do this especially as this job was not scheduled for. Definitely recommend them .

We needed a repair to a rainwater gully and drain. We also required new garden fencing, including digging up existing bushes etc. We agreed the quote, the team arrived as scheduled, completed the work in 1 day, left the site clean and tidy. The materials used were good quality. Very pleased with the result. Would definitely use them again.
